Nearly every detail the bride confirmed and signed off on before the wedding was ignored. The bridal suite had dirty champagne glasses and unsafe, wobbly chairs for hair and makeup. Both coordinators were hard to find throughout the day, and when issues arose, they were either dismissed or never followed up on. Guests were served the wrong food (including one with a serious allergy), others didn't receive meals at all, and many didn't even know dessert or coffee was available because there was no announcement. The champagne cart enhancement that was paid for was unstaffed and never used. Even simple things like helping the bride's nephew hand out programs--something I personally spoke to the coordinator about--were completely forgotten. Working in customer service myself, I know how important attention to detail, communication, and accountability are--especially for an event as meaningful as a wedding. What I saw that day was the opposite. The only person who seemed to know what she was doing was Sarah, who genuinely tried to correct issues and assist where others failed. Overall, it was extremely disappointing to watch such an important day unravel due to negligence and poor management.

We attended a wedding and everything was just so lovely! We walked in to see a round table with romantic candles and pretty blooms in the brides colors at the entrance. We then headed straight for cocktail hour which included an area for the food, a bar area, as well as bistro tables around a beautiful fountain in a partially open air space. There was plenty of room to spread out and there was never a long line at the bar which always seems to be an issue at weddings. They did indeed serve champs from the bar which is sometimes a rarity, but much appreciated by my hubby and me. The food for cocktail hour was plated stations and included a Philly Love statue ice sculpture with decent sized shrimp. Crab stuffed mushrooms, buffalo chicken, Stromboli, and sausage meatballs were some of the items hubs noshed on and enjoyed. The ballroom was so gorgeous with soft drapery around the dance floor which had the couples names projected onto it. The mood was super romantic and the floral arrangements were just beautiful. It was darker with uplighting and lots of votives. The ambiance was just so, so very right. The cake was also beautiful, and decorated with the same fresh roses found in the centerpieces. It was cut traditionally by the couple but given in wrapped to go slices as we exited. I hear it was pretty delicious. The cake table was set so beautifully with a sequin tablecloth, and more fresh flowers. The food was served buffet style with a plated starter salad. Stuffed chicken, salmon, penne primavera, green beans, incredible roasted potatoes, mixed veggies, and carving stations. Cold salads such as tomato, potato and tortellini were there also as well as olives and fresh rolls. Dessert was served in the same fashion and included everything you could possibly want....tiramisu, carrot cake, strawberry shortcake, mini cannoli, mini fruit tarts. I could go on and on. Absolutely no explanation was provided for this last-minute cancellation, and despite explaining that we had already been traveling for nearly an hour, we were met with neither understanding nor any attempt to offer an alternative solution. We are extremely disappointed by the lack of communication, professionalism, and flexibility demonstrated throughout this experience. We believe that customers deserve timely notice and reasonable consideration, particularly when they have made significant arrangements to attend a scheduled appointment. We hope that sharing our experience will help other families avoid a similar situation. We would have expected a much higher level of professionalism and customer service, and we are disappointed that this was not reflected in our experience.

From the first email interaction with the wedding staff we were treated with respect, enthusiasm and excitement at the chance of having our wedding there. NVCC was the first venue we looked at and let me say--they set the bar extremely high. We met with Matt who was eager to tell us everything NVCC had to offer and seemed genuinely excited to work with us. He was professional and very much prepared for our meeting. I usually have lots of questions when deciding something this important, but after everything Matt went over I felt well-informed and had very few extra questions. We did go look at a few more venues that same weekend but after those visits it was an easy decision and we booked our wedding with them in their Crystal Ballroom. Matt stayed as our wedding coordinator throughout the almost 2-year planning process and always got back to my emails in a timely manner. In our meetings leading up to the big day, Matt made sure he knew exactly what we wanted so there were no surprises on the day of the wedding and made us feel comfortable that everything was going to be taken care of. The day before the wedding my husband and I dropped off our decorations and instructions with Alexis (another wedding coordinator). She was fantastic as well! She not only helped us unload from my car but also went through everything with us to make sure they knew what I was talking about on my list. I can honestly say that when I left everything there I was not worried in the slightest--I knew they would do a great job and that piece of mind is priceless to a bride the day before the wedding. The day of the wedding we were greeted off the party bus by Matt who seemed very excited for us. Then when it was time for my photographers and videographers (neither had been to this venue before) to take my husband and myself on the grounds for pictures, Alexis pulled a stealthy ninja move and hoped on a golf cart to come with us without any of us knowing! She helped so much by telling my photographers some nice spots on the grounds to take pictures. Alexis even reminded me to look at my cake before the reception started-- I would not have gotten to see it until the cake cutting otherwise! They laid out all of the details I wanted perfectly--it was my vision brought to life. The entire staff was friendly and helpful--my husbands and my entrées (and my mom's!) were even covered up so they wouldn't get cold while we were visiting guests. I need to shout out the bartenders--Walt was hooking me up all night and always asked how the drinks were and if I liked how he made it and Natalie even gave her own personal energy drink to a groomsmen that was a little sleepy and wanted Redbull/vodka! Last but not least JJ was our maître d and she was phenomenal. She made sure everything was running smoothly and was to our liking and got all of our decorations packaged up so we did not have to worry about anything after the reception. Our wedding was perfect and it was largely because of NVCC-- we would not have changed a thing. Even now--a month after the wedding, guests still tell me how amazing the food and service was. As soon as I stepped onto the property, I knew this place was the one for us. Plus it is family-run, making it warm and welcoming. Every detail in their renovations and planning has been carefully thought out. We were able to have our welcome reception, wedding, and farewell brunch all at Fox Briar - which made logistics easy, and a handful of our closest family and friends at the Inn for the weekend. Donna made the planning process easy and kept everything running smoothly the day of. Kendall is an incredible innkeeper and made everyone feel welcome and cared for - and her baked goods are to die for! The Inn itself is super clean and comfortable - all the rooms are beautiful but the bridal suite in particular is gorgeous and truly special. It was a perfect set-up for our family and friends in every way, and we could not have asked for more.
