I am a retired RN and thought I was familiar with the ins and outs of medical care for Seniors…read more After decades of being a patient of this practice and years of being seen by a Nurse Practitioner I really liked, I was "assigned" to Dr. Ko when the NP retired. My 1st annual visit with Dr. Ko was rushed from start to finish. I'm not sure it even lasted 5 minutes. Each concern I brought up was essentially dismissed as "sun damage". Since I have been treated for skin cancer in the past, this was concerning to me. After writing to the practice manager to complain and request to be switched to another practitioner, she phoned me and I was told "internal provider transfers were not allowed" at this time. I am stunned by this apparent policy! When I explained that I now need to be seen for a spot on my shoulder Dr. Ko "dismissed" but is worsening and I feel needs to be reevaluated, the practice manager informed me I had to be seen by Dr. Ko or not be seen at all. I told her that didn't work for me so now I'm searching for another dermatologist. My advice: stay away from this practice.

I was assigned to one who barely spent a couple of…read moreminutes with me, was dismissive and disinterested and then refused to give me any care at all for my severe acne because I had to reschedule a single appointment due to illness. With no other options in the city taking Medicare, my doctor referred me to this office again a year later for a concerning patch of discoloration that has appeared on my face and won't go away. I asked them to assign me to one of the other dermatologists. They said they'd check and call back. They never did, so months later, I called them again. They then REFUSED to let me see another doctor, saying I have to see the same doctor I saw previously, whether I was happy with her or not. They insist that's their policy and they won't make exceptions for patients who are uncomfortable with a doctor. Patients should have the right to see doctors WE are comfortable with, not those who make us feel worthless and give us unsatisfactory care. There is NO reason they couldn't allow me to see one of the other doctors except 'it's our policy'. If you have the option to go somewhere else, do. This office is unprofessional and cares nothing about patients.

Appointments always start on time, the staff at the front desk are super friendly and pleasant, and Dr Cuozo takes his time to explain everything and make sure all my questions are answered. Nobody seems rushed, so it feels like they genuinely care about their patients (which is a big deal in my opinion). I recommend them!

Visit 2: Two nurses who read the directions and asked me (the patient) for help with the injection itself. After they discussed how "horrible" my cysts looked at the last visit. I have no communication with Cosentyx despite being told they'd send my starting paperwork. I call Cosentyx and they say they have ZERO communication from this provided. I'm now a month overdue for my next injection and I've been calling the Biologics team for 3 weeks with no response. A receptionist sends me to an empty line where I leave a respectful but urgent voicemail and no one has returned my calls.

I got a Botox application for the first time to lift my eyebrows. After about a week and a half I…read morenoticed the opposite effect. My brows were sagging and my lids are drooping over my eyes. I made an appointment with Jerry the owner to discuss this and she admitted her practitioner Bonnie shouldn't have put it in the top of my forehead and this is why my eyebrows were sagging. She did offer to inject more to try to fix it but after this nightmare, I didn't want anything more done and just wanted a refund. She refused and said it was company policy. She is the owner and refused to give me my money back. She said I had to pay for the product. M face should be back to normal in a couple months I hope. I will have to live like this until then. Accidents happen but a good business will backup their work. I don't recommend this business. Because my face is so noticeable, I have to let people know what has happened which is even more embarrassing. When they ask where I went, I will make sure to tell them and word travels fast. I want to spare anyone else the pain of what I'm going through.

Maureen is kind, patient and informed. We settled on RF microneedling and set up an appointment. Pre-procedure instructions and prep were perfect. Careful consideration to my skin type. Full disclosures so I was making a fully informed decision. The procedure itself was totally manageable. She has lots of tips and tricks to get you through any discomfort but I barely had any (see note on prep). It doesn't hurt that she has excellent music taste. And then afterwards the post procedure instructions were clear and generous. I went home with a week's worth of skin care supplies. TBD how my skin does with this treatment but what matters most to this review is that this was a seamless, supported experience for this skin care newbie and I will be back. And in the meantime I will be referring friends lol
