Descending into the basement, I immediately noticed that it was kind of warm down there, not an ideal shopping temperature. Luckily I was able to find what I wanted to shop for pretty easily and considered the prices to be reasonable. The dressing room was not clearly marked, and it was for both men and women. The whole room had seen better days. Lastly, the line to pay was moving as slow as slugs due to minimal cashiers but thankfully some more joined to help out. It wasn't a perfect shopping experience so I'm in agreement with the current Yelp rating of 3.1 stars.

Fast forward about 10 years and I'm actually holding a pair of shoes that one of my former classmates may have actually worn. What kind of time warp is this?! Well I'm happy to report that while I still can't believe I own "cool kids" sneakers, I still know how to find a bargain. My highlighter colored Nike Air Max sneaks are extra fly and I only paid 60 bucks for shoes that used to cost about 30 percent more than that. Now something I apparently sacrifice patronizing this establishment is service. I had to find an employee. And as I walked toward the counter with my desired shoe, the shoe attendant was summoned from trying on the merchandise he was supposed to be selling. He asked, "What size?" I said "9.5." He handed me the shoe back and said that it was a 9.5. One shoe. One. Have you ever gone into a shoe store and in good conscience tried on just one shoe? One? I thought so. So I asked for the match and he said, "oh is one of your feet bigger than the other?" WHAT DOES IT MATTER?! I ASKED FOR THE MATCH! NOT THE THIRD DEGREE! "Yeah." I left my raggedy chucks in the trash can outside the store and wore my highlighters out of the store, 5-year-old-fresh-from-a-trip-to-Payless style. Extra star for the ATMOSphere. Love it.

I understand they're trying to make it fair. However, the problem wasn't that we pulled a high number. The problem was that at 11am, security let so many people cut the line. Those who had wrist bands and those who didn't. We even saw one of the security guard's give out a wrist band at 11:30am (which they have been telling everyone they wouldn't do after 10:30).
