And best of all, there's nearly always a sale so you can justify why you're checking again - you know, just in case they have your size, and whilst you're there why not, of course, check out the new stock? It's like Office with some of the slightly off-key, trendy brands common to it- Sugar and Vagabond to name a couple. There are also clothes at the back, of the same ilk as its shoes, fashionable, quirky and a little different to that which you normally find on the high street. The only downfall is the price, which can be pretty high. But there are, of course, the sales.

Instead of doing the sensible thing and going home, i went shopping! hurrah! After trying on almost every single dress, I decided to buy shoes instead and was just treated really really well. TK Maxx is an unexpected saviour for those who struggle to find clothes to fit them and a fantastic…read moreconcept for everyone else. The idea is simple: TK Maxx buys clothes at the end of their line for peanuts and sells them for just above peanuts to the public. Their selling point is brands for a lot less, which is true and attractive enough in itself. For me however, as a gentleman of some height who struggles to find trousers in other stores and then generally gets ripped-off when he does, TK Maxx is a God-send. Not only do they buy loads of US brands which do my size, but they also very conveniently organise all their clothes by size, meaning I can simply stroll up to the rack in question and then sort through all the clothes that are likely to fit me in one fell swoop. No trekking to each store for the same outcome. AND it's super-cheap, typically £30 for trousers, which for a tall guy, is hard to find. So TK Maxx, I salute you. May you long find business in these here shores.

Has an upmarket feel to it and you will generally be greeted in the store by an older gentleman who looks like he has done this for some time. Some of the styles are a bit odd to say the least but I guess that just makes them traditional and I also guess that there is a market for this type of shoe. To try and sum it up they make bespoke slippers, now you either know that sort of thing existed or it has never crossed your mind - Those that know should go to this store - The others need a "typical" high street shoe shop.

It's really unfortunate. Although there are lots of clothes, you are just better off going to central London as it's a case of lots of choice but really nothing amazing to choose from really. The best thing about this place though is the make-up counters! You can get everything here from Benefit to Chanel. I'd probably stick to these kinds of purchases if you decide to visit Debenhams in Clapham Junction. This place isn't the best. More of good Sunday afternoon browse rather than a full-on shop...

I have always had an excellent experience at this Clarks store, they have welcoming and great staff…read moreand it is well-presented and run. I'm a big Clarks fan - been buying from them all my life, and more recently I have barely bought shoes from anywhere else(!). They are a little more premium than maybe some other shops in the high street, but the quality is usually outstanding. I have pairs of shoes from them - part of their 'UnStructured' brand - which have literally lasted years of almost everyday wearing. Anyway, unlike my usual experience with them, I had to return some faulty shoes where the sole had unglued itself. I had been putting it off, as I find these situations quite stressful, thinking I would have to argue my case as I couldn't find the receipt. But I was extremely pleasantly surprised. The regular staff were very understanding and shared my view that this was unusual quality for them. The manager first proposed that she would replace them - ordering in a new pair at the right size for next week - if I would just bring in a bank statement showing the sale. Hurrah I thought. However, when she went to order in the new pair, she realised that they out of stock for this particular shoe, and so then offered for me to exchange them right there and then for a new style. So - amazingly - I ended up literally walking out the shop with brand new lovely shoes, and they just took the old ones without receipt or receipt. This may have been quite unusual, but I am now even more of a fan and a very loyal customer to the Clapham Junction branch!

She was so rude in what she was saying to me and she was so aggressive in her tone and giving me dirty looks like she wanted to fight me. She could of just said It was closed in a polite manner instead of taking her frustration out of me. I didn't know clarks employ people that are this violent with their potential customers!
