Twelve years ago, as a severely underweight 2-year-old, she ran away from a meth house that was breeding her to sell her kittens (crazy story), finding us several miles away at the Yardarm after crossing Kent-Des Moines Road. (The burgers they grilled there obviously smelled really good!) She moved in with us and we took her to Dr. Onorati after we'd been to another vet that we didn't get a great vibe from. As we left with her that first time, Dr. Onorati thanked us for taking such good care of her. The kindnesses continued over time as we brought her back many times for regular care and emergencies - when she pulled a thigh muscle chasing a cat out of her yard like the bad-ass she was, when she cut herself on the sharp barbs of a fence she hopped over, when she got folded into the automated machinery as we lowered a garage door we didn't realize she was lying on top of, and more. She was 8 pounds of sass and awesomeness. Last month she developed a massive infection that did not respond to intensive treatment, and we ultimately made the decision to help her say good-bye. The doctors, the assistants, the technicians, and the front desk folks were all just incredibly kind to her and to us as we navigated the past month and the end. We are so grateful to each of them. As I spent lots of time there, I had the opportunity to witness the attention and care all the animals (and their people) coming in and out received. When our next kitty finds us, we'll be back again. Sending healing love from our too-quiet home to all of you and your sweet furry ones out there.

Very frustrating to take a day off of work and go through the hassle of getting the cats there only to be told they can't be seen. Things like this do happen, so we rescheduled for one week later, only to have the exact same thing happen!! We did at least get a call this time to tell us that no doctor would once again be coming in, but with less than 24hrs of notice. It is beyond frustrating to schedule two different days off of work to make a trip to the vet only to be told that sorry we don't have anyone that can help you. Needless to say we will be going to a different vet, that can hopefully keep up their end of the bargain. The lady working the front desk when we went in for the first failed appointment was at least nice, but beyond that this has been an awful experience.

I had a terrible experience with my dog getting neutered here - I voiced concerns with my dog's after care for DAYS, it was brushed off as normal, he started pooping blood, stopped eating, and couldn't lift his head and they said that's normal here are some probiotics. What really bothered me was that the front office staff would not let me talk to the vet or vet tech, would not let me make an emergency appointment so the vet could get eyes on him - nothing. I had to make an appointment that was weeks out/their next available. The front office staff continually talked down to me and stated my dog was fine and to stop calling. Thankfully my husband decided we had enough of their behavior and lack of care, we took him to VEG ER in federal way where we had a fantastic experience with vets that cared for his well being and his after treatment/follow ups. They were incredible. You don't have surgery and then get NO after care or ability to come in, such as what happened at Marine View Vet. The rudest from office staff I have ever talked to in any facility animal or human. I do not recommend this facility or their staff.

Everything from scheduling, front desk staff, vet techs, vets, email communication and care for our pets has been wonderful. We have a younger dog who requires little care beyond vaccines and check ups; he thinks going here is like going to the greatest dog camp ever and that he is the main attraction/celebrity! Treats and pets in abundance. Our older guy has had some recent cancer treatment for lymphoma (the tougher kind) so we got some initial info here then they recommended us out as we needed a higher and more specialized level of care and treatment (multi-phased chemotherapy). It's also a good time to note that we use Trupanion pet insurance and do recommend that too; it helps us take finances mostly out of the equation when we need treatment for unpredictable accidents and illnesses for our fur babies. Normandy AH is a solid choice for your pet care needs!

Rascal had a open wound for over a year which finally got infected, I was thinking about putting her down as she is 13 years old but my buddy her guardian angel said he'd pay half which I declined but took her in to get treated . I really wasn't into paying for a third operation, but it was well worth it. She's so happy now and I'm so glad to see her that way. Just like other reviews, having been over 1 year, they would need to perform a complete exam. I made an appointment. I heard that Dr Deal was ill and I called the day before my appointment to verify the Dr would be in and confirm the appointment. They had my contact info since they had left messages during the prior week while setting up the appointment. I drove an hour to Saltwater only to be told they had left me messages that the Dr was out ill. I had no such messages, and they tried to claim they didn't have my contact info, but they obviously have my info. I never got into the pricing issues with them since their communication was so poor. They wanted to reschedule, but I told them I have no intention of returning to such a poorly run facility.

When discussing his results and treatment, I didn't feel like things were explained in a reassuring or compassionate way. I also felt rushed when it came time to approve and sign the treatment paperwork. When I got her back from grooming, she was looking like this (video in car). Very little hair on her body, I felt sad for her and almost cried. Her head has a fro and her tail is basically gone and naked. When I came in to get her, I was initially shocked and didn't know what to say. I thought I liked it until I took another good look at her. She didn't even come out smelling good and i'm wondering if her ears were cleaned. This is her second experience getting groomed. The first time was out of state, where I got her and when I was planning on flying back to Seattle, I had a groomer that did a tidy up puppy cut (the photos where they gave her bows in her ears afterwards). She smelled so good after, her curls were still there and her tail had a lot of hair. At the front desk, I asked if there were notes and there were none. I was hoping for an explanation on why she came out looking kind of naked. When I asked for a puppy cut, I didn't think the hair would be cut down this much. The haircut also looks choppy, especially the head part. It isn't even like what I thought a puppy cut would look like. I appreciate the groomer for being patient with this puppy though and took their time on my girl. Hair will grow back. I showed all my friends the video of her in the car and they had the same thoughts I did. I almost cried (lol). Anyway, hair will grow back. I just wanted to leave this review and maybe I should have done more extensive research on groomers. I was nervous to schedule an appointment at all due to it being her second time (first time in WA).
