The waitress was really sweet, but unfortunately I wasn't a fan of the food. I ordered a sausage & cheese omelet, hubby had the biscuits & gravy, and my brother in law had the garlic sausage and eggs and we shared a pancake. I was a little disappointed in the packets of dry non dairy creamer on the table. Not how I prefer to have my coffee, but I still used them. The sausage in my omelet was really good, but that was about it. The hash browns were a little greasy and had no flavor to them at all. I wasn't a fan of hubby's dish either, the biscuits were a little plain jane as was the gravy. The garlic sausage was ok. It had flavor, but I've had better. I was super excited when our sweet waitress put the pancake on the table. It was thick and looked so delicious. But again, no flavor at all. The syrup didn't help either. No maple taste to it whatsoever. I don't think I'll come back anytime soon.

When someone pictures a great coffee shop in most other areas of the US, they get more different visions than what the Java Jar is. This is, in a way, its charm! It really feels like someone's tiny little kitchen got renovated into a cafe. It's cozy and the the service is always friendly the many times I've been there. I would have to agree that it may not be the cheapest place to get coffee, but that's fine with me. I'll pay a little extra to feel comfortable and welcome in this coffee shop. I reserve the 5th star because while I feel comfortable, I'm not really that keen on the whole country bumpkin decor. I never did eat the food, but those I went with never had anything bad to say. Overall, if you are familiar with this town of Torrington, you'll agree that it is one of a few places that really stand out and one that you'll be sure to revisit anytime you go through Torrington.

You know God bless Wyoming and it's people. I mean who else is going to bless them?? I was raised…read morein Wyoming and departed ASAP once I got out of high school. During the years I was there, visited on return trips and complaints from some of my family members sometimes my former Wyomingites just do not seem to know what they are getting themselves into. Countless times I have seen ridiculousness trying to be made by people who don't seem to know what they are doing. This ranges from breweries to golf courses. It was like one of the people being interviewed said in Michael Moore's film Roger & Me, 'You can't bring the beach to Michigan'. This eluded to the fact that someone was trying to build a massive water park with artificial beaches in Michigan back in the 80's which went belly up. Much of these endeavors in Wyoming to bring something from somewhere else also met a similar fate. Of course I realize there are many people who are trying to do something and have no idea what they are doing besides Wyoming but there are just so many of these instances here. This brings me to Table Mountain Vineyards & Winery. I heard that there was a winery in Wyoming in the east but I didn't really seem to pay much attention to this information since I am more obsessed with breweries. My brother brought me some of the Cowboy Reserve that he bought there and brought to me and my partner. The cowboy Reserve was a red wine and was aging since 2007. It didn't sound so bad until we tasted it. It was not one dimensional in taste which was good but it did taste very vinegary which was not ok. From what I understand if wine tastes like vinegar it is simply old. I have had other wine from this year at other places and it tastes fine which leads me to the point that the winery may have no clue to what they are doing. Perhaps I just got a bad batch so to speak. I haven't tried their other wines and I am not too sure if I want to. The wine cost about $13 to $14 which is a lot of cash for the quality of wine I had. Maybe some of their other wines are better but..... To give the winery some credit the wine didn't taste like metal. I had a wine once that did. D-I-S-G-U-S-T-I-N-G!!
