Opal Fields provided my family with exceptional service! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a pleasant and memorable shopping experience. My parents and I were looking for opal jewelry to commemorate my parents' 45th anniversary (and first trip back to Hawaii since their honeymoon!), and Jamie and Jon helped make this a reality. They were knowledgeable about each piece we viewed, and shared helpful insights and patience throughout the process. We purchased a beautiful Ethiopian opal pendant, bracelet, and earring set, which my mom absolutely loves for its fine craftsmanship and gorgeous iridescence. read more

I recommend this store to everyone. Last month, I bought two unique pieces of jewelry from the store for a very unbelievable price .The more important thing it was their professional and friendly relationship with me and my husband . The price was a lot more less than The other store for the similar pieces. I bought an 18 K diamond brooch and an Italian design necklace. The pieces are very pretty and elegant. I'm so happy for my experience with them please before buying any jewelry just go and try them. I promise you, you will never regret it .if one more time I go to this island for sure I will go and meet them again even if I don't buy anything. They are very kind and respectful . Tom and Jon, if you see my review, I want to thank you again and again. Nurit Z. read more

A wonderful jewelry shop in the heart of Waikiki's International Shopping Center! Big thanks to John, who was so attentive and engaged, but not overbearing, while I was browsing for a birthday present for my mom. Clearly very knowledgable, John shared great insight on tasteful pieces that were reasonably priced. He even offered to clean my engagement ring and wedding ring for free! Great locally owned jewelry store for everyone, from jewel enthusiasts to casual shoppers. read more

Thanks Jami for an awesome and educational opal viewing experience! Saving my money up for one of these gorgeous opal pieces

Strolled by and was taken in by the beautiful pieces in the window display. Once inside it was hard to leave. Jon and Thomas were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable and I learned all about opals, along with some sparkling wine which was a very nice touch. My husband Aiden was exceptionally impressed and we didn't leave without adding some pieces to our collection. They have many rare and one of a kind items that make this spot even more intriguing. We are now huge fans of opals and it was an unforgettable shopping experience. This spot is truly a hidden gem, no pun intended. One of our new favorite places. Also no high pressure to buy which fits being on the islands. We will definitely make this a destination on our anniversary next year. read more

The selection of jewelry is high quality, artistic and unique. Relyn is a knowledgeable and experienced jeweler. She helped me with a purchase of a beautiful gold bracelet representative of the Hawaiian experience. The proprietor Tomas has a vast knowledge and expertise in precious metals and jewels. He facilitated my purchase of an earring to match one that I lost. They had great sentimental value along with material value. He did this for me at a very reasonable cost.. I've known this jewelry store for several years and highly recommend it and the staff.. The jewelry selection is magnificent. read more

I wish I had a before photo to show the difference... My rings take a beating and they were looking really worn. Tom restored them beautifully with cleaning, polishing and rhodium plating. Opal Fields is a wonderful jewelry store! For my b-day I was gifted a beautiful emerald cut diamond from my mom. She recommended to have the setting done at Opal Fields, she has been a client of Tom (the owner) for over two decades and counting. My mom had several pieces of her jewelry repaired, altered, sent a Rolex off for maintenance as well as purchasing additional one of a kind pieces for her jewelry collection. I considered a few online companies for the setting. However, this proved to be difficult since I already had the diamond. Buying online does not ensure the setting would fit. Online companies mass produced their settings. In addition I would still need to hire someone to set the diamond. Talking to Tom and his new associate Jon, about making a new setting, the steps to have it made and being given a fair cost comparable to online prices, I felt it was better to have the ring set with Opal Fields. This would also allow the company to maintain the ring for years to come. The ring setting and diamond came out absolutely beautiful. As you can see in the images. Opal Fields actually cast the platinum twice because the first setting did not fit. Instead of forcing the diamond to fit the setting and risk fracturing the diamond, they recast the platinum and ensured the diamond and setting fit perfectly. I love this ring and I never want to take it off!!! Consider Opal Fields if you are looking for stunning pieces outside the typical and something close to the Aina. Thank you Tom and Jon for the excellent service and my beautiful ring. read more

Fake Jewerly. i purchased from Tom a ring for my fiance. He first overcharged me like crazy but i thought hey, since we're in waikiki hawaii, why not? i surprised my fiance with the ring which she recently just tested that the ring was fake. i had trusted the location but this is just wrong. i tried to contact the store but the phone doesn't even pick up. i got scammed $30000 dollars and now i can't even get a reply. I hope this place gets shut down so no one else has to go through what i went through. Tom needs to be in jail. read more

First and foremost, Tom Wheeler, Owner of Opal Fields is an honorable and experienced jeweler. Initially, I made contact with him to provide words of encouragement, after an unfortunate robbery at his beautiful jewelry store. After our initial conversation I realized I needed my watch repaired by a certified Cartier dealer. He oversaw the safe delivery, repair and return of my watch. I also had a vintage turquoise amulet in need of a strand of pearls. Tom has on sight designers who fashioned a clasp and he also had some of the finest strands of pearls to choose from. I made the purchase of pearls I have wanted because he had proven to be so knowledgeable. It was an unfortunate event that brought us together as client and business owner. But, it is his great service delivered with integrity and efficiency, that makes him my present and future personal jeweler to trust. Mahalo Tom! Helen Nahoopii Waimea, Hawaii read more

Was looking for a place selling Denny Wong sunrise sea shell themed jewelry . This was the placed recommended by the Denny Wong customer service. The box he gave was only for earrings with backings. read more

this spot has some serious issues!!! i came in looking for a necklace, and the guy with long hair and glasses, didn't want to show me anything. is it because i was dressed casually?? he showed me a few options but there wasn't anything that popped out for me. i said i'll keep looking around till i see something i like he said: come back when you get more money i said hold up, what'? did you really just say that to me? he then said take my card when your not a broke asian this place is RACIST and shouldn't be in waikiki. Fuck you opal fields. no one should spend money here!! read more

I bought unset stones on a recent trip. Tom created the most perfect pieces of jewelry from these stones. The opal is now a pendant. It's perfect.. The setting only enhances the stone. All you see is the opal. Just what I wanted. The moonstone ring also has a plain yellow gold setting to let the stone speak for itself. Tom is not just a jeweler but an artist with impeccable taste. I really can't say enough good things about his skill and his attention to my own taste and requests. Aloha Tom and thank you. read more

Tom is amazing at what he does and was very patient with me. Took his time to go over all the details of each jewelry. Awesome service!

Where do I start? They have a great selection and a very nice staff. Helpful, but not pushy. But their best quality is their honesty and willingness to help. My wife and I were visiting Hawaii on vacation. She put down and mistakenly left her Louis Vuitton shopping bag behind and didn't notice until we got back to our hotel and were headed to the airport. She thought she'd removed all of her IDs from her old LV wallet when she put it in the LV bag and had no idea where she'd lost it in Honolulu, so we figured it was gone forever. A day later after we got home we were contacted by one of the employees who said they'd found it with an old biz card of my wife tucked inside and they were shipping it back to us here in Arizona ASAP. Now that is honesty and great service! Great to know there are still good people in the world. read more
