Phone, Internet, & digital Cable TV about $138 per month My step dad died suddenly, so i called Suddenlink to see if they could reduce my mom's bill even just a little for a couple of months while she sorts things out. I had travelled 1,200 miles to help her settle affairs. Suddenlink on the phone was courteous but simply kept reminding me that she is ALREADY saving $ 32.40 a month. I visited the local office to make sure the bill was current & although the lady was really really nice, she also tried several ways to reduce the bill, but could not. My elderly housebound mother likes to watch Discovery Channel. Shame on her for being a fan of enjoyable clean television, cause that is gonna cost you! If she cuts out digital channels, reducing her channels to appx 2-26, she can save $30 on her bill. Let's see her only entertainment....vs $30... BTW the next day Suddenlink charged her an $11.00 "directory change", because her deceased husbands name was on the account. No notice, just hand it over. They have the same last name & the first 3 letters of their first name is the same. Both names are on every check ever mailed into Suddenlink. I turned my equipment in on Feb. 13, 2026. They are still billing me for service up to May 2. 2026. I was not told at the office that I needed to call an (888) number to cancel the service. I can't reach anyone to resolve this issue. When I call I am told there is nothing they can do to help me. read more

A representative from Optimum rang the doorbells in our neighborhood at around 7 p.m trying to sell their service. How insensitive. This was in a senior living community, and solicitation is not permitted without approval from the administration---which they would not get. We won't ever be interested in this company. read more

I went in to switch from NEXT WiFi and Landline since TV was no longer available. I was greeted by two Optimum folks that really knew what to offer, as well as knowing exactly what they were doing. I sincerely appreciate Brody and BJ!!! They were on it!!! In record time, seriously less than 30 minutes total, I got slated for leaving my old NEXT service and moved over to Optimum's "Triple-switch bundle and a landline". I got 1GB fiberoptic WiFi switch, a Landline switch, added back a tv service with DVR capability (yay!), and switched over to two mobile cell phone accounts ( one from ATT and one from TMobile) that are now just $15 a line UNLIMITED DATA / CELL TIME. It is now so convenient to get all of that from one company !!!! And my install servicing date was just one week from me coming in to decide the services. I'm truly satisfied and would encourage anyone else to make the switch. I saved so much on the whole package and switching two cell phone lines from $95/$75 a month to $30 a month total for both... you can't beat that!!! And they guaranteed my complete bundle to be without increases for two full years!!! The cell phones I needed to switch were not available at the exact time I scheduled the other services. I returned with one of the two cells and we began the switch over process. Brody and BJ and Kaitlyn worked hard to switch it from AT&T. Even though we didn't owe anything for the phone we brought to switch, AT&T insisted we still owed $12.95 as a final charge for the phone??!! AT&T still has not released the number to Optimum and it's been more than 24hrs without phone service. We were warned it might take that long....and they were correct. The transfer delay is ALL on AT&T, not on Optimum. Hope the second cell transfer isn't as difficult with T-Mobile!! read more

Suddenlink which is now Optimum is the worst. Ever since they changed to Optimum the service has gotten worse if that was even possible. For the last two days There has been an outage. I have gotten 3 phone calls which are computer generated stating that the problem is fixed. All 3 calls are wrong. When I speak to a representative they tell me to reboot. I have done so 4 times. The definition of insanity is to do something over and over again and expect different results. The most insane thing is to continue to utilize this company for internet, tv and telephone. Then the bill increases by a considerable amount. No service and high rates and a call center in a foreign country where the agents are difficult to understand. One of the only providers available in my area and if phone companies actually provided unlimited I'd use tether before this. They have no care for the speeds or quality of internet you get and if they can increase the price they will. And try not to get the Altice modems, they're cheap junk read more

If a zero or even a negative rating could be used it would. The customer service was atrocious. We had a business account for 15 years. We sold the business and closed escrow in mid June took all the equipment to the center in mountain Home Arkansas told them we would pay final bill by end of July. Then July 18 we get a letter from a collection agency for the final bill 313.00. Called them was on phone 30 minutes talking to three different people the last a supervisor in commercial her name was Andrea. She was useless. Just said that the policy changed and now 15 days after a bill is late it automatically goes to collections. No notice of change no notice on final bill and no communication of this policy change be the office in mountain Home when we were there in person and explained we would pay by end of July. This company has the poorest customer service in the world. Price hikes and policy changes happen without notice. BEWARE OF BAIT AND SWITCH!!! read more

My phone line has been down for 6 weeks. They have sent three technicians over. They have lied to me about appointment times. They have sent people over when I'm not home for appointments I never made. They can't seem to figure out how to fix or set up a phone line they never call you back I've been told at least four times I will receive a call back that they never did. its funny how a telecommunication company can't communicate read more

It is barely 1 micrometer better than Century. The only thing better than Century is at least the connection light doesn't flicker more than the activity light!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have very high speed due to the line of work I do from home and lately all the blasted system does is give is a "server not found" message. Has to go into local office in Mountain Home, AR several times recently. I was met by the angriest most disagreeable woman there. When I asked her to tune it down there was no reason for such an angry time she let me know she had worked there 8 years and would not change her tone for me. What she was telling me was different from what the phone representatives were telling me. I was threatened with a charge for service despite the fact the phone representatives said there would not be a charge and I pay a monthly fee for service in my equipment, above the normal fees. She told me incorrect information about my changes that cost me to go without service in my telephone, TV and internet for a prolonged period. Plus, since I had no phone service it required me to return to the store to get service that has been cancelled by the local office after it had been set up the day before. This is not acceptable behavior by anyone in customer service. I would completely recommend finding service elsewhere. Besides these problems the service has been horrific. I thought disruptions on satellite was bad, only to find more with cable because of poor outside equipment. At least when satellite has a problem it's weather related. Now, I must say the gentleman that have come to my home to service equipment have always been "GREAT". If only the rest of the company was as good. read more
