Just a short walk away are some bars and restaurants and across the street there is a CVS and they have food , drinks and anything else you need. We were definitely apprehensive about staying here but the red roof had just been renovated and was in pretty good shape. Fresh paint, new carpets and a first for me vinyl floors in the rooms. I'm guessing this was to help preserve the rooms since they are in a real snowy place. The bathroom was super clean with no mold or stains, the beds have bed bug covers and no signs of any life. The TV was acting up but once I turned off the power and reset it , it seemed to work fine. Overall for a small town place it's in good shape and clean.

For food items, you'll be better off choosing some of the local restaurants. The room itself is fine & cozy. The WiFi signal was strong, and the first floor didn't have the typical paper-thin walls. No flatscreen television here as of yet, so you'll have to get used to the old style of television here. The one major issue that I had with the room was that the shower tiles had mold within the bottom caulking, which I discovered the next morning. Major turnoff, which obviously affected my impression of the hotel. Not being too picky, but this alone has to change. Overall, the place isn't a terrible option when you consider other local options that may be few and far between in what is available.

The rooms are clean and well appointed. I would not hesitate to stay here again. There's a courtyard bistro on site where one can purchase breakfast etc. One morning I ordered the bistro egg sandwich and I don't think that I'd order it again. The scrambled eggs and bacon on it were very good but the handful of dressed arugula was a little off putting. The bottom of the bun was super soggy and it really could not be picked up to eat.
