We set up an appointment the day prior and paid the deposit to reserve our spot on the last day of vacation to be sure we cared for it properly by now swimming. Planned our whole day around getting 7pm tattoos, arrived 10 minutes early only to be told that they were behind and wasn't going to be able to get them in that day. My girlfriend and I decided we wanted new ink while on vacation in Gulf Shores. After looking into a couple of places we landed at Precision Ink. What a great decision!! They were very accommodating and worked with our schedule to get us in on our last day at the beach. And the results were amazing! Floyd was our artist, and I simply cannot say enough good things about him and his work! He captured exactly what we wanted and exceeded our expectations. He is very personable and fun! Everything from setting the appointment to the final result was a memorable experience. My fiancé and I wanted 5 words that matched. When we first came in, a guy chilling on the couch (who clearly worked there) gave my fiancé an extremely dirty look. Which was off putting from the start. then the guy at the counter told me my tat would be $160 but my fiancés would be $200....completely unacceptable to give two people standing right next to each other different prices and for no apparent reason. Don't go to this place to get your tattoo! I walked in to get picture number one and the lady at the front said my skin was too burned! I had almost no sun on the area I wanted tattooed ( picture #2). I guess it was meant to be. They probably would have messed it up anyway. read more

Went with several friends to get some simple pieces done. This shop specializes in doing "Pinterest" tattoos for people on vacation, they say. LoL! Ana did a larger forearm tattoo for my friend. She had excellent things to say about her. The shop minimum is $65, they don't do piercings, and they do allow a friend in for moral support. :) read more

Prices were good...HOWEVER... all 3 of our tattoos did not turn out. They are spotty and the ink did NOT hold. I wanted a tattoo to remember my vacation and precision looked like the best of the bunch. I couldn't have felt more unwelcome or disrespected. With the exception of Ben, people treated their customers horribly. My artist, john, clearly did not want to do the tattoo, blared music, didn't introduce himself, show me the stencil of the tattoo so I could see what it would look like and approve it, explain the shading he planned to do, speak at all the whole time, bandage me properly, or explain aftercare. He just handed me a sheet of paper and walked away. He did good quick work but I couldn't have felt more like he did not want me there. Terrible. He also grumbled and I wanted to walk out but he started the tattoo before I got the chance. Try another shop or artist. read more

I went in to see about getting a cover-up tattoo and the guy behind the counter was rude and gave me an attitude when informing me that I would not be able to get the design I wanted to cover my old tat unless it was at least 6 inches long. He was a jerk so I took my business a few doors down where they did an awesome cover-up in the design I wanted and it was only 3.5 inches! I guess the guy at Precision may have not had the skill to do what the other shop could, but there was no need to treat paying customers that way. Not friendly at all! read more

I was on vacation in Gulf Shores and decided I wanted another tattoo. I called them on Thursday night and asked them if I needed an appt to come in. He said no. When I first went in, on Friday, the day after having called them, the girl behind the counter (the owner's daughter, she was proud to let me know) asked me what I wanted. I told her that I had an idea that needed an artist to sketch, rather than look at pictures. She advised me that, when you come to a tattoo parlor, the first thing you want to do is look at all the pictures of designs on the walls then look at the artist's portfolio and choose from there or get ideas. I told her that I already had an idea, I just needed an artist. She told me again that the only portfolio available at that moment was her dad's, and she didn't know where the other portfolios were, but maybe I should walk around and look at the pictures on the walls. I already had five tattoos when I walked in the place...I think I'm familiar with what to do when you walk into a tattoo parlor. Sheesh!!! After that, I was told that the owner had an appt due in any minute and the other artist there was asked if he could do my tattoo, and he said no, he was going to go to lunch and if I wanted to come back at 4:00p (it was 12:30p at that moment), he would see if he could do it then, or I could come back tomorrow. I was leaving town on Saturday, so I told them no, I'd just go somewhere else, and they didn't seem to be to sad to see me leave. Glad I called Next Level Tattoo, right down the street. read more

Seriously amazing. I'm from Washington and was in the area for vacation. I've never gotten a tattoo done before and was very nervous about the pain. I received absolutely amazing care from the staff and immediately felt less nervous after talking to the men. It felt like a fairly busy day and I noticed the employees were very attentive to every customer. I had a custom font and my artist was very precise. The tattoo itself felt way less painful and shorter than I anticipated. My artist explained to me after wards that he matched the best-sized needle to the work I requested to ensure the best, longest-lasting, results with out unnecessarily drawing out the process. They also told me multiple times before and after how to take care of my tattoo. A trip here is the perfect choice especially if you're an extremely picky customer like I am. read more
