I received the call that the lenses were in. After sitting in the waiting room a half hour I was told they were having difficulty installing the one lens, I waited another 1/2 hour before being told they wanted to send everything (lenses and frame) to be buffed to fit. After explaining I had no back up pair of glasses, the staff said I barely had a script and should be fine without glasses, (not what the Dr said). I declined, they ended up sending a drawing along with the lense that didn't fit back, Im now wearing the glasses with one new lens and one old one. Almost three weeks later I finally got my glasses with lenses after repeatedly calling and asking for my money back.

I had purchased a pair of eyeglasses from Bouquet Mulligan & Demilo that I somehow damaged and needed a new pair and I went to see what was available and they were running a special on Oakley glasses and I came across a pair that I really wanted and made a purchase and got a discount and some other nice items for free. I recently had a problem with my Oakley's and took them back to see if they could be fixed. In order to fix them they had to order a part. When the part came in I took them back and not only did they fix them, they did it free of charge. Highly recommend this business, great customer service, great technicians and great eye doctors.

We took a trip to Rehoboth Beach on a Friday and, being unfamiliar with the ocean, I went in with my glasses and lost them when a wave crashed into me. I have an especially strong prescription (-6.25 & -6.5), so not having vision correction for an extended time isn't a viable option for me. I called a few places on Saturday when we were home again, but they either had a two week turnaround time to make a new pair of glasses (not an option, as I'd be out of the state at that point) or didn't have lenses in my prescription in stock for a more quickly made pair. When I phoned ModernEyes, Emily answered my call and was immediately sympathetic, friendly, and very helpful. She was able to find lenses in my prescription, and when I went to ModernEyes to pick out a pair of frames to go with them, she was incredibly helpful in choosing styles that suited me and advising me on which pair would best suit my time constraints, budget, and personal style. (I feel like it's the first time my tastes have aligned so well with someone helping me pick out frames!) They were able to cut the lenses to fit the frames in house, and in about 30 minutes, my new glasses were ready. She helped me fit the frames comfortably to my face and assured me I could get them adjusted if they ended up feeling too tight or if the lenses were disorienting in any way. I can't adequately express my gratitude for her patience, warmth, and attentiveness. Something that I thought might derail my entire vacation ended up being resolved quicker than I could imagine. A huge huge thank you to Emily for being such a lovely presence and helper, and thank you to ModernEyes for having what I needed when I needed it!

The nurse assistants and Dr. Rommel are not only very good at their jobs but are very personable and appear to take an actual interest in the patient's well-being throughout each visit. I cannot imagine any better eye care anywhere than I get at Manning & Rommel Associates. Note: The "review mafia" must have put this place on their "hit-list" for some reason. I went to them for an eye exam and purchased 2 pair of glasses from them in June. Dropped about…read more$1400. Overall experience was fine. I lost a pair of the glasses I had bought 7 months later ( January). I'm about 5 months out from my next annual checkup. I don't want to drop a lot of $, when I may need a new script in a few months, but do want to have a back up pair. Although I have never done it before I was thinking about ordering a cheap pair on line to get me through to when I would go back to see them in June. I called them to talk about my situation and to ask them for the Pupillary Distance (PD) measure because that was missing from the prescription that they had provided me. After speaking with their representative I was told that they do not give that measurement to the patient and that is only kept for them when you buy glasses from them. Tried explaining my situation, that I had paid for an optometry examination and that I expect the PD is a part of what I had paid them for. For the most part all I received was a rude response. In my opinion their policy shows that they care nothing about their patients and are only concerned with making as much as they can. Instead of a repeat customer from me and my wife, we will choose to take our business elsewhere. I will not recommend them to anyone I know and leave it up to anyone who cares to read this review if they should do business with them.

Their facility is state-of-the-art and they have all the testing equipment that you could fathom. That, coupled with their surgical center and their ability to do LASIK in-house makes them a no-brainer. Anyone living within 60 miles of this place should go there, period.
