You know if the venue is recommending a DJ they will be good, but Barry was so much better than just good. He met with us multiple times before the event to make sure he knew what we wanted. He set up everything the day of the reception. He had mics available for the toasts on one floor and the complete lighting/speaker setup for dancing on another floor of the venue. We had dancing for around 4 hours and the selection of music was perfect. Barry had the crowd up on their feet, was dancing himself, and created the perfect atmosphere. I have never seen a wedding where the dance floor was never empty. His prices were reasonable. We will be using him for any party we need a DJ at in the future. For us, Oregon was a destination wedding so most of our communications was done via e-mail and phone - including Skype. He was very flexible in terms of how we chose to engage. If you have an exact list of songs, he can execute on that. If you just sort of know that you'd like a bit of pop most people in their 30's would like, he can execute on that. We needed him to bring 2 sound systems, which he did. He also provided some simple lights for the dance floor and extra mikes for the Reverend and for a speech by the Best Man.
