That alone should tell you everything. I always tell Kara that she is a hair magician, she truly can fix or transform any situation you have going on. I work an intensive outdoor job, so my hair goes through a lot (and she has never once shamed me for that). Every time I see her, it feels like a complete reset. She has always kept my blonde hair fresh, dimensional, and with personality. I have never once walked out of her studio disliking my hair or wondering if I made a mistake. Before I started seeing Kara, I had a lot of not-so-great salon experiences. Stylists would ignore my request to keep my hair long and cut off way more than I asked for. With Kara, that has never been an issue. She genuinely listens to you! She shows me exactly what she plans to do, respects my preferences, and still offers guidance based on what will actually work best. She finds that perfect balance between honoring what you want and using her expertise to elevate it. Kara has been there through so many phases of my life, from a disheveled 19yo college kid to an early 30s working professional, and somehow always knows exactly how to make my hair feel like me, just better. She's also been incredibly flexible and understanding when it comes to my long drives and work schedule. She has also gone out of her way to help me more times than I can count. I once got tree sap in my hair at work and texted her for help, and she immediately came to the rescue (peanut butter or melted butter, for those curious). Another time, she stayed after my appointment just to teach me how to curl my hair. That level of care is hard to find. I honestly can't say enough good things about her. I don't know what I'll do when she retires! Well, imagine my delight when Jenell herself (not some student / random person) waxed my eyebrows and halfway through I realized that there was no stinging, burning, sneezing or pain! Got the best hair cut I've ever had - usually it's cut wet and straight across and I get triangle hair. This was my first deva cut dry and I love the layers. She taught me how to style my hair - I learned about moisture, how much product to use, the difference between gels and creams and how to leave conditioner in for my curls.
