I have a totally different opinion about Onemain Financial, Renton branch unlike previous reviews. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. Back in 2019, I was in dire need for funds to travel for a funeral. Jeff, the branch manager was very compassionate and he helped me get a loan to make the trip. Today, 3 years after, I went back to him in need of funds to replace my furnace, and believe me, Jeff came through for me again!! He is so knowledgeable that he's now like my financial advisor, even in matters that do not pertain loan acquisition. I totally recommend!! Btw... Loan initiation fees, (standard fees for all loans) are not as much as mentioned below. read more

No support at all from staff. Once your loan is paid takes weeks for them to settle any funds that are payable to you.

Bad customer service. Dealing with Greg and he didn't explain well on loan I was applying for then I read bad comments on there website/ Yelp about getting a loan with them and a lot of bad comments and that pretty much made my decision. this place gets a negative 5 stars, don't ever get a loan from these people, complete rip off. i repeat do not get a loan, i had a great credit score once before above 720,these people enjoy ruining lives. some how it sounds to good to be true. i was looking for a great loan in 2018 i thought at the time the rates were low but some how these people got me in a 36% loan. do the math $221.00 a month from april 18 to now i should almost be done with this loan, they said i still owe another $4,200. they are doing fraud and they should go to jail for what they are doing read more

My husband spoke with Greg in the Renton office and talked about getting a title loan against one of our cars. We spoke about it after my husband got the interest rate and we said no way. He told Greg we would not be interested in this loan and One Maine Financial contacted my insurance Agent and had them add them as a lien holder on my vehicle even though we never got a loan with them. Never signed anything. Both my husband and I are owners of the car and we never signed a thing. Crooks and swindlers. How can you claim to be a lien holder when we never got a loan from you? read more

This is for the Greensboro, NC Meadowview Rd Office. What a bunch of Dirty people . I was going to be late on my Sept. Payment so when I called to let them know all they wanted to do is offer me more money at their OUTRAGEOUSLEY HIGH interest rates. I actually call and spoke to two different people BOTH giving me the same response about borrowing more money. Either of the people told me that since I have been paying a little extra on my loan and was on time on all my other payments that I didn't owe a full payment for sept. less than half of my normal payment actually. They want to suck you in for every penny they can get you for. DIRTY NASTY and Disingenuous people. read more

I have a current loan with One Main that I opened a couple of months ago. I borrowed $2000.00 and my Finance charge is around $600.00. I applied online and got $3800.00 approval and went in to sign paper work. The loan advisor included insurance without first consulting me and asking if I wanted that option. I informed him that I wanted contract like the current one I have which is basic. He then said it's only $18.00 extra and would benefit me in the event I lose my job. I again said I was not interested. He then stated, "what if your mom should pass away, the insurance would cover your loan?" I was so offended by that being that I am my mother's caregiver and he used that against me. I also noticed the new contract was $3800 with a $2200 Finance charge making me owe back $6000. That was so off-pudding from the current contract I have now. I am so disappointed that I had to decline absurd offer. Definitely plan to pay off immediately and I do not plan to recommend.
