I hadn't been to Oxford in almost a year so this restaurant was new to me but being a fan of greek food I had to try it! The inside was gorgeous and the outside looked great too! We had so many delicious things to eat and drink! The bloody mary was so good and so were the mimosas! To eat we ordered the pita chips with a different array of sauces and steak, chicken and shrimp kabobs. Everything was so delicious! I'm very glad they opened this place in Oxford! read more

This was a great spot to grab lunch. My son and I ate here after his orientation at Ole Miss. The hummus was amazing and the gyro was delicious. The staff was friendly and attentive. We will definitely go back when we are in Oxford visiting my son. read more

Opa! - Greek Near Me - Oxford, Mississippi

I don't want to leave a bad review I like (most) the food I get here. But holy hell. The gyrorolls or what ever are the worst dish I have everechanged money for. You would have to pay me legitimately $200 to eat the whole appetizer. But the regular gyros are good. read more

I had lunch earlier today at Opa! and thoroughly enjoyed it. My waiter was attentive. The Greek salsa and the veggie gyro were tasty, and the ambiance was to my liking. I would recommend it. George read more

Once again, disappointed. Ordered through Fetch and the order was wrong, yet again. Was told I would have to contact Fetch--no, it was not their fault. Put through to the manager who accused me of having attitude. Never ordering from them again. Lots of restaurants in Oxford and don't need them. Replacement food arrived an hour later. So salty! Another reason to not order from them again. read more

Awful! After waiting 20 mins for chicken kabob to be cooked. Server came and said she needed to take it back as the chicken was from the wrong batch. I asked what that meant and she said it's about to expire. My daughter had already eaten some and said it tasted awful and couldn't eat it. Will not be returning read more

I've tried several things and it always leaves me unsatisfied. I have tried their chicken in different ways and in different days. It always tastes old and re-cooked. Their rice is greasy every time. read more

Food is amazing. Service is spectacular. The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming.

Amazing food! We have gotten take-out on two occasions, when we have been in town for a function, and the food is consistently excellent.

Great setting. Friendly service. Good food. I think some of the bad reviews were due to new restaurant growing pains. Good place.

A Greek restaurant that doubles as a sports bar. Servers did their job well and there is a cool fountain area in back. Food was underwhelming but good enough. Good place to go every once in a while. read more

This place is a must on your next trip to Oxford! It's just off the square. The food was delicious and the portions were huge!! We met the owner-he epitomized southern hospitality!! All his sauces are homemade, and the food is perfectly seasoned!!! We will definitely be back often!! read more

Extremely poor quality control. 1) They put bad lettuce on my wrap and gave me food poisoning. 2) The staff isn't very understanding of food allergies. The waitress didn't want to ask the kitchen about ingredients, and the kitchen didn't check for ingredients when she finally asked. read more

We walked in during the dinner hour closer to 715. We watched an employee hit their vape and exhale in front of the kitchen area where food is picked up. That is absolutely disgusting. Take a break if you need a fix. read more

Service was ok. Nice ambiance. I got the lamb chops with garlic mashed potatoes and Greek green beans. The lamb chops were cold, mashed potatoes were over salted and so was the green beans. My drink, his margarita and appetizer, Gyrolls was the highlight of my night. read more

I've eaten here a few times, and the food is really good. I've tried the regular gyro, the ham/cheese gyro, and the gyro-bites appetizer. The food was good and service was quick. The bar seating and back patio is the reason I'm giving it 5 stars. It's a killer location to hang out on a sunny afternoon. read more

I absolutely love the food and the service is normally great. However, I have experienced a hostess refusing to walk me to my table during double decker weekend, which is the bare minimum of their job description. read more

Food is average, not worth the hour long wait to get served. Very disorganized and not polite either, a recipe for poor rating. I hope the owner reads their reviews, it seems very consistent with other reviews. read more

Good food, poor service. We came when the students were gone, 6ish with one child- near empty restaurant. Waited a good 3 minutes to be seated. No one looked like they worked there, not dressed uniformly or acted like they wanted to be there. One employee watching TV or on their phone the whole time. Took my beer away with a third left and took 15 minutes for dessert to arrive. I really liked the atmosphere and food, so I hope the service improves. read more

the bartender was not trained and completely ignored us until every older person was served before us ( we are 22). she did not acknowledge us whatsoever and acted rude when we asked for 2 simple coors lights. we waited 17 min before she even approached us just to get beer. they need to train and better staff their bar. she checked our ID's, came back 15 min later and asked what we wanted to drink. that is not the service i expected from a restaurant on the square read more

If you want Greek food, better head to Volta. The servers were good and friendly but the food left a lot to be desired.

We had an appetizer- gyrolls- which were amazingly delicious! The dipping sauce for the appetizer was fabulous. We also ordered the steak kebabs and a large Greek salad, both were delicious and amazing. The steak kebab was tender and cooked to perfection with spices that were unique and flavorful. The atmosphere is enjoyable and casual. We will eat there again! read more

Service by Jessica was good , lamb gyro had great taste but portion was on the small side- same with the sides. Tables are super sticky.

After having worked in the restaurant business for years, I should have known better than to go to a restaurant at 4:00 pm when staff is typically "checked out," on break before dinner. I sat at the bar in the back and actually had good service from the day shift guy and then the night shift guy. However, the food was not good at all. I got the lamb chops, which were thin (I would have rather had fewer chops that were thicker). They were overcooked after I asked them to be "medium." And the rice pilaf, which I asked for instead of potatoes, was dried out and crunchy. Very bummed that this place is not better. I'm a huge Grecophile and was excited to try a Greek place in town. read more

I had the Greek salad with grilled chicken which was excellent. Hummus and pita were good as well. I highly recommend and would def go back.

Food is great! Best lamb around and the appetizer are delicious. Great atmosphere on the patio and the servers are always kind and attentive! Our favorite spot for some healthy options but they also have some amazing Greek inspired egg rolls!! read more

This was the worst experience I've ever had in my 19 years on this earth. I cannot believe the service here is awful and cannot get my check right after reprinting it over 4 times. It is sad and it took us 3 hours to get out of this casual restaurant. Whoever is hiring these people needs to learn how to teach them to be competent waiters and waitresses. I mean this is actually sad and I am praying for this business Bc if it keeps on like this it will be closed very soon. Do better read more

Did not read reviews, just saw a Greek restaurant, so headed in with our appetites! About 2:00 on a Saturday- not crowded. (Love Mediterranean food- !) We were seated within minutes by a friendly waitress with a lovely Southern accent. Waters delivered and orders taken within ten minutes.... And then ... the wait began... we weren't in a hurry, and enjoying visiting, so it was okay. It may have been close to half an hour before the pita sampler with three dips came out, and shortly after, the entree salads. ALL worth the wait! The toasted pita triangles accompanied by three dips: 'spanikopita', spicy hummus, and...feta dip...? (Sorry, no photos, so typing from memory)--All delicious!! And the SALADS- we couldn't stop raving about. Super-fresh ingredients, chilled lettuce, dressing on the side- absolutely the best ever! We had Greek salads with gyro meat (choose your protein) in the small $8 size, which was an ample meal. We split a baklava which was not the typical triangle, but two triangles so enough to share, served warm. It was also a bit slow to come out after finishing our entrees, but worth the wait since we weren't in a hurry. We were derelict in not getting photos, but I recommend this place. Clean, friendly, and delicious food at a reasonable price. They also have a full bar. I will look for it next time I'm in Oxford! read more

Food took 1 1/2 hours to come and no one cared. Restaurant was not even half full on Tuesday, Dec. 14. The blandest least exciting food ever, especially when you wait that long. Food was cold and did not taste like anything. Can never go again, service did not care that we waited that long and kept saying the missing food was coming and coming but after the initial 25 minutes (after the 1 1/2 hour food came out) they said it was now cooking. Will never go, worst restaurant experience in Oxford. read more

Disappointing. Food was good it I ordered a Greek salad without meat bc I'm a vegan. It was brought out with chicken. Waiter took it back to the kitchen and instead of making a new salad they tried to just take the chicken off. But of course it wasn't completely off my salad. My family convinced me to send it back again for a new salad after trying to pick the parts of the salad that still had chicken on it out of the bowl. read more

I had such a good experience at Opa! The tomato soup was my personal favorite and I loved the mojito! The place is HUGE. I would recommend for a big group needing a quick bite before a night of drinking on the square. :) I will definitely be coming back! read more

We waited a long time to put our orders in and waited almost 45 min for our food. We could never find our waitress if we needed anything. They had false specials in the menu and I when we went to order it and they said it was a misprint and they weren't offering it. Food was below average. Hummus wasn't good, it tasted like peanut butter. People didn't get their correct order. Wouldn't recommend Opa. read more

Good food. Good Service. Relaxing atmosphere. We tried the hummus trio and it was great. The gyro and the kabobs and both were really good. Lots of food. The girls had plenty to take back and have the leftovers for dinner. read more

The service was fine! But the food was just OK - it's been a hit and miss the past several times we've eaten there. The ambience was lacking. Why not Greek music.... like Zorba the Greek or Theodorakis?? Why not a special evening with Greek dance?? I would love to go to a Greek restaurant and have an experience on the Square. OPA has the perfect potential to do this. Capitalize on your uniqueness and take a chance! We want you to succeed. Otherwise you're just another restaurant down the street. read more
