I'd give him five stars on installation, cleanup, and warranty follow up. I've uploaded some pictures of the warranty work Dan did today. One of the posts had warped and it was in the most visible, street facing, spot. (of course it would be!) . We couldn't be happier with how Dan was able to fix that post, with surgically minimal impact. Underneath the muscular exterior, Dan's a righteous dude with a good heart.

I have sourced and hired all of my own subs and I can honestly say that Beach City Fences is in my top 5. I needed 4 old gates replaced and I'm glad I selected them to do the job. Dan came out to evaluate the job on Tuesday, I had an estimate from him by Wednesday, and on Thursday a crew of 4 arrived at my house and got the job done in one day. You read that correctly - 4 gates in ONE day! I did get two other bids prior to selecting Beach City Fences, however, they weren't as competitive as Dan's bid. More importantly, my instincts told me Beach City Fences was the right fit for my job. They were hard workers, respected my property, worked efficiently, and cleaned up after themselves. You'd never know they had even been at my house. I would not hesitate to recommend them to friends and family and would definitely hire them again for future projects. Side note: they were really nice to my dog. I'm pretty sure she wanted to go home with them. I've decided not to take in personally.

Update: Its been over a year since they installed these…read moredoors and i have to lower the stars. There were many issues that came up after what i thought was a great install. The doors are beautiful and well done i have to give them credit for the custom job. However the follow up was not great. I kept getting the run around and they promised to fix it many times and never came out and after 1 week of calls and text they stopped responding and just ignored me. First of all, the doors were super heavy, and they never installed them with a footing into the concrete. They bolted them to the stucco wall, without factoring, how heavy these doors were. After a couple of weeks due to the weight, these doors began to sag as when they bolted them to the wall they didn't even ensure that they were drilling into wood to hold the weight. And when they were installing one of the doors, they drilled so deep it went into my sons bedroom and made a hole in the drywall which I complained about and they said they would fix, but never came out to do it. I had to pay another $1000 to get somebody else here to correct their install; create a footing, replace the hinges for commercial ones, since the ones they installed, were very flimsy, considering the weight and adjust the doors to account for the weight. Like I said, the doors are beautiful but their install and follow up is bad. They are really nice people, but I would not have them install any project because if something goes bad, they will give you the round around.

The crew, the owner and his son, showed up right on time and got straight to work. Everything was done exactly as promised, and they didn't cut any corners. They made sure my gate opened and closed perfectly before they left, and they even cleaned up the whole area afterward; not a bit of mess left behind. They also painted the section they worked on, and it looks fantastic now. You can tell they really know what they're doing, and the price was very fair for the quality of work.
