Shady location to escape the heat
Clare H.

Located off the Main Street in a cool shady part of the jungle, it's worth checking out. They have espresso and soy milk and a much more western breakfast menu. Food and service were great and fast, produce is fresh and food is tasty.

So glad we stumbled upon this place after coming in the back way! It was worth the adventure of looking for it! The quiches were perfection and the salad was fresh a colorfully the ambience of this place is magical! You're literally dining in a quiet sanctuary jungle. Can't wait to return here

Perfect breakfast!

By far our favorite place for breakfast in Zipolite! Celebrating their 14th year of business their new location next to Gustavo's is idyllic. Everything we have tried has been great but the French toast and BLT are our favorites. Do NOT miss place.

Wow, what a cool little gem tucked back in the jungle and off the beaten path. Just a small sign on the ground by a dirt path leading up to the restaurant. Soft jazz music was playing, tables were set up around the small area, fast friendly service and a great breakfast! The menu is full of breakfast items, coffee drinks, fresh squeezed juices and bakery. It's only open 8-3 and closed on Tuesday and Wednesday. Pricing was very reasonable! I'll definitely be back!!

Yes we visited And it was very good. You need to try the sweet and salty breakfast that was my favorite and the French toast are amazing.

Awesome Huevos a Rancheros!

There isn't anything better in Zipolite, probably Oaxaca, and superb by any urban standard (we're from NYC).

Located along Playa Zipolite. It's ok! We dropped by for a drink before dinner. For a weekday…read moreevening, it was largely empty. We opted for beachfront seating. At high tide, the water occasionally comes up to your feet :3 Seating isn't the cleanest, there were cigarettes on the floor and the table had drink residue... Service was a also bit slow, first took a while to take our orders and even longer to deliver the orders. We were maybe one of three parties there... The drinks themselves were fine. Not terrible, but I think we've had better elsewhere.

This beach side restaurant is famous for their seafood, although they serve most everything. What…read morecaught my attention most on the menu, was their pizza. I found out that they actually don't start serving pizza until the late afternoon. I've been craving a pizza for months, and the only good pizza that I've experienced so far was in the capital city. For lunch I selected the two tacos de res. The tacos were made to order and they were excellent. The best thing about this restaurant is the ocean view. The complete side facing the ocean is open to the beach. You get the breeze, ocean surf and sea salt smell, and adequate sun. The restaurant is protected from the sun and elements. I could literally sit here all day, however I didn't notice any receptacles to plug in and charge. I also don't know if they have WiFi here. There is an adjacent hotel that is part of the establishment which I'm sure is nice for the guests that stay here.

The beach dogs were a highlight: friendly, chill, and so well-behaved that a few even napped at our feet during meals. Service at the restaurant was quick, and I ate there often -- the food was great and the Wi-Fi there worked well. I also felt really safe; there's someone stationed outside through the night. The rooms were comfortable, and the cleaning staff deserves special mention -- the woman who cleaned our room went above and beyond (she even organized my makeup one morning!). Everything was spotless, and the beds were super cozy. The main downside was the Wi-Fi in the rooms -- it barely worked, so I had to head down to the restaurant for a connection. We stayed in a suite, which looked a bit more spacious in the photos, so that was a small disappointment. There were also a few bugs and small critters (mosquitoes, crickets, lizards), but considering the off-grid, jungle-meets-beach vibe, it's understandable. Overall, it was a great stay -- beautiful setting, perfect location, and easy access to food, the beach, and town. Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants a laid-back, scenic Tulum experience.

We sat on the couches on the beach. Attention to detail, Delicious food, great service, beautiful atmosphere. Highly recommend for a romantic quick bite or dinner with friends. It is a stray from the bohemian character and culture of zipolite - while we enjoyed everything - I would suggest this place as an option but not a solution to all the other great small culturally significant locally owned and family driven restaurants in town. They are open later than 6pm- so that should be updated on Yelp.

The glass of orange juice was freshly squeezed and very large! The prices were very reasonable. I will definitely be back to this restaurant.

Delicious food - small portions - OK prices for the area - customer service was hit or miss…read more The shrimp skewers were very good but after two small skewers and a small scoop of garlicky mashed potatoes I was still hungry ... I was surprised how good the fish burger was ... the fish was so high quality it should have been called a grilled fish sandwich rather than a burger ... Would have been good to have another option instead of french fries though ... nice if you could have chosen another side ... like applesauce or salad maybe... or steamed carrots or broccoli idk ... I always look for healthy options I do miss the herbed oil they had before since the salsas they served with the bread were much too hot for me to enjoy and the bread could have used much more of the herbed sauce they drizzled on top ... would have also liked if they toasted the bread a snitch more too but it was good bread We especially liked the non-alcoholic drink called "Pinada" which is a slushy of pineapple and coconut ... it's a must .... they made it right away the first time we asked for it but when we asked the second time before our food was even delivered they did not give it to us until after we finished our meal so we had to cancel the order ... not sure why it can sometimes take so long but not really professional to serve it after the meal when we asked for it before the meal We would come back here to try other menu items ... am curious about some of their vegan selections Full disclaimor: the female waiter wasn't very friendly ... she looked annoyed (with her clenched mouth and lack of eye contact) the entire time and the little dude was a lot nicer and actually acknowledged you as a person ... he was maybe too accommodating thought and it was not necessarily for him to get the chairs for us ... he meant well but it kind of made it harder to sit down with it moving and all It is nice also to have the choice of indoor and outdoor seating ... good place to watch the superbowl as they have the large screen upstairs and nice that you can see then grill your food in front of you ... also general environment although there is a dog who sadly looks at you while you are eating and it makes you feel a tad nervous ... the dog doesn't do anything though just sits there in the off chance he gets a treat
