My son had a super fun birthday party here. All of the boys absolutely loved it. We return on a bi-weekly basis for my son to continue to play. So finally got to our First Yelp Paintball Event here on Sunday. I'll admit things started off rather bumpy. The field had no paint, we had no place to set up base, no gear, no ref...what the heck was going on?!? Anyway after some talking with the guys working the main office, then speaking with Chuck and Debbie (the owners of the establishment). Things finally started going right. New paint was coming with several cases set aside for our group, we were given a nice bench with cover right in the center of the area to set up our barbecue, we got geared up, and our ref shortly showed up shortly to get everyone oriented and start the games. When we finally got to play paintball, everything kicked into high gear. Fields Played (in this order): Hamburger Hill: A small hill, one team on top, one team on bottom. Nice little bunkers some man-made some natural spread out throughout the field. The top advantage is being able to shoot down, but it's really hard to see where everyone is. While the bottom can see where everyone is, but moving up is difficult as if you are seen you're very exposed. My favorite bunker: a broken speedboat in the middle of the field. Urban: One of my favorite fields, possibly my favorite at Operation Paintball. HUGE! a little bit of forest on each end, and what appears to be a fake village in the center, with even second story places for people to climb and sniper from. The lot is also littered with run down vehicles which makes things more fun. Easily a field that could accommodate 60 people. Bridge: This field is definitely the best for those who like the sneaking aspect of paintball. Great for those who have camouflage, a good field for a game of sniper (4 vs 10). Sadly the way the field is set up, it doesn't work great for spectators. Airball: The best field for spectators, fast action packed games. Not exactly a full on X-Ball or PSP set up (for tournament players), but a nice sized field and a great introduction to sport paintball for rec players. Although the majority of the high-school students were very helpful throughout the day. I also do wish some of the bigger fields had an extra ref assigned to them. I just wish there was a bit more adults working to at least keep things organized. As the field is so large with so many players (private parties and walk ons) that things can feel chaotic at times. Overall, our games went great. Parking is kind of an issue so definitely carpool. This place is the biggest paintball field/arena, and probably best rec ball fields I've ever been to. Prices are pretty good IMO. To make things better to make up for the mishaps, Debbie gave our group a free case of paint, which was very considerate of her. Our group ended up not needing to buy any extra paint, meaning $33/per person for gear & paint for about 4 hours of play...sounds good to me. I was a little nervous because I have low pain tolerance and I didn't wear the sweat pants I should have worn. But the staff were very friendly! Operation Paintball - We had a blast at OP on their annual D-Day event! - Paintball Near Me - Graham, Washington

Let's get the initial event part out of the way first. OMG SO much fun!! Thanks to Gav for manning up and putting this all together! Also the only paintballer to get a "real" hit on me until the airsoft field play (with a killer shot to the neck!) I was a paintball virgin until today, and I'm glad we came here! Upon arriving, things were already amiss. Don L was not late, he was *gasp* early! That should have been our first clue something bad was about to happen. Karma gods don't f*ck around. And.....we find they are OUT of paint....really? so your business is paintball, and you require paint balls to conduct your business and the one thing you didn't order enough of....was....paint balls? The teenagers working the counter were apologetic, but also very flustered with all the questions Assured that more paint was indeed on it's way, we hunkered down for snacks, trash talking, gearing up, etc. Debbie, the owner, who also lives onsite, hooked us up with an entire case of extra paint for free and made sure we received several set aside cases when the order arrived. I wish I had thought to take note of our referee's name. Cute young kid, who did a great job taking our group from field to field, switching up games, offering game suggestions, and keeping things fair under his watchful eye. The entire staff was aslo pretty cool. All young teenage/early 20s guys, they were very nice in explaining all the ins and out of the gun to me. I'd never held one, and yes, they are simple as hell...but i like to know things. During one round the gun I had kept getting stuck on auto-fire, knowing how to attempt to fix it until I could swap it was helpful. Overall, the business should be managed by a few more adults on site than we saw today, just to keep things smooth during days where they are surprised by large reserved groups (lilke ours, only bigger) and a ton of "walk ons". I think for overall craziness and speed of play, the airsoft was my favorite field. For "tactical stategical" play, urban was my favorite. The bridge was ok, but the hunter/sniper game we played was fun, but of all the fields this was the most oddly set up terrain. Overall, this was a GREAT event and this is a pretty neat place. It is far out in the boonies, but worth it for a group event day. Shit, how could I forget....Props to chris for actually putting on, and balling, in the bear suit. First off, this is a Drive! This is not just a lil trip, its like 45 or 50 miles from the Eastside! South of Lake Tapps, so give yourself plenty of time! And bring a map, lest you *gasp* get lost! When we got there, the whole parking lot was full! So we had to park on the street! And carry everything in by the power of our legs! Cardio! 2ndly, when we arrived, we were informed that they were out of paint... Seemed very kismet! Lets go paintballing without the paint balls! So we started eating whilst we waited for that delivery! The first thing I noticed, was EVERYONE had gone Commando!! There were PB platoons aplenty, it was great! The fields were AWESOME! Many different tactical situations! Team on team action! Snipers and assault! I was a little disappointed in my performance, I played it safe! But I was the final sniper in the sniper game! Let them come to you! And the guns are actually pretty accurate with aim! I was surprised how often I actually hit what I was aiming at, sans my glass! Gavin planned this soooo thoroughly! GREAT JOB!! And thanks to Debbie owner or mgr of OP, for giving us the extra balls to play with! GREAT DAY, GREAT TIME! I got tons of pics too!! Forgot to mention Chris and his bear suit!! i went here last night for a friends birthday party, we were there for the last few hours of close and beyond. the customer service was pretty good, they stayed open late for the group and were accommodating, but another group of 3 or 4 people that showed up were allowed to play within our group, which i didn't think was okay, they were playing to 'win' and were much more aggressive and took the fun out of the group party, they have 15' surrender rule that only applies if your not running towards your enemy, i was shot at about 7 feet (arm extended i almost could have hit the guy with the gun) the ref was right in from of the this and said he was 20 feet away. He was 20' away when he started shooting and didn't stop until i was yelling in pain. (starting bleeding through a hockey jersey) the courses were cool but they were to long with not enough middle cover, people were just volleying paint from back of the fields. i would give them 2 stars ( i will def not be back) but they did stay open late for the birthday boy read more

We went foe my son's birthday party and he had a great time! The ref they were with was good with a group of (sometime not listening) 12 year old boys! The rest of the staff was helpful and nice too. The party was 3 hours and the boys were entertained the whole time. My son said it was the "best birthday ever!" I was a bit more than we usually spend for parties, but if it is the best birthday ever, how can you argue with that! read more

Despite being out of paintballs, yes out of paintballs, when we arrived this place was bad ass. They had 4 different fields of play setup with everything from urban assault to speed ball. I really like the way they have the area set up as well, there is plenty of places for large groups to set up, BBQ and store gear and small children. Gavin brought his BBQ which was a great idea cuz we started grillin up some dogs and sausages as we waited for more paintballs to arrive. It ended up being a great idea to BBQ first as by the end of the day I was pretty tired and really hungry. All the staff (mostly high school kids) here were very helpful and knowledgable, they were constantly helping noobs with their markers and giving them tips, they never really seemed to be annoyed in the least by these adults constantly pestering them with a barrage of questions. Also props must be given to Debbie, the super nice proprietor of the establishment who made sure our day went by smoothly and that all of us had fun. She even gave us another box of paint for free because they had run out earlier. Way to go Debbie, you just earned yourself some repeat business! From Beginner to Expert this place is awesome! Come alone as a walk on or reserve the field for a private group party, I guarantee you will have an awesome time! read more

After KC Crusaders, this is my favorite field, thus far. They have reasonable prices, and the staff takes safety and fun seriously. There have been a few snags with reservations before, but the staff was always courteous and helpful to resolve it. Okay, lets talk about the fields. These are AMAZING fields. They have several that they rotate you through, throughout the day. It doesn't matter if you are a private group or a walk-on group. You play at all the fields. You VW nuts out there in cyberland will appreciate the fact that their Urban field has a late 70's model Rabbit as a bunker. It nearly brought a tear to my eye to have to shoot it to tag someone out. I digress. Hamburger Hill was an amazing field to try and fight up. The Urban field had lots of junk and two-story buildings to snipe from. The Speedball field was pretty standard. The Bridge field, was so amazingly wooded that I was able to sneak behind the whole enemy team. The Jungle field is where I start to complain. When I play paintball in Western Washington, I might expect to see the occasional stinging nettle and bee. I do NOT, however, expect to see whole groves of stinging nettles and multiple large bee's nests. The field may have rectified this, but if they haven't, avoid the Jungle field. The only other complaint I have about Operation Paintball is how frequently you change fields. I have a lot of gear, as do several people I play with. We don't like like to lug it from field to field, every two games. While I applaud the effort to allow people to play on all fields, I'd like to stick around on one for more than two games. By the way, as I read the other reviews, I need to ask, "You people arrange Yelp games?!" I might have to include people on here for my next private group... So, quick summary: This is a great venue with many amazing fields and one that I'm scared of (You just can't shoot bees. They are known for swarming.) The prices are reasonable, and you get a variety of playing experiences with refs that actually do their jobs. You just change fields, a lot. The only place I like more is KC Crusaders, and not by much. read more

Every once in awhile they'll have somebody come and provide food for decent prices. Last time I went, they had hotdogs grilling with chips and drinks for a good price. You might want to call ahead if getting food beforehand is difficult to see if they'll have anyone onsite to provide food for your group. read more

This did not start so good. We arrived a little early and when I spoke with the fellow behind the window he was really rude. So I passed it off as hired help that shouldn't be hired. When we could start we had a blast. Yes most fields were muddy but this was just after the big storm so its what I expected. A young man joined us who, as it turned out, was the son of one of the owners. We really enjoyed ourselves. We had so much fun. You probably say, "why the 1 star then?" Remember that "hired help" I mentioned earlier? Turns out he is one of the owners. Here is where Operation Paintball loses 3 stars. That person told me one of the kids I had with me came to him while we were playing and told him his mask was lost. He couldn't tell which so he picked the smallest as the most likely candidate. The smallest was not the youngest. My son is 11 but he is short. The owner accused him of losing his mask. My son never lost his mask and did not leave the play area without my supervision. After much rude arguing - guys tells me kids lie all the time and my kid was a liar, another person with him says it didn't matter what we said the missing mask had to be paid for. No here's the kicker, another group showed up and a person in their group had to ask for an additional mask. They played with us, we left before them but they told me they asked for an extra mask. I brought this up to the owner and he says he can account for their extra mask. Even though the person who had the extra mask told me they gave it to someone else within the group and did not know who it was the extra mask was given to. In all this the most important thing was how rude this owner was! I ended up paying the $25 for the "lost" mask. I spent maybe $200 there that day, not including the mask, and I will never go again. Paintball is really fun, but there are enough of these places around that I don't need to spend my money at a place like this. read more

No where in the coupon's terms and conditions said that we weren't allowed to use the coupons as a private group. They should have owned up to their mistake (even if it was their first time trying it), because I will probably not go back no matter what the price is. read more

Set up a group party and one person decided to show up late, owner/manager whoever it was gave us a bunch of B.S all day for reserving a field and missing one player. Everyone who did make it, paid and was cooperative. Every time we went back to fill up our tanks he kept giving us B.S about how he had to bring in an extra employee to ref of matches. Besides that, the young kid that was reffing our matches was amazing. Most of the players were first time paintballers so he did everything to educate and provided information to make the game go smoother. Going to KC Crusader from now on. read more

I purchased vouchers for Operation Paintball in advance, but upon arriving i was informed that they would not honor the vouchers and good luck on a refund. The owner of the establishment was quite rude. I got the impression that business was good enough and he could care less if i stayed or left. I have played there before but will not be returning. If you buy paint there they have a huge markup, twice the cost if you bought it in a store. Pros: fun courses to play on. Cons: bad business practices, rude employees, expensive paint. This place is not a paintball field. Upon arriving to this "field," you notice that the office, or "proshop" is run out of a mobile home. The refs there just sit and don't get the games going, I was with my private group and they still took forever to move along. The manager (I assume he was, I think his name was Mitch) was very rude and seemed to insult us about what we were doing wrong. We tried using the voucher coupons from the Puyallup Fair, but they refused to let us use them for our private group. The fields there were muddy and smelled very bad. There was trash everywhere. Instead of being able to play as a private group (since our voucher/groupons were "INVALID") we decided (13 of us) to play walkons. There, we met several nice people, I think there was a guy named Tony there helping us out, but i'm not completely sure on that one. There were also some pretty rude people whom I believe worked there, there was a kid who was shooting full auto and my gun wasn't aloud to shoot in 3 round burst. I wouldnt ever go back, they are unsatisfactory. read more

only giving one star because i am required to. staff here is horrible minus a few of the refs who seem to play fair and by the rules. the staff inside the office are very rude and unhelpful. prices are outrageous and the playing isnt great as the fields are a mess and unorganized, especially the airball field. bunkers were falling over and were slim to none. as an avid paintball player i was extremely disappointed in the entire experience here at operation paintball and will not be returning. sad day for paintball when the quality of fields are consistently disintegrating, while the game of paintball is constantly growing. step up your game, or more and more customers will take their time and money elsewhere. read more
