one if the worst tattoos I've ever received, and I have quite a few. The lines are uneven, shakey, and there are just spots where dude completely skipped over. spots that are supposed to be one continuous line were broken up into multiple lines with either giant gaps throughout or just unsteady lines. I went here getting ready for my next orders and not having much time to spare to get them done. It was my first two tattoos and they were shocked that I wanted one so detailed for my first one. And they worked so well with me. Keeping me well informed of what they were doing and what part they were on. They were so accommodating and helpful. Absolute ripoff. My wife and I came in here on vacation, and wanted to get something memorable. We messed up and told them that we from out of town, and they gave us a quote that was about 4 times more than it should have been. When I said that we absolutely wouldn't pay that, the girl asked us what we would be willing to pay. Sorry but that's not the way this works. I'm not haggling for a tattoo. I would give this place zero stars if I could, but unfortunately Yelp makes me at least give this shit hole one star. Scheduled an appointment, showed up at scheduled appointment time only to be told that it would be another hour at least before they could get us in. No problem right? We're on vacation so we'll find something to keep us busy until they contact us... Was finally contacted by the shop well over an hour to come back, we all show up excited to finally get our tattoos - only to find out that they still aren't ready for us and tell us we have to wait even longer. Keep in mind we had an APPOINTMENT. The entire time we are waiting for our APPOINTMENT, they continue to except walk ins. After waiting 3 and half hours we cut our losses and left. Absolutely unprofessional and beyond frustrating. Go somewhere else that actually takes care of their customers. read more

very unprofessional environment. walked in and they're all cuddled on the couch eating chinese (?) food? then when we explained we wanted a few piercings, no tattoos, they began to question where we get our tattoos done. i explained studio 251 (HIGHLY RECOMMEND), and they all began to laugh and disrespect the artists. constant jokes of "as a joke?" and "no i think they're serious!" i mentioned how we could just leave and take our business elsewhere, and suddenly the whole vibe changed. this says a lot about a studio where an artist repeatedly did heroin and left his "supplies" in the bathroom (in which the owner saw 0 issues????). overpriced for a studio who doesn't clean their equipment. rinse off the used clamps then proceed to use them on a new client without sanitizing. you're much better off with next level or studio 251. shame i have to put a star on this review to say anything about the poor service. read more

The receptionist asked the artist if he could do two VERY SMALL arrows and he, over and over, mentioned how tired as f*** he was, how he was shaky as hell and how he was not doing anything else. Meanwhile, we could hear the whole conversation and the receptionist continued pressing to see if we could get our VERY TINY tattoo and he continued. We went to four different parlors this evening and this was the most rude, distasteful experience I've had in a long time. 10/10 don't recommend. Gave one star because I had to. read more

we had an amazing experience at symbolic ink. our family was on vacation & decided we wanted tattoos since we are now all over 18. we had called places in gulf shores but no one had openings so we reached out to symbolic ink. we called & they said to come on in & see what we want. we came in & the women up front (april) was super helpful & gave us advice. we ended up having to wait almost 2 hours since it was a friday night & they were doing walk ins. we came in & drew up the stencils & signed health forms. my tattoo only took about 10 minutes & so did my fiancés. my brothers took about an hour & 15 min minutes since it was bigger & more detail. brittney tattooed my fiancé & i & she was super calm & did an amazing job! randy tattooed my brother & was very helpful & explained the whole process. i would definitely come again! read more

My friends and I chose to go to Symbolic Ink in May of 2018 to get piercings. Over a year later, I go to change my nose stud to a standard hoop and my piercer in Austin was appalled at the size and quality of the piercing. He said it looked as if they ordered the jewelry online as it wasn't even the size of an earring. I went through some extreme pain and bleeding to fit a standard sized nose stud in and honestly, I wish I would have known more about nose piercings before I got one here. One red flag was that they offered to pierce us with hoops which I knew wasn't standard. The staff was really awesome so I hate writing this but they need to do some more training and research in the piercing department. read more

Do not use this shop. They don't care about their clients. If you make an appointment don't expect your artist to show, they don't call you to let you know they won't be there. So it will be a waste of your time. The owner doesn't seem to care about losing clients plus they have small children running around! read more
