I was pressed for time and looked on Google for a place that wouldn't take long to complete my inspection. I came across Only Inspections & decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. It took them no longer than 10 minutes to complete my inspection, and that included replacing a tail light that was out. I was so impressed with the quickness, quality, and friendliness of the staff. Failed me for an inspection and said metal to metal on brake pads but my brake pads were just fine when going to another place. Wanting to charge $220 for rear brake pads. Went to a different place and passed never replaced pads. Also find it funny that this company doesn't offer to show you the proof that they need replaced they just tell you. read more

Excellent customer service. Nice facility. Clean waiting area. Simple process. Drop off your keys and registration and you're good to go. Our vehicle had recently been repaired so the repair threw a code and prevented us from getting our car inspection until we had driven the car for about 65 miles to ensure we hadn't just unplugged the battery. We couldn't get our inspection done that day but I still give them 5 stars cause I've been there before and they really are a very good reliable inspection station. They're located in Pineville NC and open Monday thru Saturday. Also worth noting is they're open Saturdays until 2pm. Always efficient and very friendly customer service. As the name implies, Only Inspections does just vehicle inspections for trucks and cars. The staff is very friendly and informative when it comes explaining everything you need to know. The way it works is first come first serves and you wait in the lobby or outside there is seating while the inspectâmes place. The vehicle inspection only takes about 15 minutes but the wait time you experience is due to other people who are in front of you. So, to clarify there is no option for appointments which I understand and they do try to get you in and out as soon as possible. My wait time was about 20 minutes which isn't bad during lunch time. I don't know what the best time is to come in for the shortest wait time, yet it's also convenient because you can stop by when you have time. I would recommend for those that need an inspection in a hurry or just want an inspection and not be up sold on unnecessary services. read more

I've only ever completed my inspection at a dealership (and usually while getting other service done), but this year, I'm already up to date on my maintenance and such... so I came by Only Inspections instead! Granted, I arrived just after opening on a weekday before going to work therefore not busy, but was in and out in under 10 minutes. The lady behind the counter was pleasant, and not sure why some reviews people were leaving bad reviews for that. Maybe they need to learn to be nice to get nice back. Extremely disappointed with the son and Debbie at Only Inspection. I thought they were replacing the wiper blades and not the entire wipers, but oh well I noticed it a few days later when it started raining. I noticed the blades squeaking (see the video) So when I took my wife's car for inspection a few days later I explained that the wipers were squeaky to the owner. He was really nice and asked me to come back on Tuesday and he will take care of it. He said he would kindly take back his wipers back and refund me the money. I thought this was satisfactory although I had to buy the wiper assembly from Hendrick. Well I couldn't make it back until Thursday and then I was confronted with his angry son about his dad's decision to refund me. Then he lectured me about, how I had signed something that excepted the work performed. I asked him why he was getting contentious with me and he just threw his hands up and said we're done here. So I went ahead and replaced with OEM wipers in their parking lot, and then kindly brought the squeaky a/m wipers back to Debbie. Explained how frustrating this is to have the owner ask me to come back, only to be lectured by her son. She said I'm not involved and I said sure you are - you're the mom. After returning their squeaky aftermarket wipers. I think they should be ashamed. Regardless of the lost OEM wipers, their product squeaks non stop. Why would I or anyone go a year listening to that noise and not want to replace or refund? A 10-year+, loyal customer gone. Was a consistent customer here, but never again. Debbie and crew are simply mean the moment you fail a test. My car failed due to tint (bought out of state-had no idea. Also no big deal, went and fixed it.) I was initially surprised, so I asked questions, Debbie and crew just had no patience. Came back to reinspect after fixing tint, and the inspector knew it failed for tint, but didnt ask if it was ok to roll windows down. I didnt think to say anything because there is no reason to roll the window down when you are checking tint! I had just done the windows so needed 48 hours prior to rolling them down. They rolled them down. And screwed up the new tint. Then all of them got pissed off at me, saying its my fault. This business sucks! Debbie was simply rude as can be. Zero apology, zero accountability. Never go here. read more

Vehicle passed easily. The lady behind the desk was rude and abrasive. I handed her a credit card to pay and she stated, "I need your attention for one minute, cash or card." Well considering I handed her a card, that should have been obvious. In this day, customer service, respect and kindness are what drives me to a business. I was able to get in and out within 30 minutes which was a big deal since I had to visit during my work hours and didn't have an appointment. I was nervous when I walked in and the waiting room was full but turns out everyone seemed to be in and out in jif. I was late to renew my registration because, COVID, and when I went to renew I learned I needed a safety inspection. I called around to a couple of local places here in Ballantyne but their appointments were booked out for at least a week. When I called Only Inspections the gentleman assured me that they could get me in and out- no problem, no appointment. I was a little hesitant and figured I would need to wait at least a little while once I was there. Nope! To my surprise there was truly no wait other than to hand my keys and registration to the man at the desk. I stepped outside and saw my vehicle being pulled into the garage. About 10 minutes later, I was walking out very pleasantly surprised! They truly only do inspections so it doesn't slow down the flow. If you need work done you'll have to take that elsewhere. First inspection battery code problems. I had replaced an alternator and power steering previously. Drive car 50-100 miles to reset. OEB came on. Replaced solenoid. Second inspection after 35-40 miles. Drive more. Passed the third inspection. However, unable to start the car. Inspite of a very friendly client with battery cables and the 2 shop technicians the battery could not be jump started. Called AAA. Waited 1 h and was getting hungry. A very compassionate window service agent, Debbie, sensed that I was hungry. She shared a slice of pizza while I was waiting. I waited another 1/2 h and one of the technicians came into the waiting room and asked for my car key. The technician was able to start the car and they said I could go. This was so surreal. Almost like a miracle. The staff did things beyond the call of duty. I have been going to Only(Mr.) Inspections for years. You can see why. It is amazing that my car always starts on the first crank. For 364 days a year I don't even think about this inconspicuous little white building off of Polk St in Pineville, but that one day a year when my auto inspections are required, I'm their biggest fan. This is the only place I take my vehicles to get inspected. This is all they do- inspections. They do not do oil, do not change tires, they do not try to sell you a car.....they just do inspections. Normally it does not take more than 15 minutes or so to do an inspection here, as they do have three bays open, and the staff is friendly. The waiting room is small, a small tv in the corner, and lots of magazines, to choose from. Since it is only a few minutes for the inspection.....it is hard to complain about the chairs, or the limited tv channels, and most people tend to sit outside while they wait. I am glad they only do inspections, it just makes it easy to have the same place do it year after year, without the hassle of someone trying to sell you things you do not need. NCFoodGuy read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. Visited to get a state inspection completed. They couldn't pass it because my tint was too dark. Got the vehicle inspected before so no clue the tint was too dark. They could take it off but Was told to visit their "closeby" partner A1 tint to get it retinted after they take it off. Basically pay to take it off and pay to get it back on. But use their neighbor. Waste of time. Still had to pay them for an inspection they couldn't even complete. So sick of these shady businesses in the business to make money only Update: the sorry owner or whoever decided to reply to a review and say a failed inspection is the reason for my bad review.
