I've been seeing Dr. Bowden for over a year: multiple visits for a couple problems, two, new, (challenging) glasses prescriptions, and contact lens fittings. Living in Lions Bay, I see him at both the Squamish and W. Van offices. Having been to optometrists for almost 40 years, I endorse Clark as the best I've ever worked with. He's a total pro, very current with his knowledge, seems to genuinely values his patients, listens, has a sharp sense of humour, and is totally committed to better eye care. At my last visit, his words were, "OK, we're going to get to the bottom of this, and get you seeing better." No finer words could be spoken! At a recent visit, I went in expecting another dose of the dreaded dilation drops... no more! His practice has invested heavily in state-of-the-art technology that takes a wide radius image of the eye through laser scanning, eliminating the need for drops for what they claim is 95% of their patients, and provides the doctors with incredible (and documented) evidence of the condition of your eyes. This is an excellent commitment to the comfort and well-being of their patients at Optomeyes. Having read a comment on this review site, I'd like to suggest that whether the admin. staff smiles at you or not, has little significance on the calibre of heath care provided by the doctors. For sure, the whole experience of visiting Optomeyes matters (Joe at the West Van office is an excellent fitter), but what really counts, for me, is what happens in that examination room. Making an appointment for the time slot I needed was easy, the phone staff was pleasant and professional. This is my third visit in 4 years, but my eyesight is starting to degrade and on my last visit about 14 months ago Dr Bowden wanted us to stay on top of it. When I showed up on Friday he already had a gameplan in place almost like I was there last month. He is very professional and approachable very knowledgeable and he seems just passionate about the eye. We now have a plan moving forward and unless he invents a time machine my eyesight will continue to degrade but we hope we can slow it's momentum. 2 thumbs up I normally hate going to the doctors but going here is aok. keep up the good work read more

I have been using the services of Optomeyes in Squamish BC for a number of years and have recently had my eye exam done by Dr McRoberts. The staff was very diligent in setting up my appointment and reminding me of it closer to the date. As always the front desk staff were friendly and the appointment was on time. I was provided with information relating to the use of progressive contact lenses and processes for laser surgery with pros and cons. I had my glasses adjusted while waiting for the eye drops to take effect which was a good use of time. I look forward to getting my new contact lenses and have no doubt I will get solid advice on how to use them. read more

Soon I received a call from this eye clinic, after carefully verifying my identity, with the time and date of my appointment. When the date was approaching, I received another reminder call to confirm the appointment time for the medical examination again. Upon arrival, we were greeted with friendly and professional reception and service. You will feel comfortable and at ease throughout the process of dealing with this clinic. Great experience at Optomeyes in Squamish this week! I am so delighted to write this review! The entire staff here is very pleasant and professional with the latest technology at their service. My eye exam appointment was with Dr. Chiu and his knowledge and enthusiasm for his specialty were refreshing. He carefully reviewed my test results, explaining everything in a clear and understandable way. Optomeyes differs from other optometrist practices in their greater emphasis on clinical care and treatment, not just on doing refractions for glasses or contacts. They have diagnostic equipment far superior to that of most hospitals, and certainly on the occasion of an injury to my wife's eye Drs. Bowden and McRoberts clearly knew more of what to do than did the emergency docs at the hospital. In a world of ho-hum convenience, eyes are too precious to trust to discount practitioners. The staff at Optomeyes are very friendly and helpful! The girls at the front desk always welcome me with a smile. Dr. Hennefent is wonderful, quick and thorough. She takes her time to go through your exam and teach you about eye care. The girls in the dispensary are very helpful when trying to pick out the right glasses. Optomeyes is also really great with kids! My children love getting their eye checked and it's cover still they are 18years old! I highly recommend Optomeyes! read more

I have been a long time client here and have had excellent service over the years. In particular, they picked up an additional eye issue, in which I needed a procedure for which drastically improved my quality of life. I had bent my frames on my driving glasses and stopped there to see if they could fix/straighten them before heading on to Pemberton as road conditions were bad.
