It was a transformative, multi-sensory, and emotional experience that transitioned me, the participant, through a multitude of experiences and activities, from meditation, to work sheeting, to soul cleansing dance, and finally to the creation of a vision board as a physical artifact to represent the experience and the future manifestation of my desires. Over the past 11 years, as I have dove further into researching the power of the subconscious mind (psychology) and how our brain influences motivation and emotional control (neuroscience), I have quickly realized that more people in the world would benefit from this sort of experience where personal strategic planning meets psychological transformation. Many people want to better connect with their desires, achieve more happiness and success, and gain more self awareness, and I believe this type of workshop is a great way to kick off a change in your life. In particular, women tend to display particular self limiting beliefs (stemming from our patriarchal culture) that can result in us holding back from truly chasing our desires and dreams. What's really cool about Yarah's methods are the strong connection to human cultural traditions that have been in place for thousands of years: dance, drums, and meditation. She takes these elements and adds in process driven writing and visioning to add the right amount of structure and organization to complete the workshop experience. As someone who also works with people to build an immersive visioning workshop, I know the importance of compelling imagery and a moving experience to stir deep motivation and clarity not only within the rational brain, but also within the emotional brain. Every time I see this beautiful work of art, created by yours truly, it reignites a sense of clarity and intention around what I want to achieve this year.
