Just thought I would add one more experience. When covid came and we were all struggling, I lost…read moreall my work, my employees bailed and when I asked for a discount on their services, I was ignored. I am sure they got PPP money to pay their employees, but the thought of paying it forward was completely lost on them.

Horrible service! I was recommended to this firm from the next door app which I will be posting…read morethere too. I was in dire need of getting my 1099 for my small business completed. I was already 6 days behind completing them. Melissa -the daughter of the owner- knows how to swindle you especially when you are desperate for help. I was told when I came in to pay $350 up front which they never told me that was just a deposit. To my knowledge it was to perform the work. All the work. And she also had said she could do it in a few days (3). Ok so I paid and I put my credit card down for them to keep. Big mistake. Never leave your card for a vendor to keep! After the 4th day I was wondering what was the hold up. They needed two more ein that Melissa never emailed on. I had to reach out and she finally responded after a day. Then she preceded to tell me since she just gotten the new ein number it would take another 5 business days! After two weeks I was asking when they will be done. I know they were slammed and trying to buy time or charge me for that time. I was right when they finally called that they were ready after 2.5 weeks they said my invoice was $1900!! They processed twenty-eight 1099s for me. I was flabbergasted. I said to the front lady Patty which I am sure she is use to swindling people for the Chan's that I was not told it would be more. She said oh yes sweetie we charge by the hour. When the invoice finally came in there were no hours listed!! It was just a straight preparing and rechecking etc all for $1900. I said I'm not paying. I ended up doing my own 1099 through a phone call with Intuit. How long did it take me less than 2 hours! And I'm a novice with QuickBooks. If I can figure it out anyone can. The only advice I can give is to do your due diligence on this firm! This mother daughter team is a modern day Bonnie and Clyde! **Update** see forms below. A picture is worth a thousand words! Do you see deposit or hourly rates listed on them?

I requested that these folks help me determine my tax liability for 2023 after a huge life event…read morethat caused me to cash out a lot of stock. I am not rich, and I was worried about having to sell my home to pay for taxes. I involved these folks from August 2023, and as they looped in my ex inappropriately and basically just sent some emails with no results, I did not expect to be charged. Even if I was to be charged, they never talked about fees or costs or anything and I did not sign any agreements. Then, in February 2024 I get an invoice dated 12/31/2023 for $750 for work done in 2023! I email the person I was working with and they stated that they would "void" my invoice. Then I get an invoice again on 02/29/2024 for the same! These people have not acted professionally and I would not recommend them at all. If I have to pay, it is sad that they have neither heart for my precarious financial situation, nor do they honor what was stated in email as an agreement. Either way, $750 for a few emails and minimal follow up seems extremely expensive and I am glad they did not complete my taxes or anything else, as it will already cause me to choose between paying them and being able to pay my monthly expenses, such as eating. I hate writing negative feedback, but I feel that this firm is just after my money and could care less about the people they say they are trying to help. I wish there was a less than 1 star I could give for this, and it pains me that I have to resort to reviews when they are so unresponsive and uncaring. I should add that I am giving them one last chance to make this right. If I am forced to pay and not have enough to eat I will be reporting this to the BBB, Dept of Consumer Affairs, and anywhere else I can, like the AICPA.

The firm did my tax return for 2022. Their charges were 3-5 times as expensive as other firms have…read morecharged me for slightly less complicated return. Not only that, the accountant did not include a valid deduction for $20,239 for which the IRS audited me. I responded to the audit and the IRS told me that I didn't owe any taxes on the $23,239 discrepancy.
