Optimum.. What a joke. I have had to call about their product at least once a month. The box you rent "dies" and they want to charge you$100 to replace bu a technician or you have to drive 2 hours to a "brick and mortar". TV is as reliable as most BUT internet and phone service below terrible. Internet and phone interrupted many times a day for last 15 years! TV working but no data streams. Rates have skyrocketed but no calls have resulted in discounts for a year. Only cable company in town! Customer service and tech's are great, equipment sucks. read more

If I could give it negative stars, I would worst customer service ever. When I went into the shop, there was only one guy in there. And he told me he couldn't do anything to help me. Common thieves. The day they raised my bill from 65-80 I cancelled. They still refused and attempted to deduct 80 from my credit card. I blocked the card so the way added 10 and made it 90! Our experience with Optimum has not at all been sarisfactory. Long lasting outages, poor customer service. High monthly payments which would be more acceptable if the service was provided reliably. No explanation or attempt to fix or find reason for outages when contacted. Cancellingvthe service is a big runaround, being transferred multiple timescto multiple people who all try to sell more service rather than complying with the customer's request to cancel. If a negative scale for rating was a choice it would be used. I would not at all recomend Optimum for internet service. read more

Is there a negative star? Spent over 2 hours trying to cancel service because they kept passing me around from rep to rep. Finally landed on a manager who insisted that I would get 2 months free and the line was recorded if I had any problems. I turned in the equipment the next day (have the receipt), I've been battling for 2 months for them to stop charging me, they say my service is still active (with what equipment???). You have the worst customer service. You have been billing me for months for over what I should have owed. Each time I called you tell me that if I pay the amount, you are requesting I will be all caught up. Then when the next month comes and it's the same thing all over. This is outrages. Avoid Optimum at all costs. This has been the single worst customer service experience I've ever had--and I've already had to spend money fixing damage to my home caused by their installer. I canceled the service less than 48 hours after installation because the upload speed didn't meet my needs (which I made clear from the beginning). The installer admitted the speeds weren't fast enough, but told me I had to cancel by phone. I followed the instructions, canceled immediately, and returned the equipment within three days. Not only did Optimum refuse to waive the charges for a full month of unusable service--but the installer left thick black wiring sloppily strung across the front of my brand new white house, damaging the exterior in the process. Now I'm stuck paying for repairs and for service I didn't use. To make matters worse, when I escalated, I was told by someone named Tefare--who claimed he's the highest-ranking person at the company--that there was absolutely nothing they could do. No apology. No accountability. Just a brick wall and a bill. Optimum doesn't care about its customers. They've created a system that traps you, charges you, and walks away. I will be telling everyone I know to steer clear of this company. It's a shame because the people are the store here in Bullhead are actually quite nice and they have to deal with their inferior corporate policies daily. read more

STAY AWAY from Optimum WIFI. I have nothing against this store but the company and service is horrible. The WIFI is intermittent at best. The customer service department in India billed me the entire month as I cancelled on the first day of my billing cycle, but will give me three free months if I stay with their service. Save your money, time, energy. There are other companies out there with better service. read more

If I could put minus 100 stars, I would. Constant internet interruptions, no information, extremely poor customer service, overcharging to the point we had to get Starlink. Thank you Elon Musk, because when you have a business, don't count on Optimum. Would give a negative star if possible. Last 4 days every morning and every evening about 8 pm service goes on and off every 2 minutes. You can't stream ANYTHING. Vizio stations won't come in. When you call tech they have you try a bunch of things keeping you in the phone for 45 minutes. Come to find out it's their issue there supposedly working on. Don't bother getting their service. I disconnected on Oct 15,2024 and was told by representative that I would receive a refund check in 2 weeks. It was never mailed. I called again and was promised 15 business days returned to my credit card. If they don't send the refund back, I guess a small claim action may be warranted. I was in the optimum store and had communications with an associate and the interaction with him was great, answered all my questions so that part was 5 stars. Today i tried calling back get to the store and associate was informed that I could not be connected oi would have to do business with the 800 call or drive back to the store. We had Optimum internet for over a year. We never had any issues with the wifi - it worked well. However, their customer service is the worst!!! I went into their store front in Bullhead City on 5/17/24, returned our equipment, and canceled our service. Our internet was off the next day! I paid the last bill and now I am still receiving statements!! I have called their ridiculously inept customer service people 12 times and still now I'm told that I did not return our equipment, even though I have the receipts that I did. I told them on the phone that my house was never set up with internet. The tech came out and said there is no wire, and that it would have to be run. Yeah, no kidding. They told me they would have it run that day. Perfect. I called the next day and they confirmed that the wire had been run, and they would send the tech today, 5 days later, to set up the modem.
