I had hardships in my lifetime and resulted into needing a loan. Grace is wonderful! Since this was my first time ever needing financial assistance I had many questions. Grace was very patient and very transparent. I didn't feel like I was being scammed or tricked. It felt like I was being well taken care of. If I miss a payment they call and I learned that being honest is best. Grace has accommodated me many times which is why I recommend this place to anyone in need. Thank you Grace for all that you do!!!! read more

FALSE ADVERTISEMENT!!!!. DO NOT !! I REPEAT DO NOT COME HERE !! I got a loan with these people and paid 500$ extra monthly for a SAFE GAURD INSURANCE The only reason I bought it is because it boldly stated that if me or my co-signer DIES WE WOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY THE LOAN BACK and randomly and suddenly my co singer died a few weeks later unexpectedly. I submitted everything they needed for the insurance claim and they denied me because i don't have access to my close friends death certificate. I am not an immediate family member therefor i have no access. My co-singer planned to pay the loan back to build my credit. Now they have hounded me every single day calling 3x a day sending letters every single day and attacking my credit. It's very unfortunate these people offer FALSE ADVERTISEMENT ADD ONS. read more

I couldn't find the office that actually helped me but wanted to review this establishment and hope that if anyone from OMF can pass this along to the San Jose Office. I was in a jam with literally my wedding in 3 weeks, car note pass due and just about every wrench you could think of thrown our way to make things a just bit more stressful than normal. I spent ALL morning applying for loans and getting denied every time. I took a chance on OMF when it was listed as a lender on one of the redirect pages. I got call back from a Sonia Martinez of OMF in San Jose (5132 Stevens Creek Blvd, San Jose) who was the agent assigned to my application and let me tell you...she is a wonderful Loan Agent. She made this process hassle free and even got me more than what I originally requested. She mentioned she would call me back if I was approved and etc. when I got the second call back and she said I was approved that made day for reals! All I can say is that I had lost hope but when I got a YES from OMF it was more than what I had expected. Thank you Sonia you were truly a prayer that was answered. Today! Thank you as well ONE MAIN FINANCIAL..LENDING DONE HUMAN! read more

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY FOR ANY BUSINESS !!! They are nice to your face, but if you ever run into any kind of life problems and can't pay them, they DON'T CARE. I'm an ICU Nurse and became sick during the middle of the pandemic in 2021, had a very hard time, couldn't pay. They DID NOT work with me or help me. And to top it all off.... they still reported me negatively on all 3 credit reports. Now, I understand I owe a debt. I understand I am fully responsible. But, they claim they will work with you, but turn around and still give you a negative rating, which makes your financial situation worse. This year my car was totaled by a hit-and-run driver. My loan was almost completely paid off by my insurance company, over $5,000, leaving me with a little over 3 payments to get away from this company forever. OneMain demanded I pay my monthly payment that was due a week later. Here I was with a car that needed tons of repairs, and I needed to pay the Salvaged Title fees. I informed them about my situation, and a few months later they sent me a form to fill out for a loan adjustment with a deadline, so, I thought great, this will help..... But, no, it doesn't help. And reporting me to all 3 credit bureaus continues. Our country is a bad financial place right now, many people can't pay for food and gas to get to work. This company will go after you no matter what. Beware. Be Careful. I'm looking forward at seeing this company's financial future.... And I look forward to the day I pay this all off. this place gets a negative 5 stars, don't ever get a loan from these people, complete rip off. i repeat do not get a loan, i had a great credit score once before above 720,these people enjoy ruining lives. some how it sounds to good to be true. i was looking for a great loan in 2018 i thought at the time the rates were low but some how these people got me in a 36% loan. do the math $221.00 a month from april 18 to now i should almost be done with this loan, they said i still owe another $4,200. they are doing fraud and they should go to jail for what they are doing read more

This institution will waste your time. I've applied online and got an approval. I've sent all my documents. Then got numerous calls from Grace (who by the way speaks like a man) verified my information and documents and always place me on hold several times! Ugghh! Then she said that I need a co-signer! WTF? I was already approved then now asking me for a co-signer! Total waste of time! If you plan on getting a loan...word of advice...RUN! and never look back! read more

This "credit union" is a joke. I have been hung up on, lied to, told incorrect information, told I can't pay my balance with another credit card after I was approved and received my pathetic loan amount even though my unsecured and secured loan based on approval was a lot higher. They are THE WORST LOAN COMPANY. ANY 30 YEAR OLDS OUT THERE THAT ARE LOOKING FOR A LOAN TO GELP PAY OFF DEBT, DO NOT USE THIS PLACE. There are other options. read more

True, this place will waste ur time. I was initially approved for $6200 and when I told her I couldn't go to the office right now because I had just had foot surgery she said the decision changed because of my income and now I'm approved for $3000 unsecured or $7000 secured. WTF?! U put me on hold after I was already approved and all I had to do was sign the paperwork and ur decision changed just like that? And why keep pushing a secured loan? I'm not stupid to give up my vehicle title. This people are running a show, not a business. I'm taking my business elsewhere and u should, as well. read more

I had an interesting encounter with Rep (Britney...spelling unsure) the day after I applied for what they said was a pre-approved loan. When I applied, I uploaded all my pay stubs and photo ID. This morning Britney calls to complete the intake interview and told me my loan was pre-approved for the initially offered amount. She asked me to upload the front of my ID again, and a voided check for my direct deposit details. After she received those items, she called to make sure I was available at 12:30 to do the online signing. Once she called at 12:30, she said well, we can only approve you this amount ($3000 less than approved for), and the reason is because you said your net income is this... but it's really this. I declined the new offer and asked to cancel. I then reviewed my pay stubs again, and realize that my reported net income was a lot more accurate than hers. She said they also use YTD... so I stated that it's not based on my monthly net income and rather my YTD. Because what I earn monthly is current and can only go up. She said well you were approved, but just for a different amount. I said well I don't need that so it feels like a denial. Britney may have been irritated by my challenging of how she determined my net income, but I was more irritated that she didn't review my pay stubs that I submitted when applying before she made her first call to me, not after I've been told twice that I was approved for the offered amount. And to think, they solicited me...I didn't ask for them. Reading is fundamental. read more

My husband got a loan from this place and they are very unprofessional. The day my husband got the loan the manager Hector really talk to me rudely because I asked for the paperwork. He said he said he couldn't give the paperwork to my husband and that it's ok to walk out with nothing. I told him my husband just signed a loan with them so they should give them what he signed. He refused and said he was trying to close. I told him we are not leaving until we get that paperwork. My husband during this time had stepped out to the car because his grandmother vomited because she had just token her medicine. Hector acted like he didn't care about his grandma being sick nor care about the paperwork to give to us. When I told my husband that he wasn't going to be able to give him the paperwork that he signed he acted like he owned the place and was ready to cancel the loan. I asked him for his name and called corporate and he immediately printed the loan and kicked us out. This all happened on a Saturday and immediately that Monday my husband went to his bank told them what happened and thank god they gave him the loan and we paid of this loan that Monday. This was the worst business we have ever dealt it's. I'm so glad we went through the bank anyways, so God has a reason for everything. This horrible place was going to make us pay triple the amount back and since we went to our bank we only have a 3% interest now. The costumer service was horrible and I can't believe this man acted in this manner. I wish I could give negative 10 review better yet a negative 100! read more

I got prequalified an approved over the phone after Sydney and documentation they said all I would need to come in to do a sign. Once I got there and an hour later they tried to upsell me on all kinds of different insurances ranging from life insurance to auto and home insurance. When I denied all of the upgrades all of a sudden they had to go into another room and when they came back they told me that in reviewing my loan again, my loan was no longer approved. If you plan to get a loan With them, just know that in order to actually obtain the loan you may need to agree on additional insurances from their upsell. Completely disappointing read more
