Everybody here was so nice! I needed my stereo reset and they fixed it for no charge, entire staff was very lovely.

TERRIBLE TERRIBLE DEALERSHIP!! Not my first review about them either! They do a half-assed job over looking your car to see what is wrong and then will tell you every week there's a new problem when they barely even looked at it to start with! Had my car stuck in their dealership for almost 3 months with a new reason of what was wrong almost every time I spoke with them! The reason they had my car was because it broke down from a RECALL on the engine oil pump belt and they were the closest dealership. I was told originally it should be covered and shouldn't be an issue. WELL, that was wrong. At first, they told me it was denied by Ford and I was confused considering everything pointed to the recall and they said they would the request again. I even took it upon myself and called Ford Corp. and they said they submit good photos showing the damage there was no reason for the denial because they agreed with me on this sounding like the recall. Oneonta also informed me they do not take down the engine or take it apart to see what the issues are or what is causing issues. I informed Ford Corp of this as well asking if that is a protocol or not and they said they absolutely have to take down the engine because how else would they know where the problem is. So, then I proceeded to tell Oneonta to keep submitting the request with better details as per Ford Corp. After weeks of the request being denied (they only submitted it in twice to Ford) they started saying I had other problems occurring. Now I live 4 hours away so I couldn't know if I did or didn't so I said go through my warranty at this point. My warranty was in the same boat as everyone else but Oneonta on it being recall. The warranty needed a letter from the dealership first stating why is this not a recall issue and they could not provide one or send one! Ridiculous already. They would not speak to my warranty about it either which was mind blowing to me. I was at my wits end being 3 months without a car and having to pay for rentals and Ubers out of pocket almost every day. I had my lawyer get involved because it started sounding like a money hungry dealership who also had no idea what they were doing. I then got an invoice from Oneonta listing all the parts and issues that were wrong and needed fixing.... $8000 they wanted!!! I was able to have Oneonta tow my car down to a dealership closer to me because now I knew for sure they just wanted get paid. The car goes into the new dealership within less then a week its approved for recall and I have a new engine on the way and a loaner car. Complete opposite experience that Oneonta gave me. They were honest, showed me all the paper work submitted and let me know how they submitted everything. Now I reached out for Oneota for a request of reimbursement for the Ubers and rentals from the run around I had to go through with them. They of course denied the reimbursement and stated that the other dealership obviously had a different diagnosis. I got the diagnosis reports from both dealerships to compare. THEY BOTH HAD THE SAME DIAGNOSIS. Now why would one be approved and one will not be? I asked the new dealership if they submitted in photos to Ford to show the belt like Oneonta said they did. They said they just sent the belt back itself to Ford Corp because that was the only way to see the belt and once the belts off and being that damaged there was no putting it back on. I looked at the photos Oneonta submitted to Ford, they show absolutely nothing referring to the recall. They show the back side of the belt still attached to the engine not showing any of the damage to the belt! All because they refused to take apart the engine and properly diagnosis it, yet there was $8000 of damages they were claiming. Weird to claim there is that much damages when you didn't even take the engine apart or properly look at the damages. This is the worst dealership I have every encountered, know nothing and money hungry!! read more

My car broke down on a tuesday while I was picking up my lunch. It wouldnt go into park, stuck in reverse and then wouldnt start. I had it towed to the closest mechanic. The mechanic had given me a hard time about my problem and unable to look at until at least friday. I understand mechanics get busy, however my family is leaving sunday on vacation ( non-refundable). I called Oentonta Ford. First they actually picked up the phone and listened to my problem. I told them my issue and about our pending vacation. They alerted me of a recall on the exact part we believed caused the car to break. He told me as soon as it got there he would diagnosis my vehicle and see what they could do. He said as long as the parts are available and nothing else is wrong he'd get us to our vacation. I had my car towed there but unfortunately it arrived late wednesday night and the service department was closed. The next day I got a call back from Selema. She had told me she would put the car in for the next tuesday. When I told her about the previous call and about the vacation she told me she would call back shortly. The service manager, Scott pushed my car right in to get diagnosed. They called me back told me it was the recall part and thankfully they had it in stock. They had the car fixed up and good to go by thursday night. When I arrived friday morning not only did it start and run again. They had washed her and it was shining like new. I cant thank oneonta ford and all the staff enough for going above and beyond in a difficult situation. My family ( all 5 of us ) will be leaving as planned on sunday. read more

Disappointing to have a dealership take advantage of their customers. It's the Service Department that is detrimental to so many dealerships and yours is no different. A minor lube job on the parking brake takes 5 hours at Oneonta Ford. Why? Because they can soak you for $100/hour to do a 30 minute job. Then they can say it's unsafe to drive away and do the job your self because while doing this intense "5 hour" job they find you need new rotors and pads! Oh it gets better. New rotors and pads on a vehicle they inspected less than a month ago! All while planning to spend the wait time looking for a new vehicle to trade for! You can guess what happens next. NO DEAL FOR YOU! Yes, we got the salesperson involved that promises the world when you first buy. Nope, he can't help you either. You are truly a "One Hit Wonder" Oneonta Ford, but now nobody has to "wonder" why. read more

This is the worst Ford dealer I have ever been to in my life and Ford is all I buy. This is my 3 and final attempt at this location. The first time was for a warranty service. They replaced items they were not supposed to and tried to charge me and told me that I could not have my SUV until I paid. The second time was I was in the market for a new truck and stop to see what they had, they acted like they did not even care I was there. By the way I love my new truck from a different Ford dealer. The 3rd and final time was today when i went to get some def fluid for my new truck and was told that the parts guy was not there and this is a Monday and no one could help me. If you want to get ripped of and ignored this is the place for you. Avoid at all cost save yourself the time and money shop elsewhere. read more

Welcome to Oneonta Ford LLC, where you will be deceived, your car may not be fixed and in fact have to be towed to another facility for proper care and treate rudely by the owner Mr. Richard Pope. Recently moved to this area, had 2017car with aprox 14,000 miles towed to Oneonta Ford LLC. Next business day, was called and told bad gas (unable to correctly test though), but come get your car for you need a new engine and they are not equipped to do the work but first pay $600.00 plus. Had car towed ($75.00), Nowich Ford dealership where a screw is discovered between the cylinder and valve wall. Thus destroying the engine and indeed an new one for over $7,000.00 was needed. How did this go from bad gas to a screw in the engine and a new one needed ?? Oneonta refused to take any responsibility and advised that perhaps screw was in there from FORD. Really, 14,000 miles and car won't start and the screw just fell in ?? As it turns out, buddies should never talk about work... long story short. We were told that the "head" mechanic at Oneonta confessed to his friend that he himself had dropped a screw down an engine. Tried to speak to owner who hung up on the call, only stating Oneonta Ford had done nothing wrong. We contacted the Dept. of Motor Vehicle's, they investigated and guess what, we have received the $600 plus that Oneonta Ford had charged us for nothing and the $7,000.00 plus for the new engine. Seems they saw the light. DO NOT go there for anything. We will never complain about DMV charges again. read more
