I would not recommend this tattoo shop. My husband had the easiest tattoo design which literally took 15 minutes. As you can see the lines are not straight and the guy "darkened" the area several times to make it look better. My husband has several tattoos so it definitely wasn't because he was moving his hand or couldn't tolerate holding still. The guy seemed knowledgeable, but definitely can't tattoo straight. Now we will be going home and getting this fixed. It was definitely a waste of money and had it been on my body I would have lost my mind. read more

Would give 0 stars if possible, they told my boyfriend and I we would definitely be able to get in the following day after we went in the day prior to email them our tattoo's we wanted. Called only a few times just to get an estimate on timing since it was our last day, to which they replied "we'll call you, we're still working on the sketches." Although, they had the images the day prior. Even after all the hassle on our last day on vacation, never received a call. At least would've been appropriate to be up front about scheduling and time frame. Acted as if we were harassing them when we were being extremely polite and considerate of their schedules. Would never recommend this place, I already have tattoos and know the process; the tracing does never take that long. Wish they would've just been up front about not getting us in, instead of wasting our time on our LAST DAY. Ridiculous. read more

My daughter and I went in Wednesday for a consultation and then came back Friday for the actual tattoo. They did a great job working with us both on exactly what we wanted, what size, color, and placement. This was my first tattoo and they really did a great job of explaining the process and how to take care of it. We will definitely come back for more the next time we are in Orange Beach! My tattoo is the "Always" from Harry Potter with my wife's and 2 daughters' first initial around the "Deathly Hallows" symbol. I decided to go with my friend to get a Cartledge piercing. We walked in and a man named Anthony greeted us. He was very laid back and nice. He explained everything about the piercing process and was very informative. My dad used to get tattoos when I was younger so this experience was very nostalgic. Jake did absolutely fantastic on my tattoo! Amazing detail and line work. He did it about two years ago(yes long time ago) and the color stuck amazingly with no fading so far. He reassured me it wouldn't be that painful as it was my first large tattoo. He was very light handed. Made sure to make small talk and kept me laughing. Only place I trust with my ink! He took his time to carefully customize a tattoo idea that I found online to make it my own. And with as sentimental as this tattoo is to me it meant a lot. Wish I could rate higher. read more

I have a vacation home right behind this tattoo shop. While I don't live here full-time, I decided I wanted to get a tattoo and I wanted to give it to a local business here. I went and spoke with one of the artists, explained to him what I wanted him to design. He took my idea said he would work on it for a few days and call me... five days later I heard nothing from them. When I told him initially that I was a part time resident he said no problem you have priority over people vacationing. I was glad to hear that so I wouldn't have to wait once the design is complete. It would appear they're more interested in seasonal people then the people that live right in their backyard. I'm sure the original owner that started this business who is no longer with us, would be embarrassed. I gave one star because I couldn't give a zero. Definitely 5 stars all the way!!! My husband and I vacation in Orange Beach every year and each year previously had not been able to set aside time to get our tattoos. This year we finally did, Eric talked to us about what we wanted and got us on the schedule. We went in to confirm our appointments and also talked with Jake, he was extremely professional and personable. The studio is clean and we were shown the packages containing new needles ect. Three more of our friends also ended up getting tattooed as well. Jake did my husbands tattoo and it was absolutely gorgeous!! Hope did my smaller palm tree tattoo and I couldn't be happier! Mona did two tats for our friends and they also looked amazing, her work was stellar. Hope was very kind and considerate of my ideas on placement as well as being efficient. We just came here an hour and a half for a basic cross black tattoo with initials and the "adopted son" said he had barely done enough tattooes to keep the shop open but turned us down. Wow! Excellent staff and work, would come to Orange Beach again just to get another tattoo done. Walked in spontaneously and got a Batman symbol on my ribs. Tim did a great job on the piece, the lining was excellent and the shading an even thick fill of 'stupid black', perfect for what I wanted. Jake did a piece on my girlfriend's ribs as well. Just got a cute tattoo here. Eric did a wonderful job. Very professional, very clean. He explained all phases of the process and showed me the sterile instruments before he started. Not my first tattoo, so I was familiar with the process. Had a fun time chatting with the crew there. Most important is how nice they were to this "older hippie gal". When I get a tattoo, I want to be taken seriously, as you take this ink with you for the rest of your life, and you want your artist to be professional and courteous...and they sure were!
