Everything went well from making the appointment to the office experience to the care I received.

I didn't get a thorough yearly skin exam as I had expected. The exam lasted 5 mins and the doctor didn't look at my whole body.

I am a retired RN and thought I was familiar with the ins and outs of medical care for Seniors…read more After decades of being a patient of this practice and years of being seen by a Nurse Practitioner I really liked, I was "assigned" to Dr. Ko when the NP retired. My 1st annual visit with Dr. Ko was rushed from start to finish. I'm not sure it even lasted 5 minutes. Each concern I brought up was essentially dismissed as "sun damage". Since I have been treated for skin cancer in the past, this was concerning to me. After writing to the practice manager to complain and request to be switched to another practitioner, she phoned me and I was told "internal provider transfers were not allowed" at this time. I am stunned by this apparent policy! When I explained that I now need to be seen for a spot on my shoulder Dr. Ko "dismissed" but is worsening and I feel needs to be reevaluated, the practice manager informed me I had to be seen by Dr. Ko or not be seen at all. I told her that didn't work for me so now I'm searching for another dermatologist. My advice: stay away from this practice.

With no other options in the city taking Medicare, my doctor referred me to this office again a year later for a concerning patch of discoloration that has appeared on my face and won't go away. I asked them to assign me to one of the other dermatologists. They said they'd check and call back. They never did, so months later, I called them again. They then REFUSED to let me see another doctor, saying I have to see the same doctor I saw previously, whether I was happy with her or not. They insist that's their policy and they won't make exceptions for patients who are uncomfortable with a doctor. Patients should have the right to see doctors WE are comfortable with, not those who make us feel worthless and give us unsatisfactory care. There is NO reason they couldn't allow me to see one of the other doctors except 'it's our policy'. If you have the option to go somewhere else, do. This office is unprofessional and cares nothing about patients.

Dr. Harre is amazing! She is so kind and handled my issue with great concern and compassion. I…read morereally appreciated how much she cared about my problem and genuinely listened to my concerns. My case was very time sensitive which I explained to Dr. Harre and she was very mindful of that and put a lot of effort to get me what I needed as quickly as possible which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend Dr. Harre because she is kind, caring, and extremely professional.

When I had a concern recently I made an appointment and was seen without delay, which is a plus. Even if a problem is not life threatening it eases anxiety to be seen quickly and I was. This time the office staff was polite enough, but not very welcoming. Dr Harre was not as attentive as she had been in the past. I felt like my concern was not taken seriously. She prescribed an ointment which I had filled but which had no effect. I was not told to return if there was no improvement, which there wasn't. I went to another doctor who did a biopsy. In the end, my concern turned out not to be a serious matter but treating it with an ointment was pointless. My two experiences, many years apart, were like night and day with this office. If I ever need another dermatology visit I will have to look elsewhere.

I made an appointment with Jerry the owner to discuss this and she admitted her practitioner Bonnie shouldn't have put it in the top of my forehead and this is why my eyebrows were sagging. She did offer to inject more to try to fix it but after this nightmare, I didn't want anything more done and just wanted a refund. She refused and said it was company policy. She is the owner and refused to give me my money back. She said I had to pay for the product. M face should be back to normal in a couple months I hope. I will have to live like this until then. Accidents happen but a good business will backup their work. I don't recommend this business. Because my face is so noticeable, I have to let people know what has happened which is even more embarrassing. When they ask where I went, I will make sure to tell them and word travels fast. I want to spare anyone else the pain of what I'm going through.

I definitely recommend Maine Laser!! Amy always responds…read morevia website. She brings her sweet baby Lilibet. I would say she's an awesome little mascot:) I finally met Christine. She's wonderful & has a great sense of humor! The challenges to find a medical spa are many. Moving out of state or area, to an injector unexpectedly moving on, lastly, the sub-par facilities & sneaky injectors! You believe all is on the up until you do not see the expected results! Nightmares at best! Any clients that have dealt with similar issues know exactly what my meaning is! Maine Laser is not 1 of the above-mentioned! Instead, it's a dream! I'll continue leaving 5 reviews. Great staff, friendly, welcoming & trustworthy!!

I do not wear women's clothing or makeup (I'm not a Crossdresser). In other words, at this point, no one would know unless I came out to them. That said, I'm still puzzled as to why I was treated as I was when I visited Maine Laser Skin Care for a consult. The front desk person was very nice. I don't feel like I was treated any differently than any other customer. That ended when I was brought back for my consult with a older woman that I assume was one of their laser operators. Let me add a couple things before I comment any further. This was not my first consult for laser hair removal. I have been shopping around for the best price and most convenient appointment times. It's expensive but that is expected. I just don't want to overpay. Maine Laser Skin Care is close by my home so I thought I should check them out. Also, I'm not looking to remove hair from any private areas. I'm only interested in forearms and legs. I was brought back to a treatment room where I explained my situation (transgender) and wishes. The laser operator became negative right away. First (without seeing the hair on my arms) she told me that it wouldn't work because my hair is too light. I explained that the hair on my head, which is blonde, is not my hair color. I'm a white skinned brunette. Other consults have told me that the contrast between my skin and hair is great. This operator then went on to tell me how she tried hair removal on another blonde and it didn't work. I reiterated that I wasn't a blonde. Then she told me that it takes a really long time. I explained that I was aware that could take a couple years to be completed. Her next salvo was to tell me just how expensive it would be. (I'm aware that it's costly. I can afford it. I just don't want to overspend). She then tells me that their appointments are only 30 minutes and they can't do a lot in that time. She added that they charge $300 ($10/minute). By this time I realized that every word she'd said was negative and that she was trying to discourage me from choosing her facility. I thanked her and told her that I had received better offers and that this wasn't going to work for me. (There was no point in pushing myself on her). This happened four days ago. I was just going to keep quiet and let it go but I've thought better of it. I don't want others like me to have to waste their time checking this place out. If I'd seen a review like this, I would not have bothered going. Transitioning is hard because my brain has always been female and HRT has locked that in. My head has transitioned but it will be a couple years until my body catches up. Until then, I live as a male on the outside. It's really easy to get emotionally hurt. That's not usually anyone's fault. It's just the way it has to be for awhile until I'm at the point where others can see me as I really am. This visit kinda stung. It's too bad all around because, yes, it's expensive. I would have put a substantial amount of cash into this business. I guess they don't need it.
