My service here has always been very good. Every time I go in there, someone is always there to offer help. The last time I was in, my daughter picked up her 1st pair of blue light glasses which she loves. So far so good. I also had a pair of broken glasses which I didn't think could be fixed because one of the arm pieces had broken right off but Heaven, who came up to me asked if I needed help. She was so nice she offered to super glue and sauder them back together rather than spend $300-$400 for a new pair. So after waiting about 10 mins, she came back with them all fixed with new nose pads so they are as good as new. I asked how much it was and was willing to pay for the repairs she had done but she said there was no charge so that was another bonus. I am very picky when it comes to where I shop for my eyewear. When I entered the building, the friendliness of the staff was the first thing I noticed. Aleida greeted me with a welcoming smile and introduced me to the receptionist to make an appointment with the eye doctor. Aleida made an assessment of my skin tone and face shape and showed me eyeglasses that should be suitable. This was the first time that any optician took the time to tell me what will suite me the best and why she thinks that it is a good choice, but also gave me the freedom to look around and at the end I decided on a pair that Aleida picked out for me. The eye doctor, was very friendly and was not rushing to do the exam. I am very impressed with his professionalism. The receptionist ordered contact lenses that I could try first before I made the final purchase. After a few months, one of the stones embedded in the glass frame was missing. Aleida and her management replaced the frame without hesitation and I was surprised when I was told that my new set of eyewear was ready! Me and my mother bought our glasses here about 2 years ago - since then my glasses have been fine, except whatever coating they put on the nose/bridge part of the frame is coming off and looks bad, luckily no one else sees that part and it doesn't affect the lenses. My mother's glasses, however, have been an absolute pain to deal with. Within months of receiving the glasses the coating around the bottom of the lenses began to peel/split/crack off, she took them back to get fixed but within months they had begun to do the same thing. She has taken them back to get the same problem fixed 3 times now and the lenses are still peeling around the edges. We are taking them elsewhere to get them fixed this time. Clearly the anti-scratch/glare/whatever coating they use here is not very good quality and we will not be buying glasses from this place again. read more

I had never had glasses before and was having trouble seeing the computer at work. Went to optiks which was a waste of $$$ The exam was fine, what you would normally expect, but the person administering the exam was really trying to push progressive lenses on me-which I didn't need. After the exam I looked around the store but found the prices very high, so I decided to go elsewhere. When I did purchase my glasses and finally get them, the prescription was wrong. I couldn't see. thinking it was the place that made the glasses I returned them and they adjusted them for free...still no good. I decided to go to a reputable optometrist. The outcome was completely different...changed the lenses and I can see again! So I will never go back to Optiks and I don't recommend it to anyone. read more

I have had glasses for a very long time and have gotten them from Lens Crafters for years. When I saw a Groupon for $200 off my next glasses purchase I thought I'd give it a try. Another bonus is Optiks has a bogo event year round. As someone with a very strong prescription that cause my classes bill to run at about $80 each I thought why not. There glasses selection is smaller then Lens Crafters however they do have the designer brands like Burberry and Dior. I choose the 2nd highest lens package with anti-scratch, anti-glare, anti-smudge, and the thinner lens. They took about a week to order the frames and lens. Everything was great until 3 months later when I notice a large scratch on one of my lenses. As you would guess I was not impressed as I paid more for the anti-scratch. When I went to their store to get them fixed, I was told that their warranty is a one time use only. That shocked me. If I went to Lens Crafters three months after I purchased my glasses and said there was a scratch, they would, as they have in the past, fixed them no questions asked. Their manager informed me that I could use my warranty or wait for more damage and just pay for the scratch on my lenses. In my opinion, if I pay extra for the more advanced lenses I want more of a warranty if there is a defect. For this reason, I will not be buying my glasses from Optiks again. read more

We finally received them and couldn't see out them The blended bifocal glasses only had a tiny slit that was actually in focus they hide a 200 dollar insurance charge in the price. Tried to use the groupon here for $29 for $200 towards prescription glasses with a free second pair. The customer service here was cold and unfriendly. The customer service rep was definetely unhelpful and told us that we were only allowed to choose from a "select" group of frames for the free second pair. Spent half an hour there with no one to help us and walked out of there with $30 down the drain as we did not use the coupon and will never return. read more
