Ok a few notes... Let's start: this place is AMAZING! They have the:…read more 1. Best service 2. Awesome food 3. Tasty coffee 4. Nice decor 5. Great Cleanliness From the moment we walked in we had the most amazing blonde and brunette waitresses! They were so kind, friendly and so attentive! They kept re-filling our water, made sure we were happy, laughed at my dad and uncles dad jokes :p haha was nice. Also really fast service! The food was amazing! No one left anything on their plates! Was soooo good. Steak sandwich, angus beef burger, scallop salad, salmon and coconut salad were ace! So so so delicious!!! Definitely have some great chefs there! Great cooking and not too long to wait!!! Coffee = Tasty!!!! Usually I only like certain coffee shops but this one is tops!!!! The coffee was perfectly roasted, perfectly frothed milk, and the most delicious chocolate, coffee and milk ratio!!! The place is beautiful inside, old fashioned glasses, beautiful wood furnishings, cute tables and chairs. Plus the beautiful show kitchen really shows the skills of the amazing chefs!!! Love it! Lastly, the place is so so so so so clean! I am impressed! 11/10 for everything!!! Highly recommend this to anyone!!!

Good quality food cooked well…read more The modern wooden interiors reminded me of the hull on the inside of a ship. Pretty cool. Some lunch mains are in the range of $30 - $35 which is a bit pricey given that you could have lunch at a better location e.g. next to the harbour, for the same price, or pay a little extra for a fine dining restaurant. Desserts looked tempting and there was a good selection but unfortunately did not to get to try them.

Really popular place. They have street seating and indoor. The only thing available when we went…read morewithout waiting was inside. Inside wasn't bad, the table was big and the chairs comfortable. We were waited on immediately. Servers fly around like dancers, it's actually pretty impressive. Our food arrived in no time. My wife had fish and chips and I had lamb and rosemary pie. She enjoyed her meal. Mine was different than I've had before. It was still ok but I wouldn't order it again. Others would probably like it, it just wasn't for me. We didn't have any dessert but as you walk in the door they have some wonderful looking pies and cakes. Do yourself a favor and save room for one of those. I messed up and didn't try something. This is actually a really cool restaurant that I would like to try again. I wouldn't let one dish that didn't hit my taste buds keep me away.

I understand it can get a little busy at times too, so there might be a wait. PRO TIP: make an online reservation and get seated right away! I had a couple of goals when visiting Australia... and one of them was to try kangaroo. The Rocks Cafe delivers with their Kangaroo Filet! And you can get it gluten-free! The sauce is a bit rich for me, but you can brush some of the sauce off with your fork. If kangaroo is not your thing, then there are plenty of other options on the menu... and the crowd around us all looked pleased with their orders. After you are done with your meal, you just go to the front/reception area and pay your bill. Easy peasy! Overall rating: ****FOUR STARS**** Gluten-free rating: ****FOUR STARS****
