    Pumpkin carving

Operation pumpkin is an incredibly popular event in Hamilton for a reason. High street is blocked off for this event that includes a variety of carved pumpkins from local artists, some just really GIANT pumpkins, vendor tables, artwork, carnival rides and plenty of food! Also local shops along the street are typically open and fun to check out. Lounge 24 is a close by cocktail bar that was offering a couple fall drink specials and has a big open window (perfect for people watching!) This is a great event to meet up with friends or go with family and support local businesses. Whether you're shopping for jewelry, art work, bakery products or just wanted to look at some really cool pumpkins , operation pumpkin has a bit of something for everyone (hence why I go every year!)

Lots of fun. Great way to find local artists and craftsman. There are many food options. Fun free little crafts for the kids.

Hey I thought this was a fabulous event and I wish it happened more than once a year! Very well…read moreattended and organized, huge variety of food trucks to choose from. Conveniently located (for me lol) and had a lot of parking, although they closed the lot after I came in which was weird. I went around lunch time and was able to be home within an hour! Please do this event more often!! I tried the following: AJ's Cheesesteaks - I've heard so much about how they're some of the best cheesesteaks in the area. The product was definitely quality and the bread was good, but all I could taste was the butter they put all over the bun, no cheese or steak flavor. The sandwich was also kind of small. I would try it again sometime, especially the fries, but tbh Penn Station is better for me. Fusako - I was really excited to try this truck. I guess the signature item was the wings or the hotdog, which sounded great but too heavy for me. I tried the street corn gyoza and it was $10 for 4 gyoza with some canned corn and mayo topping and regular dumplings...? I didn't get it. Shaken up Lemonade - I appreciated that this lemonade was not super sweet and it was a large portion. Refreshing! Naughty Lobster - The sandwich was good, I just got a plain one instead of experimenting. I think it's better than the corporate lobster truck that comes around here sometimes. Just be aware that the guy on the truck hits on everyone, regardless of gender or age, as part of the shtick. (: Looking forward to attending this event next time and hoping for more like it!

This place was packed and I wish they would do it once a month. I would so come back just try other things. As you can see in the pictures there are at least 50 food trucks. So the players stay cooler and we saw some great baseball. There are two fields. The big Prasco field has a Jumbotron and everything. Stands and dugouts are just like the major leagues. The smaller field features a snack bar. And up above, between both parks, there are sheltered tables and chairs. Bar stools but no beer. There are inflatables for the kids and shady spots for adults. It's family friendly. This park is so clean! I had to ask someone, do they actually use it? Oh my! What an amazingly calm and beautiful place. Children squealing with delight just gives me more reason to sit and enjoy the game. This gift from above makes places you pay for seem, dirty. Seriously, the profit factor changes everything and the people too. No charge for entry into the park? Free food? You MUST be joking. What have they done? And how can it be repaid? Just love one another as I have loved you. His resources are unlimited. What love! Amen.

Charming & Timeless - A Gem in Middletown…read more The Sorg Opera House in downtown Middletown, Ohio, is a truly beautiful venue. While it could use a bit of repair and restoration in places, that doesn't take away from its unique charm and great atmosphere. We attended a concert there and were so pleased with the experience. The staff was welcoming and friendly, and the setting really transports you back in time--this historic space, built in the late 1800s, has an old-world elegance that's hard to find these days.

When first walking up to the entrance you feel like you're walking in to the past. As you walk the hallway to the theater space, you can feel the atmosphere. Then when you walk in to the theater, you are welcomed with an absolutely stunning view of the three+ floors of visual nirvana. The space is stunning and I'll be the first to admit that It for sure needs some serious TLC. As we talked to folks, they all state that you should have seen it before we started cleaning it up. It is a work in progress so things will get updated as they can. Once the lights dropped and the band started playing, the acoustics in this building was amazing!! We wandered around from the floor to second floor and the audio sounded phenomenal regardless of where you are seated. Dating myself here but I feel like Statler and Waldorf(muppets) should be heckling from the boxes. We will for sure go back. If it's cold outside, wear a jacket or bring a blanket as it gets kind of chilly in here. They are working in that too so that suggestion may no longer be needed.
