The owner has a horrible demeanor. Such nasty attitude and didn't care to listen or care about Covid protocols or the fact that we couldn't give a final number in because guests were canceling left and right during the surge of COVID. He kept yelling at the bride and groom and saying nasty things. I would not recommend any interaction with him. If you do really want to go with this venue, I would strictly request no contact with the owner and work with Mary Elise. She is amazing and kept apologizing for HIS behavior. Service was bad too, dirty plates and other dinnerware. Half the Guests weren't served desserts either or coffee. Wow! Frank I can't thank you enough for allowing us to have our wedding at your venue! Let's first start off by thanking Derrick and Angela who made our night very special & it ran so smooth. All he cares about it money not if you enjoy your wedding or not, all he sees is dollar signs. He is the worst person to deal with bride and grooms. If you are looking for a venue that has the Brides best interest at heart, THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. They are rude, condescending, the owner Frank wants this his way or no way. You will find hidden fees the week before your wedding. Make sure you ASK about a wedding rehearsal. One staff will tell you one thing, then when you meet with Frank, it's a HARD "NO"!! They will make you use their custom made oblong tablecloths with their ivory & gold overlays, because without the overlay, the top of the tablecloths has what looks to be black Mildew or mold. They will have 2 weddings at the same time right next to each other & both wedding guests will interact with each other by default. They will lie & tell you that they do not have silver charger plates because again, they want u to use all things gold. However they do have silver chargers. They were rude to guest. they waited for the last minute to turn on the air so the room was uncomfortably hot. I wish I was able to post my video. Save yourself the disappointment. read more

Ignoring covid protocols and not returning the client's money when asked to reschedule since they legally cannot have their wedding; telling the client to illegally hold their wedding or they won't get the thousands of dollars back they had put for their wedding. I just got back from a fantastic reception at Celebrations and I am kicking myself for not taking pictures. I just assumed, since it was so very nice and professional, that t would have already been reviewed. More the fool me. I wikk post pix from their website that look like where I was. Celebrations is a very large venue (tonight there were two pretty big weddings: ours and the one next door-- which looked to be even larger). If you are willing to pay for it, they really go all out. The first half hour was a butlered champagne mixer (regretfully, it was Asti, however), the next hour was a cocktail hour. Bartenders were fast, pleasant and on point. They had a ridiculous spread-- this wedding was half Irish, half Puerto Rican, and boy did the hors d'oeuvres accurately reflect the different tastes! And they were exceptional. Not to mention they had waiters floating around with all kinds of delicious finger foods. They even had two kinds of caviar and mashed potato martinis available! The dinner and dancing were great! The food was spaced out nicely, waters were kept filled, plates and empties cleared almost immediately. The space was really very nice. If you ignore the 90's decor, it was a beautiful place to have a celebration. The outside of the venue includes a pagoda under which one can be married, but also a winding set of gardens with gazebo and interesting waterfall (it actually looks likea war memorial of some kind). The staff were professional and friendly, and were frequently found doing things that seemed above and beyond. I can't actually speak to how expensive this reception was (though I could certainly ask my cousin when he gets back), but knowing how rough it can be to find a good place to celebrate your love with friends and family, I have to say that Celebrations is a pretty good choice! read more

Horrible!!!! The customer service deserves a zero! I have Officiated many weddings but never have I seen such a display of disrespect and lack of concern for the Bride and Groom. I always get to the venue early in order to make sure I am prepared to receive the Bride and Groom. In this instance there was no way I could accommodate my clients. The facility booked another wedding too close to the scheduled time of my clients wedding. When I arrived, it looked like a herd of people ascending on our cars. there was no where to park and no one to speak with regarding the obvious overlap in weddings. I do many weddings a year, and always consider my clients when booking. If I have several in the day I leave enough time in between so that everyone feels like they matter. I will never recommend this place to my clients. These Clients deserve their money back. I plan to put this on google in so if you take this down, it will come up again. Do better for your clients. I am very happy with the service me and my now wife received at celebrations. As someone who works in events I can say that the service was immaculate. Marie Elise helped us through the process of planning and was wonderful to work with. Our wedding served the chicken franchaise and the vegetable lasagna. Most people ordered the chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly and delicious. The lasagna was also good but the chicken was the best thing we had both at the wedding and at the tasting. Our captain coordinated everything very well on the day of to make sure our ceremony went off without a hitch and our personal server kept my glass full the entire night as requested. The only thing to note is the contract. Please read your contract as it states that any deposit and any payments toward the event are completely non refundable. I was shocked to hear this as it's not standard practice where I work but it's the only caveat. Just be aware once you're in you're in. Get wedding insurance (it's cheap) as a just in case. Other than that the service was wonderful. They did a great job and everyone keeps talking about how wonderful our wedding was! read more

So to start things off, I got married and used Celebrations for me wedding reception venue. The venue is gorgeous! The staff is open and welcoming. I got married 2/25/18. Leading up to the reception, during our tasting, we were told they would have "Top Shelf Liquor". We know a lot of places don't have Ciroc, so when we were told they would have Grey Goose or Belvedere, we were happy with that. Unfortunately that is not what we got, the vodka they had I was told from the bartender was "like" Tito Vodka. Tito's is not top shelf and something "like" it certain is not. I was thinking maybe they just didn't have top shelf vodka, nope, they didn't have any top shelf liquor. They had 1 bottle of black label and it was only half a bottle and done with 4 drinks on the rocks. They actually didn't have any liquor on display, except beer, you had to have a full conversation with the bartender to see what they had, because every option was a "no". I am extremely disappointed that we were promised top shelf and did not get what we paid for. I also didn't like the fact that my reception and another reception was occurring at the same time. There wasn't just my guests there and I could hear their music through the night. Since my reception was the last for the night the staff was vacuuming when I was leaving. I didn't care for that either. That should be done when there are no patrons left in the building. Sorry for the rant. Cynthia was amazing! She was my maitre'd. Anything that I needed she provided. I just wrote a 5-star review for the location at which we ACTUALLY held our wedding. We initially chose Celebrations as our venue for just the ceremony because the location is very VERY beautiful. We met with the staff and decided to make a deposit for both the ceremony and the reception that same weekend since they offered as a good deal on that package. Plus, as I said, the location is SO pretty. A few days later, I received a phone call where I was informed that they had double booked our wedding date for the reception hall and would not be able to host the reception. They suggested doing it the next week, but we had already sent out our Save the Dates. As I said before, we had made a deposit to hold the location for that date. We had also gone through two Celebrations personnel in the booking process, which to our reckoning should ensure some kind of confirmation that the date was vacant. Needless to say, we were very upset, but decided to take our business elsewhere. When I called back to inform them we wouldn't be needing their services, they actually seemed to be shocked that we didn't want to use them for at least the ceremony. But why would we use a business that made such a drastic mistake? It's just my speculation that whoever had the date, whether before us or after us, offered more money for the deposit, or had a package deal that was more valuable to them. I could obviously be wrong, but either way a business will always put itself first. We took this to be the bottom line and decided to move on. Everything works out for the best though because we were able to hold our wedding at another facility in the area and keep our wedding date. read more

My fiancé and I went to take a tour of this venue. Because of the weather we were. An hour late, when we got there Marie introduced herself. She was very rude. And basically suggested that we should not have a wedding there. Our date was already booked and didn't not try to even consider working with us on a different date and pushed us out. This review is for the party bus my sister rented through celebrations for her wedding. Her reception was at celebrations and I'll review that separately, but I haven't seen a ton of mentions of the party bus experience, and I wanted to call it out- it was stellar. The bus itself is nice- it's like a huge limo. We could control the music from the back, and there was plenty of room for the 15 people who had to get in there... It was also super neat and clean, and just like you'd expect- dark and fun. However, it was the driver that I was most impressed with. All the weddings I've been in, I've never seen a driver do what he did- He came into the church with us, got people moving in and organized in the back of the church. He got the bride from the limo (which he wasn't driving) into the church- then he stood in the back and closed up the doors and directed guests who were late around the side soas not to disturb the procession in or the mass. After the church ceremony he was on hand with the photographers moving folks around for pictures and holding umbrellas (it looked like it was going to rain)- and he did the same thing at the park- which was our next stop... I've never seen a driver juggle a bunch of umbrellas, usher kids out of the pictures and then get everyone loaded and unloaded in a timely manner. It was, in my opinion, well above and beyond what we expected. He was tremendous. Highly recommend the party bus for events... It was far better than anything else we could have booked. read more

We have booked this venue for our upcoming wedding in November 2018. So far the entire process has been seamless. Marie Elise and the competent staff at Celebrations make what could be a stressful planning process, easy. We just completed our tasting and couldn't be happier that we chose Celebrations. The tasting area was set up similar to what would be seen on the wedding day and the food was delicious. Following the tasting, Marie sat down with us and answered all of our questions about the food, the reception, and everything. She is a true treasure to Celebrations. All of the staff is great. If there were any issues, I didn't know about them. From getting ready to the ceremony to the reception. The staff assigned to you know their stuff. DO NOT do give your money or do any business with Celebrations wedding venue in Bensalem--save yourself the headache and stress. The owner, Frank, is not trustworthy. He is refusing to return tens of thousands of dollars to my family even though the wedding event we had scheduled cannot legally be held in Aug 2020 due to Gov. Wolf's orders. He initially threatened us telling us we could not reschedule the wedding for 2021 and that we would lose tens of thousands of dollars we had already paid as a deposit if we wanted to reschedule due to COVID. My parents are seniors and he did not care at all about potential health risks--he does not care about clients, only money. This venue will have no problem keeping your money and dodging your phone calls, emails and texts. I urge anyone who is looking at this venue to please think again--it has been an absolute nightmare! read more

Attended 2 weddings at the venue this past summer and while the atmosphere and surroundings were okay, the overall appearance of the venue did feel a bit dated. In any event, the ceremonies were nice and ran seamlessly. The staff was polite but the 2 stars are for the food. I left hungry both times.. thank god for the cake or I would have passed out seriously- other than cheese and crackers.. few things were even close to being edible. To me, food is an important part of a wedding reception... I hope the weddings are dirt cheap for what they provide. read more

My company had our Annual Recognition Dinner here, It was such a beautiful event. They catered to use from the front door all the way to the sit down dinner. Celebrations is very beautiful and elegant on the inside. I can picture have many events there especially weddings or birthday parties. My company paid for open bar serve for the first hour of our event. The drinks were pretty solid, the appetizers was great. The only compliant I do have is when they serve us for the sit down dinner the food cold. Very nice venue for multiple weddings. There were two weddings that took place while I was attending a wedding. Plenty of parking - easy to find - Cocktail to Formal Attire desired in this venue. Anything less would look very out of place. Open bar with appetizers in one room - plenty of space with high and low tables for guests to sit or stand. Ballroom can be adjusted for the size of party. DJ position was great! It was away from the tables and not blasting in your ear while sitting next to it. Food for the appetizers were good. I was not impressed with the meal itself. Denise was our server and frank ( the owner ) stopped over several times and introduced us to our menu/selections. The food was AMAZING. The best part was the cheesecake which was the best I have ever had. Not only was the food great but they are trained in fine dining. From serving from the right side, to the positioning of each plate, to clearing plates without making sound demonstrates their knowledge and attention to detail. I've been here twice for weddings. I went to one last year in November as just a guest. Everything was beautiful. They have a gorgeous outdoor part with a beautiful gazebo that has steps leading up to it. It is great for photos. The lobby you walk into is gorgeous with big chandeliers. It's such a clean and elegant look, like nothing I've ever seen at other venues. It honestly reminded me of a wedding I went to in Manhattan a few years back. I was early for cocktail hour but was still greeted with champagne in the lobby. There was tons of amazing food for cocktail hour and the wedding reception itself was done right. We were at a table of old friends of the bride so I was expecting to sit somewhere in the back but our table had a great view of everything going on (so I'm assuming all of the tables did) and we got great service all night. There were 2 bands ! Such a fun night ! The second time I was there was just a few days ago and I was in the wedding. Same great staff as last time throughout the entire night except I got to experience the awesome bridal suite and VIP treatment ! After we took photos at the gazebo we went up to the bridal suite which was huge and where drinks and food were waiting for us and we had our own personal staff member named Jesse that was super sweet and was there whenever we needed her. The bridal suite was above the lobby so when the bride and groom came down to greet everyone it was like a grand entrance down the stairs which was pretty cool and added to the elegance of the place. In the bridal suite there was this beautiful chaise lounge that the bride and groom took pictures on. They are my favorite pictures of the entire night I think ! It looked like something out of a movie. As far as the reception itself, the food was surf and turf and the dessert table at the end of the night also had a breakfast bar which was delicious. For cocktail hour, they had all of these different stations like a pasta, seafood, Italian and and Spanish stations. They also had a section that had philly favorites like soft pretzels and cheesesteak bites. There was a beer ice sculpture too ! The food choices and the way it was presented really let the bride and groom's personalities show through. The room was set up much like the first time I was there which was great and looked like everyone had a good view of the events happening on the dance floor (cake cutting etc). I know that I got on Frank's nerve with all of the calling and questions, but he made me feel like no question was too small. All of our guests had a great time! The food was great & I have to do a review for the bakery that did our cake.....it was gorgeous & good! Our day was beyond special & definitely memorable! Thank you! I would strongly advise against booking your events here. The owner is refusing to return payments (thousands and thousands of dollars) made in advance for events that were forced to be canceled because of the covid-19 pandemic. A Governor's order literally prohibits this venue from holding indoor events for more than 25 people and yet the owner is refusing to return $15,000 already paid for the event of 200 people. He cannot legally host this event, but is still refusing to return this money. Every other vendor associated with this wedding was completely understanding and returned all upfront money paid. Do not choose this venue which will end up ruining your event, taking your money, and requiring you to file a lawsuit to get it back. read more

Not recommended. Even before they gave us our price, we told them in advance that our guests are big drinkers, and they said they got us covered. Not even midway through the wedding, they stopped serving us alcohol, even though no one was intoxicated and we were not ordering shots; they even said no to the bride and groom in front of guests, which is absurd and disrespectful. We also upgraded the steak entrees and specifically asked for them to come out pink on the inside. All of our guests said the steaks were completely overcooked. I have used Celebrations twice...once for a wedding reception, and most recently for a surprise retirement party. My family & I were extremely impressed with the wedding reception and even now, 7 years later our guests still rave about how amazed they were with the facility. I don't know what was so different about this time with the surprise retirement party, but I was blown away by the service we received and how personable everyone was. My party was handle by Denyse and I do believe I have made a lifelong friend by working with her. I arranged this party from out of state and it still went off without a hitch. On the night of the party, the entire staff was just as excited as I was and did all they could to make our event a success. Thank you to Denyse and Kelly for making sure mom had no clue until everyone yelled 'SURPRISE' when she walked thru the door!! The doorman was even in on it!! Planning a surprise party AND being the surprise guest was very exhausting, and the Celebrations staff made sure I was taken care of ALL NIGHT!! My fiancé and I are getting married at Celebrations in October 2018. We looked at tons of venues before we FINALLY found Celebrations. Right from the start of our first tour of the venue we were impressed. The venue itself is beautiful and Marie Elise (and all of the staff) is amazing!! The chandeliers and the gardens are simply gorgeous. The process of planning your wedding at Celebrations is everything I hoped it would be - stress free and enjoyable. They personally sit down with you and walk you through each step and can assist with helping you make the best selections for your day. Marie Elise is one of a kind, and you will not find someone who truly cares about your special day, as much as she does anywhere other than Celebrations. The food tasting was great! You choose entrees you're interested in tasting and if you're lucky you'll be served by the lovely Derek and Patricia. Be prepared, this is not your average banquet wedding food, the flavor or their food is out of this world. We chose the chicken sinese and tre filet mignon to serve at our wedding - they are both absolutely delicious and bursting with flavor! There are so many details and steps to planning a wedding, but with the team at Celebrations being so knowledgeable and helpful it makes the planning process that much easier. Almost a year ago I had my wedding here and I can still remember it as if it were yesterday. The way I envisioned my wedding to be is how it was....even if I was 1-1/2 hours late. The staff at Celebrations did not skip a beat and even incorporated alternatives when we could not do as we had planned due to the lateness of the bride (me). I am a very detailed and organized person and although my day did not go as planned (but really...what bride's day goes as planned), my wedding ran like the production I expected it to be. I also loved the value my, now, husband and I got for the money we spent. I absolutely do not believe you will find any other facility that includes so much in their package for the prices they are charging. I just has my wedding at Celebrations on 11/22/14. From the time I got to the venue with my bridesmaids we were treated very well. The captain that was assigned to our wedding was a sweet heart and kept me updated on what was going on in the lobby area before our ceremony started. Marie Elsie was the biggest help with all the planning for our special day. She is very personable and made us feel like she was part of our family. The food was absolutely amazing from the cocktail hour to dinner. All of our guest came up to me and my husband and saying how gorgeous everything was and great the food was. They made sure from beginning to end of my wedding day that I had everything I needed. The bridal suite was so pretty and big that it gave me and my bridesmaids enough room to get ready. The one thing I liked the most was that our bridal suite was locked during the whole reception so none of us had to worry about any of our things. My boyfriend and I attended a lovely wedding at Celebrations Thursday evening. Yeah you read that right: Thursday. I read somewhere (probably on Celebrations' website while looking for directions) that Thursday is the new Friday for weddings now. Anywho, the wedding ceremony was outdoors but the ceiling fans kept us cool. The sound system was great as well. Later, we were escorted into cocktail hour where there were ample tables, lots of food and an open bar. Open bars are always nice but the bride and groom's signature drink, which tasted like red velvet cake, was an added bonus. The main dining area was beautiful. The bride and groom had an elevated sweetheart table, which was a nice touch; most attempts I've seen at the sweetheart table end up having the bride and groom tucked away in a corner of the room. My only gripe was the way the dinner courses were staggered. Most guests wanted to get the party started so by the pre-entree palate cleanser (read: lemon shaved ice which confused a few guests) at 9 pm, many guests were already on the dance floor. The DJ had to awkwardly keep steering them back to their seats with an "OK back to the formalities...." One guest at our table thought she'd gotten the wrong dish and the waiter stated curtly "the chicken is what we had down but I'll see if we have more filets in the back." She ended up declining because he "didn't seem eager to help." A manager did visit most tables and from what I saw the guests seemed to like the decor and food. All in all, Celebrations is a solid venue tucked away in the middle of a residential neighborhood. Look for the sign or you just might drive right by it.
