OPM is such a fun show that will be missed! The Spiegelworld show is closing after this December and my friend and I had to go see it before it closed! The theater is smaller, but it's so much fun. It's a sexy, raunchy variety act show with a ton of laughs and space themed humor. I have seen many iterations over the years but I truly feel the show I saw just a few nights ago was the best one yet. The environment for the show is cool and futuristic. The drinks are creative and aesthetically pleasing, and the ushering team and cocktail staff is top-notch. Bravo, OPM! Las Vegas will miss you. Exhilarating ride to another world! 5-6 acts with crowd work in between to never have a dull moment, OPM showcased acts great for men & women and everyone in between. Just buy a ticket and take flight! Like other reviews, there really ain't a bad seat in the house. I sat in the Outer Rim, Row H seats 31/32. Though it was a little tucked in the end of the aisle it was great angle (about 5 o'clock position from the stage). The room is glowy and neon and you'll feel like you really entered the extraterrestrial limits. Get ready for dance, acrobatics and maybe even some titties. read more

OPM is a variety show at Cosmopolitan with a lineup of solid acts and a playful, hilarious star of a host in Andromeda who does a spectacular job. The show presents the perfect mix of sexy, funny, and breathtaking. I first watched this show back in 2018 when it was called Opium, and this new version re-branded as OPM, which I just saw yesterday, remains true to the spirit of the original. The venue is on the smaller side, and the intimacy works well with the interactive nature of the show. If you sit in front row, be prepared for some playfull banter with Andromeda and for the performers to possibly engage with you during some of their acts. There really are no "bad" seats, but if you want the absolute best view, you should go with seats A21-A47 or B20-B49. But if you're a party of 2 people and want a little more sitting room and a table to place your drinks, you should go with one of the table seats (I would recommend tables A60/A61 or A3/A4). read more

Date of visit: April 30, 2023 Having previously attended Spiegelworld's Absinthe show over at Caesar's, I was very much looking forward to Opium (also known as OPM, not sure why both names were used) as a more down-to-earth alternative to the random pomp and circumstance of the Cirque shows. It was a bit confusing at the main entrance as it seems to be serving a couple different purposes. We did eventually find out that we were in the right place, had our tickets scanned, and then headed into one of the two bar areas, complete with fun retro arcade games. Pro tip: Get there early. If they have empty seats, they will offer to upgrade you for free. We want from being in the last row to being in the second row at no extra charge. It's a bit of a theatre in the round which allows for close interaction with the performers, so take that into consideration. Do not buy any food or drink! Everything is crazy expensive--even for Vegas--and you will instantly regret it. I laughed when the folks sitting next to us received their $21 pizza that was the same size as the personal pizzas I used to get from Pizza Hut at the Target food court. The show itself was good, though does not match Absinthe. It bills itself as a 75 minute wild ride, but considering that it started almost 20 minutes late, it's really more of a 55 minute wildish ride... The acts are all impressive and they play some great music to accompany the performers, though I think the pacing is a bit off; the bubble vignette comes near the very end of the show and I think would be much better placed in the beginning or middle, but that's just me. read more

First- I'll start off by helping you find where the theater is at because it was so confusing to find. It's by Wicked Spoon. Literally right next door to Wicked Spoon. Which by the way- If you have time to eat at Wicked Spoon- eat at Wicked Spoon! Took a date night and saw Opium. It was a pretty cool show, but like how others mentioned. It at most should cost $50 a ticket. While the acts are pretty much something we've seen before, and the only difference was the "theme" the outer space galactic theme it was still a fun night. I don't know why my husband and I got the OP-YUM Soft Serve- spur of the moment I guess. I'd skip that next time. My husband got the drink "Porn Star" which had el tequileno blanco, falernum, passion fruit, vanilla and lime. He liked it. We also got the "Ultimate Pepperoni Square Pizza" that was surprisingly really delicious! If you go to watch the show- know that the pizza takes about 30 minutes, so order it once you get in the theater so you can enjoy it during the show. The dough was really thick and that's why the pizza takes so long. It's delicious! I'd actually get it again! read more

We booked space roller dinner and show experience. We had our own space pod seats and bottle of nice champagne. Dinner was included (no alcohol) before show. The check-in was so disorganized. A staff was supposed to take us to our private pod and bring our dessert. That person who said he would be back in 5 just disappeared! So we had to find another staff to take us. And we NEVER got that dessert! The space pod was very private and cozy. I liked that beautiful champagne. Since I am very short and the couch was low so I had such hard times seeing the show. I kept seeing the back of ppl's heads! The show was fun and energetic but I don't find it to be very interesting and mind blowing. It would've been not bad if the package hadn't cost $1200. For that price I really expected more from this dinner and show experience! The best part was the Rolls-Royce strip view ride after the show, our driver was so accommodating and helpful. It was an underwhelming experience for that price tag and we probably won't be back. Ps. Why the restrooms were so dirty?! read more

Hilarious show for adults! I actually enjoyed this more than Absinthe because the host Andromeda weaved a humorous journey for the audience to be amazed by the different acts. The tables around the half circle stage offered no bad views, but was quite convenient for ordering drinks. I think the crowd favorite was Mr. Bubbles but I also really liked the lady that spun from her head. The acts are much more polished in this show. For example we actually saw the Limbo Queen elsewhere and thought she was more spectacular in OPM as it was a longer and funnier performance. read more

Wow, what a show! Opium was never on my radar, but since we stayed at the Cosmopolitan on our last trip, we decided to check out the in house show. It was a very good decision on our parts. We started off with dinner and drinks at Superfrico that is connected to the show. It definitely set the tone for the show. Around the time the show was about to start, they opened up the adjoining room to Superfrico and it was the gathering spot till they opened up the the actual theater. We were able to order drinks at the bar where we were entertained by alien muppets. Once the theater opened we were escorted to our seats. When booking the tickets, I did not realize how small and intimate the theater was. There really is no bad seats in the house. If you're front row, be ready to engage with the performers. Without giving everything away, the show was jammed packed with a variety of different acts. They were all very unique and highly entertaining. The show is also very funny with lots of sexual innuendo and some nudity. I think I may have fallen in love with the balloon girl! If you get offended easily, don't come here! With all the shows that Vegas has to offer, I would come back to this one because I was that entertained! read more

Opium: another awesome show by Speiglword. Opium is located on the 2nd floor of the Boulevard Tower at The Cosmopolitan. Once you enter the venue, you are immediately transported to a neon spaceship with a cool vibe. The cast is absolutely hilarious and entertaining. The various acts are jaw dropping with excitement. The only downfall of this super fun show was the bubble act. While entertaining, it really brought down the whole vibe of the experience. Other than that though, if you have seen Absinthe or Atomic Saloon Show, you will enjoy Opium as well. read more

What a cool show! It is a bit hard to impress me in Vegas, but this show had many unique acts and kept me guessing. We had great seats, 6th row, directly front and center, which was perfect for the heart of the action. I had a BOGO with my Cosmopolitan Sterling membership. Drinks were very good as well, and they have a walk-up bar that you can easily grab another round mid-show. My favorites of the night were the Bubble Man and the Asian female dancers and the female MC of the evening was excellent as well. Thanks for the memories! read more

Second time to see Opium and we did the Space Roller package. We were picked up at our hotel in a Opium branded Rolls Royce by Kevin, who was super friendly, knowledgeable about Vegas and did a great job. Took us on a short tour of the strip before heading over to the Cosmo where we were met by Tianna (hope I got her name right) who escorted us to Superfrico for dinner (see my review of Superfrico for all the details but it was great). After dinner we were escorted by Tianna again to our "space pod" at Opium for the show, where there was a bottle of champagne waiting for for us, which again was fantastic. The sword swallower was again a standout as were the jugglers and two male acrobats. After the show we got pictures with the Captain. Tianna then escorted us back to the Rolls where Kevin took us on another trip down the Strip but in the opposite direction. Overall could not be happier with the evening. Spiegleworld puts on a great show, has fantastic staff and knows how to make an evening memorable. read more

I think that this is probably my favorite show I've seen in Vegas. The music is great (some EDM for millennials) and the fact that it's a variety show will always keep you entertained. There are some acrobatic acts, but also some entertaining random acts like bubble blowing (which was my personal favorite). Be warned though that there are some racy parts in the show, so I probably wouldn't bring your grandmother to this. The setting is very intimate which is better that sitting tons of feet away in a big theater. read more

This show is bananas literally. This is my first Spiegelworld experience and I'm pleasantly surprised. This show is raunchy within reason and funny af. The talents are pretty cool. Without disclosing any deets clutch your pearls and hold on to your significant other. The seats were super tight for this super sized snack... I mean a little small for me but I made it work I guess. I ordered a personal sized deep dish OG pizza with tomato, house mozzarella, cheddar, sicilian oregano, parmigiano reggiano. My delicious pizza arrived pipping hot in a fancy a$$ box but the drinks took quite some time. I cant remember which tequila cocktail I purchased but it had cucumber and was pretty tipsy... I mean refreshing. If your down for an awkward good time give Opium a whirl! read more

I got tickets about a month in advance. Any seat in the house is a good seat. My husband and I had booked two seats a little bit towards the back. Once we arrived for our show on a Friday night, we got a free upgrade to the front row due to the smaller size show. Score for us, sucks for the people who paid more for their tickets. The show was funny and raunchy which is why I loved it. It was quite entertaining and had good laughs throughout. It did run a little bit on the shortside. I think it was slightly over an hour. They have drinks and pizza available for purchase. We did not have either so I can't comment if it is good or not. read more

Whoever doesn't like this show has no sense of humor. I found it absolutely hilarious, the acts were very well put together and following each other up. Good story line and a lot of raunchy jokes. Don't take things too seriously. We like this better than absinthe actually. A show similar in line of this, is Blanc de Blanc at Sahara. But I think this one is funnier and more entertaining. Never a dull moment during this show!! I was amazed, impressed and had a good laugh. The audience interaction was awesome, everyone was there for a good time. They might pick you out if you're in one of the front lines. If you're sensitive, don't take the offensive jokes too serious - I found it hilarious and would see this show a second time even!! 1/16/20 Friends in town for their birthday and after dinner we came here for the show. Had no idea what to expect but I had seen another Spiegelworld show and loved it. I did laugh and enjoy myself. All the cast members did a good job. Lots of adult humor and cursing which is right up my alley. Was it my absolute favorite? No, but, it was worth seeing so check it out. There were great acts i think the space theme just isnt my thing. Not to discount how much I did laugh - it was very entertaining!! read more

From the creators of Absinthe, which I also loved, I was excited when my boss told me that we had tickets to see Opium at Sunday's 8pm performance. My Vegas-local friend had seen it on opening night and was sure I'd love it, because she knows I like raunchy humor. Plus the theater is rather small & intimate - our seats were on the second row! The campy outer space theme was so much fun! Both the show & the theater are fully committed, which just added to the experience. Even the bar was in on the space theme, with special cocktails (see my photo). I got a Yuzu The Force (Effen Yuzu Vodka, Lime, Lemongrass Jedi Ginger Syrup, Cucumber Cosmic Fizz), and it was awesome. It was also quite large and came in a souvenir plastic cup. Much of the humor is dirty, and there's some nudity, plus the talent is amazing. No spoilers, but each act was outstanding, with a couple of cringe-worthy twists, and every single performer was incredibly funny. The band was excellent as well, and I enjoyed several mash-ups of 80's tunes. Literally my only complaint is that the show seemed too short. However, I'm sure this was because I was so thoroughly enjoying every moment! And, yes, I would absolutely see Opium again. I absolutely love this show! I've been four times! Each show has been different because the performers switch out between all of the other Spiegel world shows and superfrico. I must say at first I thought I liked all of the previous acts better pre-Covid. But this was my first time back after Covid and the acts were all pretty new. At first I was like eh... but then, as Spiegel world does, they popped in some surprises, and I ended up liking the acts at the end better than I did before. There is a full bar but unfortunately they don't sell my favorite drink anymore where things snap crackle and pop in your mouth. Maybe that's a legality issue who knows. But I miss it! Also, behind the stage, Backstage, there's the extra room for Superfrico so when the bubble guy was doing his thing, you could hear the restaurant next-door. It used to be quiet during his act now you just hear a bunch of background noise. Also at the end you used to be able to use the restroom before leaving.... they literally yelled at us to go out the other way, and use the restroom outside or back in the restaurant again which is annoying, inconvenient, and didn't make any sense because there's no show after that. We saw the last one of the night. So rude! I wanted to even go back into the bar area and film a little in there because it was too crowded before. Couldn't even do that. They shove you where the Backstage is right after the show. Also, we ate at Superfrico right before that, so it was interesting that they were the same acts in the show that were in the restaurant. I used to like this show better out of all the Spiegel world shows but now I think it's the last one compared to Absinthe and Atomic saloon show. read more

What a total riot this show is! OPIUM is produced by Spiegelworld which also is responsible for Absinthe in Las Vegas. Both shows are eclectic, different, raunchy and fun. OPIUM is more comedic than Absinthe, which is more acrobatic. OPIUM features a cast of hilarious characters and types of acts you may not have ever seen before. There is an amazing bubble blowing act, there is a tap dance act, there is a dancer with a giant ball, who by the end of the act is inside her ball. I heard there is a sword swallower too, although he was not there the night I was. The music and band are awesome. The MC, sex robot, and batsh*t crazy nurse are super funny. The theatre is small and intimate. There is not a bad seat in the place. If you do not mind racy humor and shows ... by all means check out OPIUM. There is a lot to like. I will go again, I'm sure. My favorite was the three contortionists acrobatics it was mesmerizing and hot (got me blushing a little bit ). The other fun act for me was the bubbles man. It was calm and special to see a good break from the high intensity entertainment that you get from this show. Did we have fun? Yes. Did we laugh? Also yes. Would I go back? Only for free... I won't even try to explain this show. But I will say the bubble guy (with dreads) was definitely our favorite of the performers, and I don't think it was even the guy who normally does that bit - he seemed super nervous, and still did an amazing job! Loved the intimate set up of the theater. We made a reservation at Superfrico pre show and I'm grateful I made the reservations first, because upon confirmation they send you an offer to book Opium tickets 50% off! We went with cheaper seats and ended up paying just over $100 for two of us. Would have been disappointed if I'd paid more because I honestly don't feel it's worth more than $50 a seat. Do be prepared to be a part of their jokes in some way, especially if you're in a big group or in the front row. read more

Solid 4 stars. I had been really looking forward to seeing Opium after having seen Absinthe and loving it. The same creators of Absinthe did Opium as well and you can definitely see some similarities. Do not go to this show if you are easily offended because it is raunchy, but hilarious. A couple of the acts weren't as good most likely because I've seen acts like them in Vegas before. Without giving too much away, the bubble guy was amazing. I had never seen an act like him. It's a very intimate, small theater and there really didn't a bad seat. Their drink prices are priced like most shows you see in Vegas. I ordered the Kiss My Asteroid cocktail, which came with pop rocks and a souvenir cup. It was a fun drink, but I personally didn't prefer the taste. If you haven't seen Opium lately you haven't seen Opium. Saw this show again last night. I'm a fan of the obscure, quirky and artistic. Opium is all of this and more and I love it. The show was fire. First of they changed a lot of dialogue, changed some characters and added new acts. I was mesmerized by both reoccurring acts and new. The acts are skillful, unique and sometimes stunning. The crew is on point and audience interaction takes it to the next level. This time I don't want to give too much away. The show is best if you see it with minimal expectations. Get a seat anywhere and brace yourself for the ride. This is not your normal Vegas show and that's what makes it so amazing. read more

I've been staying at the Cosmo for years, where the Opium show is located, and never saw the show until this past weekend. Honestly this show just doesn't get enough publicity in my opinion. When it first came out I heard a couple of "meh" reviews so It fell off my radar until our last trip when we ate at SuperFrico! Part of the stage and entrance is visible from the restaurant. The bright colors and out of this world space theme intrigued me. We decided to book 2 for 1 tickets using our Cosmo players card for my cousins birthday. It was a super fun experience and we all agreed we would definitely see it again. The theater is quaint and all seats have a great view. If you're seated in the front be prepared to get picked on! The show is a variety show full of comedy, crude rude and totally acceptable hilarious jokes for Vegas, not for kids or prudes. After looking at reviews it seems the acts do change over time which is nice if you want to see it again. Kudos to the bubble man! I never would have thought I'd see a bubble act in Vegas but your execution was on point and pleasantly surprising. Well done Spiegelworld! You've created another entertaining show (aside from Absinthe) that I will be telling all my friends to see in Vegas on their next trip. read more

As this show starts it is heavily influenced by Star Trek. Presented in a way that is comedic; but for adults. The beginning of Opium starts with a voyage this ship, crew , and passengers are trying to make it back to Las Vegas from out in space. Sweet so far right! Hang in there it gets much better. The space ship is moving through space and features all sorts of acts from all of our planets. For those that don't remember: Neptune, Saturn, and so on. Done with the history lesson let's move on. The cast is highly interactive with the audience and touchy feely. This is an adult show that is highly provocative and stunning at the same time. The innuendos are key at communicating the point from the cast to the audience. One would assume the cast is drunk; but this is Vegas at one of the most exclusive and exceptional hotels the Cosmopolitan. So they are not drunk! They are fantastic actors and actresses that want you the guest to let go and get a little loosely; and Enjoy! I picked my ticket up at the box office ten minutes prior to the show; had no problems with this. The recommendation to retrieve ones ticket early is due to the fact of you want a drink it's your responsibility. There are no cocktail waitresses taking drink orders; then bringing them to you. If you need libations; I highly recommend it. Get them prior to the show. I have read a lot of reviews that consider this show a joke. Which they joke around, but the seriousness of the acting and storyline are not any less impressive because of the comedic quality that's included. The comedy and the acts go together such as a symbiotic relationship. One cannot exist with out the other. The performances during the show from the other planets aliens are amazing . Each one gets more involved and heated. There is lots and lots of nudity in this and sexual attraction and passion. It is a clean show although. One that celebrates the provactiveness of sex. It is highly erotic and will enhance ones way of thinking. I highly recommend this show. It should be on the must to be list. What else could be better. The celebration of sexual experiences with comedic relief. A reason to drink booze. Plus the actors encourage the participates of Opium not only to have an open mind; but realize that sex is where we came from. We had a corporate event at the Cosmo, so Superfrico and Opium was perfect for our team building activity without having to leave the hotel. If I didn't see Rouge earlier in the week, I think Opium would have gotten 5 stars. Opium was just way too short. The show was a little under 1hr. Performers are talented, but just came out one right after another without any story/rhyme/reason. We did laugh and stayed entertained the entire time. I don't think the show is worth more than $75 though. read more

I didn't even know the Cosmo had a theater til Roger T reached out to me with free tickets to this show. Produced by Spiegelworld, I had high hopes.. unfortunately, they weren't really met. The performers were likeable and the show itself had a cohesive plot instead of just being a nebulous string of stunts, but some parts push the limits of what one might call "entertainment". Favorite parts include Sputnik and the purple balloon- acts that were unusual and interesting but didn't push into the stomach-turning arena of the banana portion. The performers seemed more skilled in the areas of acting and filling an unusual role than they were standouts in a particular skill set like juggling, balance, dance, etc.I did find the space-theme gimmick fun, but it was absurd and awkward more than anything else. If you luck into free or steeply discounted tickets, go for the fun of it. But I wouldn't pay their ticket price and don't see this lasting long. read more

I found myself laughing a lot during the show last night. There were a number of puns, something that I like. Example--the space ship is helmed by Captain Ann Tennille. Also, wherever you may travel, you're never far from Uranus! Sophomoric humor, yes, but it made me laugh. The theatre opens at 7:30 and you're directed to one of two bars depending on where your seat is. The house opens about 7:45 so you have time to get a drink and take it in with you or finish beforehand. Drinkers choice. I'm glad I don't drink because the prices are $18 for small and $24 for large. They have given them names to go along with the space theme of the show. The theatre is an intimate, semi-circular affair with no seats being too far from the action. The folding chairs are not the most comfortable things going but I wasn't going to pay for the high price seats or the booth seating. The show takes place as you travel from Uranus to Las Vegas. On the way, there's a goofy mix of singing, some acts such as juggling, a cast member working with hula hoops, and some audience participation. The show is "small" in nature. It's not meant to be Cirque-like nor like it's older sibling Absinthe. It's not fair to try to compare them. Like other Spiegelworld productions, every attempt is made to shock, amuse, and maybe even offend the audience. There was one act at the end of which almost everyone was either laughing or crying out "ewwww" or both. I won't say anymore so I don't spoil it for others. I do like the intimate nature of the theatre with its small stage and circular way of bringing in actors for their parts. The actors also use the aisles for entrances and exits. There is some audience participation and it's funny and harmless. If you're in a mood for some silly humor and some good music from the singer and the five piece band, go see this. This is a definitely worth seeing show but if you're looking for Cirque de Soleil caliber acrobats you might be disappointed. Opium is more about a sort of raunchy adult experience (sometimes tries too hard to be racy and ends up coming off a little silly) where the acrobatics are somewhat secondary to the over all presentation. Highlights included the toned sexy muscular girl who flung around a large balloon like ball attached to her head, eventually absorbing the balloon until she was almost entirely inside it, and the double jointed contortionist who passed his entire body through two tennis racket frames (saw a similar show on Fremont Street downtown but we think the downtown Vegas street show involved tennis rackets that expanded a tad (were flexible) while the Opium act was legitimate). Each actor was good at what he or she did - even if, for example with the ditsy blonde, was just taking her clothes off. Apparently Opium rotates its actors based on who is available that night, so you might watch it one night and see something different from another time. There is audience participation right from the start from a slutty actor who rubs and grinds herself against select male audience members, and later brings someone on stage for a comedy sort of modern pantomime act. (She too ends up taking some of her clothes off.) Throughout the show we kept smelling what smelled like bits of newspaper that had been lit on fire then snuffed out, and we never figured out if it was from the audience or something to do with the show's special effects. Be careful of where you place your drink (expensive drinks in plastic goblets available only at show's start) - someone placed one right behind her neck on a little ledge and when I reached around to put my arm around her it knocked the drink to the ground. I tried to hand some money to the guy whose drink I had knocked down after the show ended, but he politely refused. Come to Opium to settle in for an unusual experience. Turn your brain off and don't expect too much and you'll be pleasantly entertained. read more
