Lots of parking at this rest stop and it's very clean, inside and out. Modern decor and decent restrooms. There's a Burger King and Tim Hortons here along with a gift shop. Free WiFi too.

Good place to for a pit stop to go the washrooms or have something to eat or just to stretch your legs from a long drive. The Burger King had funnel cake fries. I think they over cooked them as they were bitter and they could have put more in there for the price. Learnt something from the travel information center about the Slave movement

Compared to the other ONroute stops, this location lacks in amenities. This is a relatively clean, although small rest stop and a good place to stop at for a quick washroom break, but that's pretty much about it. The only things you will find here are Tim Hortons, Burger King, and a small shop for other snacks and drinks. I am overall satisfied with my stop here but I definitely wouldn't say this is an ONroute I would necessarily recommend. If you can, try going to the ONroute stops in Woodstock or Cambridge.

There is a changing area too. Maybe has a shower? Not sure. There is one family/handicapped single bathroom and then past it is the mens and the womens larger ones. They have a dog area. There are picnic tables. Lots of grass. Good selection of vending machines. Lots of benches. Brochures highlighting near by locations and sightseeing opportunities. Nice stop.

I was getting tired of seeing so many decommissioned rest areas and was wondering what was going on here. well, if them are making a bunch of this then okay, long smooth entry into a spacious and well reasoned parking area with separate lots for larger and smaller vehicles and other small vehicles besides and except for coming right off the interstate this sort of almost feels like visiting the library, but with way more potties and snack machines. really hope this is a sign of things to come but I'm not holding my breath. this is ohio after all and - the late james trafficant not withstanding - I'm not convinced the locals understand the appeal of nuance, subtlety, and a bit of good natured scandal. ...but in the meanwhile life and travel are rough.

Looks completely remodeled and so clean. There are changing stations in both the MEN and the women's bathrooms! Hallelujah--dads are parents too and should have access to clean and safe accommodations for their littles. There are also a fee family bathrooms! There are water bottle refill stations as well as traditional water fountains. And it's set up in such a way that you feel like you've exited into a peaceful little glen--there are trees that block the highway, a nice little field of grass and picnic benches. Usually rest stops are so shady and have a very distinct urine scent. But this seemed like a luxury rest stop. Seriously, I have never seen one in as quality condition with as much thought put into its design.

Unlike many of the original rest areas along interstate highways in the Midwest, this location is nestled up and away from the traffic as it passes by, providing a restful intermission from long distance travel. This rest area has one of the older style buildings in the state. Amenities include a pay phone, an outside spigot for water, rest room facilities inside the main building, and refreshments in a little outside vending area. The passenger vehicle parking area is ample, the truck and RV side not so much. Like most of the rest areas in Michigan, this facility is always well-maintained and is open 24 hours / 7 days a week.

If you're on I-94 coming back from a cross-border trip to Canada or traveling from the Port Huron area, then this is likely the first rest stop you'll come across. Don't miss it. It's staffed with friendly locals who'll tell you everything you need to know about traveling in Michigan. Offer advice on the traffic road conditions, the best routes to take to get you where you want to go, and things to see on the way. For those who prefer to wing it, and just see what's available, the traveler information with the maps, brochures and pamphlets can accommodate. It's broken out by the area of Michigan to which you're traveling; or, if you want something that's less geographic-specific but more activity related, there are also sections labeled for hunting or fishing, boating, camping, antique shopping, general shopping, and general activities. Maybe all welcome centers at a state's border are like that, but I don't remember it being quite as simple. Of course there are the requisite soda machines and maps, but take some time and explore the welcome center when it's open. There's always something new to be discovered in every state. Here, they just make it easier.
