We contacted Optimum RV in Ocala to see if they would be willing to consign if for us to help take the burden off of us selling it outright. They were all on board. We delivered it to their lot in Zephyrhills and after final inspection, our coach sold within two weeks. We are very impressed with Optimum RV and their customer service. We drove it to my home. parked in the road to move a vehicle in the driveway . We started it up BUT SHIFTING WOULDN'T MOVE .MARK KNEW ENOUGH TO GET UNDER STEARING WHEEL TO MOVE THE SHIFTING SILINOID .WE GOT IN THE DRIVE WAY AND THERE IT SAT FOR TWO WEEKS UNTIL THIER MECHANIC CAME .he said it was a blowed fuse . I've only 2 both with issues since April 19 2024. I've spent 2000$ for tows plus mechanics as they tell me it has wiring harness issues . After our bad experience with Optimum RV in Ocala we went to the Zephryhills location. We've previously purchased 2 RV's from this location. Our sales person were Renette and her daughter Alexis. They were extremely helpful. We found a 2019 Coachman Mirada. We were ready to buy and had a 2019 29 foot Sonic by Venture to use as a trade. We had many updates to this camper so we received a great deal on our trade. We were able to complete trading/purchase and picked it up for a planned camping trip in a week. This is the location to go to for the best place for great service and honest people who provide all the necessary information! We purchased our 2019 Coachman Mirada 32ss. It's a beautiful motor home. Immaculate condition inside and out. Full body paint. We are extremely happy with this motor home and could not have had better service with both sales and service. We were in the market for a 5th wheel trailer. We looked on line and found one that we felt fit our needs. We received a call from a sales associate, Jodi, and set an appointment to look at the trailers. After we looked at a few Jodi recommended that we look at one more. As soon as my wife waked in, she wanted it. The price was with in our price range. The manager Will came out and spoke to us, and we signed the purchase agreement. Eric the finance manager explained all the cost, and after market packages, and gave us a final cost that was better than what we expected. If there was a down side to the sale was that when we arrived home, the dump valves for all three tanks were in operable, and the valve for the bedroom slide leaked. We did buy the unit as is. It was delivered, as they claim "Camping Ready." A working bedroom slide and working tanks are necessary for camping. In their defense they did put a new awning fabric on, and fixed the ceiling fan, that was not discussed, without ours asking. Would we buy there again, yes. Would we recommend Optimum to a friend, again, yes. read more

The rudeness we have experienced from them over the phone (when they actually return or take the call) is beyond anything I have ever dealt with EVER! The poor workmanship in work that they did do has resulted in my black tank leaking and has been going on for 1 year. I will now have to take my unit in for them to repair AGAIN and because we live full-time in our unit, we will have a hotel expense again. I asked that they cover this seeing as it is their fault and I shouldn't be out the money, but they refused. How this location is still in business I will never know. If I could give ZERO stars I would. We spent 3 hrs at this location finding an rv to meet our needs. Colby was great, got our numbers where they needed to be. The district manager, even gave us $1000 off for my husbands military service. We found an rv for $28,999. Total was suppose to be $30,000 minus our $3000 deposit. This included the sway bar hitch and brake controller. After agreeing to the numbers, they proceeded to take our deposit, draw up the paperwork, with us picking up next Saturday. Once paperwork was done, they made it to where the total was $30000 after our deposit. What a scam. DON'T shop here for an rv. Very unprofessional. read more

I drove an hour to get thermostat and thermal cut- off fuse. Thermostat worked fine when I opened the small packet for the thermal cut off only the small brown wire not cut off fuse. So I called and they want me to drive an hour to show them the empty packet to get my $28 dollars back which we know is all overpriced but when you have no hot water you're willing to pay. So for $28 dollar dispute they get zero stars from me. No courtesy anymore. I would stay away from this place. read more

We purchased a 2014 Crossroads Rushmore for a descent price. The air conditioners never put out enough air to cool the unit. They sent out a representative and said it was operating in normal parameters. A week later, the AC's totally stopped working. Also, the Norcold refrigerators did not work on LP Gas and needed to be repaired. We were considering purchasing another unit for our daughter and put down a refundable deposit. After this experience and finding a more reputable dealer we decided to not purchase that unit. Now we are getting an attitude about recovering our deposit because they spent money on getting it prepped. That is money that would need to be spent no matter who they sold it to. So, I called these folks about a used RV, granted it was only 10,000.00 but we wanted to know about it. Spoke with Zac there, who told me everything was in good order, and that the RV didn't have any leaks, was road worthy, and in fact "The people just drove it down from Tennessee" that formerly owned it. After extensive conversation we drove the one and a half hours there to see it, as I was assured that "This was in good shape for an RV that age." (1999) They had replaced the bottom step with a piece of unfinished wood, which was nothing really, however when I stepped up into the coach, the smell of mold and urine were so distracting to me that it was difficult to focus. When I questioned Zac about this he responded by saying that it had been closed up in the Florida heat, and of course would smell musty. It was mold and urine I smelled. He did not take me through the RV, stood looking at the phone screen while I discovered that there was a soft spot in the kitchen floor, blistering on the wall in bathroom behind the commode and that the ceiling in the shower was saturated with water. I pointed this out to him and he said, "They all leak, probably needs caulking." As I walked the perimeter of the vehicle the wall behind the shower had bowed out, evidently from the leaking water from the roof and appeared to create some type of structural damage to the coach. I know you don't get much for 10,000.00, But can you at least be honest? I mean I said to this guy on the phone prior to coming there, we are in Sarasota, is this the type of thing that you would feel safe having your Grandparents go off in? He answered in the affirmative. So...even if I had 100,00.00 to spend on an RV, I wouldn't spend it here. read more

We bought a camper through Optimum RV in Ocala. When we bought the camper we also purchased an extended warranty. Last month we traded in our camper for a motor home. We are now trying to get someone at Optimum RV in Ocala to help us get back what is owed to us on the extended warranty. We spoke with Connor Cockfield and emailed him all the information he asked for. We emailed this information on April 4, 2020 and have yet to hear from him. We have left messages with the staff for him to call us because his voicemail is completely full so you can't leave a message. We're not sure what we should do next but if this is how Optimum RV's operates than maybe people should rethink their purchases and go somewhere else. I wouldn't deal with them again! read more

The purchase experience was great - efficient, ease in identifying funding, etc. Post-purchase has been a different scenario. Unreturned phone calls, lack of ability to provide any service advice over the phone (minor electrical issue that I had 20+ answers on from a Facebook group within 10 minutes vs. three people at Optimum RV telling me they had no idea and I would have to bring it in - that's convenient!). I understand the need to see some things in person for service but most of what we have been dealing with should be able to be vetted over the phone with experienced reps. I would rather pay a service company to help with the issues then to feel like a company I just forked $50k+ over to that doesn't seem to care or have enough experience to provide customer service. I would def go to a different dealer if I were to do it over again simply for sake of the customer service we are receiving (or the lack thereof) now. read more

They are so nice to you while you're buying your RV but once you put your money down your shit to them! We reviewed the RVs listed on their website and decided to drive an hour and a half to look at one that was interesting in Zephyrhills. When we got there, we learned that the RV that we had been interested in had since been moved to Ocala which was another hour and a half farther away - but it had not been moved on the website. So we asked Aaron, the salesman at Zephyrhills to check with the people at Ocala to make sure that the unit was available for sale. He went into the office and came back and told us "yes" it was and that we should see Bobby; he repeated that we should see Bobby. When we got to Ocala, Bobby wasn't even working today - plus we found out, after going out to the lot and coming back to the office that it had indeed been sold. The salesman, Keifer, who worked with us in Ocala was very new, but very helpful and encouraging and enthusiastic - we found no fault with him! His manager came over and offered us a chance to look at an RV that had just arrived that also met our specifications. He gave Kiefer two possible places it was parked, so we went all over the place but couldn't find it. Kiefer went in and found out, to our horror, but not surprise, that it had in fact not been there in the first place. We left. I would not recommend optimum RV at any of their locations. Their website is inaccurate, their inventory is badly marked if at all and the lot is, in dry weather a rutted mess. In wet weather I cannot imagine looking at RVs in that mud lot. read more

Purchased a used RV with Jason Crandell as our sales person. Due to my illness we were only able to view the RV via pictures and face time. Jason was told that we wanted to have the RV thoroughly inspected and were willing to have everything serviced at Optimum RV at our expense. Jason made us believe this was the service we would receive. The RV was delivered (at our expense) only to find multiple issues including an electrical cord that had been "repaired" with tape inside the outer protector that continued to short out, a microwave that needed to be replaced, a toilet that leaked, outlets that didn't work, and so on. At this point we had to call a mobile RV repair service which was more expensive than paying for repairs done in their own shop. Jason agreed to pay for replacing the electrical cord. We have now waited more than 60 days for reimbursement for the cord. I emailed Jason more than a month ago telling him I was waiting to review Optimum based on his follow up and the only response I have received from Jason is "I have sent it in to headquarters waiting for a check to be sent down." I would not recommend using Optimum at any cost! read more

My boyfriend and I recently when in to purchase an RV from here that we liked. While we were there they agreed upon a price and then after we signed on it went back and said they couldn't do it for that price anymore and then once we left they stopped all contact with us, they said MANY times they would call us right back and never did. When we were working on the financing the financing person at the bank was emailing us asking for information that we sent to optimum 2 days earlier. They also agreed to send us our drivers licenses back overnight and it didn't arrive until 3 days later. When we got the paperwork and everything done and they were supposed to deliver and now here we are an hour after the appointment time and we had to call and ask where it is and they are now saying that they can't deliver it because they do not have the insurance even though it was sent to them 2 days earlier. By far the WORST experience I have ever had buying anything. read more
