Once you walk in, you know you're in a salon that is clean, well valued, and have a sense of serenity! The decor is also on point and there has never been a time that I've gone that the shop has been in a disarray. What shop have you ever been to that's always spotless and smell good at all times no matter how busy it is. Toni makes sure she takes pride in her brand and is a perfect example of her work! She is always put together and never makes excuses as to why her hair or appearance is a mess and she is always professional. This is why I was shocked to see the 1 star review that was left! I'm not a hairstylist, but I do have curly hair and know that my curly hair will never be bone straight with a relaxer. A relaxer is made to straighten your hair, but a good stylist is able to keep your hair healthy by keeping the integrity of your texture, especially when you want to add color. That is one thing Toni and I have discussed when she has colored my hair in the past. Her motto is healthy hair first! She is not one of those stylist that will put chemicals in your hair without you understanding what comes with the process. I love how she has taken care of my scalp; which has allowed my hair to grow and it's the healthiest it has ever been. No more shedding! No more flakes! No more dead hair! I have a beautiful full short cut with volume and she's even gotten my thin sides to fill in. I am thankful that Toni always puts her clients first, always reinvesting in her hair studio, takes the time to always educate her clients, and most recently have made major changes to incorporate COVID changes that proves she's not playing any games with our health nor hers!

Alicia is an absolute expert in her craft. She is a true color master, gives an excellent cut (including the perfect bangs!) and is just overall a wonderful stylist. I brought her both a topper and a wig that needed some tender love and care. The color on my topper needed a refresh, and she created a beautiful root melt that complemented my skin tone perfectly. I also left a wig with her for a color and cut correction. It had been a very bright, ashy platinum blonde with a lot of blotchiness, the ends were choppy up and uneven, and Alicia completely transformed it. She warmed up the color, evened everything out and added gorgeous lowlights for depth and dimension. I showed her an inspo photo, and she matched it exactly (if anything, she made it even better). She is hands down my favorite stylist. Working with wigs and toppers takes a very special skill and Alicia was incredibly careful, patient and detail oriented throughout the process. What I appreciated most was how much she genuinely cared. She made every effort to make sure I was happy with the results, even texting me pictures along the way to make sure I loved the color and that we were aligned on the vision. That level of care is so rare and speaks volumes about both her professionalism and character. I've worn toppers for years and have yet to come across someone who truly knows what they're doing the way she does. I couldn't be happier with the results and would recommend her without hesitation. If you are looking for someone you can genuinely trust with to hair (bio or not) Alicia is the one. read more

The Vagaro system canceled the appointment. My boyfriend did not miss an appointment as there was no appointment for him to attend. I was physically in the salon for my own haircut when I was told that, because the cancellation did not appear on your end, it would be treated as a no-show and the deposit would be forfeited. Being told that "it doesn't matter that the app canceled" felt dismissive, especially since this was a platform failure outside of our control. I completely understand protecting stylists' time and livelihoods. However, when a business chooses to rely on third-party booking software, system errors are part of that risk, and placing the full financial burden on the customer in those cases does not feel reasonable. A more flexible or empathetic approach would have gone a long way. My feedback is about tone, accountability, and fairness when technology fails, not about avoiding payment. ______________________________________ Initial review: This review is for Sonia Luque. I never go out of my way to write a negative review, but this situation truly upset me because of her lack of humility and understanding. I am a repeat customer and often refer people to this salon, but I will be sure not to do that again. I booked an appointment for my boyfriend, and the Vagaro app canceled it for some reason. Rather than understand that the appointment got canceled by the app, she decided to keep our $70 deposit, and said it would not count toward the next appointment. In the most smug way I have ever heard, she said "well I was here on time". I didn't argue that she doesn't deserve to be paid. But you're a business using an imperfect tool to book appointments, and your response to customers should reflect that. I don't appreciate smugness, and I don't appreciate being treated like a liar. Unfortunately, this salon has lost 2 customers. I'm leaving this review for anyone who has to deal with Sonia - do not expect her to be reasonable.
