I've done one of these escape rooms and was pleasantly surprised at how great it was! The different clues and locks were very creative and interesting. I'd go back and do another room! read more

Didnt know what to expect at first but it was awesome. It made me think out of the box and it was so cool. I went with two people including myself, which we did not get it. We were halfway there, though at first that we were completely locked in the room but I found out you can leave it whenever you want. The timer was still keep running. the person was so nice you're here on vacation I definitely recommend or just rainy day. read more

Very good puzzles. We really dislike escape rooms where hosts give hints without us asking and this place only gave us a hint when we were stuck on one puzzle. Nice host. read more

We stayed in Lynchburg but were in the vicinity to check out Shenandoah, Natural Bridge and Luray and I usually try to check out the escape rooms wherever I travel if i can! We did the trapped in the 80's room back in October and it was pretty good! The room brought back childhood memories, the puzzles were clever and they made sure it was truly a team approach and interactive! The facility is clean, spacious and the staff is friendly! Be sure to subscribe to their email list- they typically send you a promo code! read more

We had a great time escaping from the Lost Professor room! Lots of great challenges and we were able to solve it just in time! Very clean facility, professional staff, and lots of fun. read more

The rules made it unclear and stopped us from finishing the room and it wasn't set up correctly after the last guest.

So we decided to try this with my wife's family when we were out visiting. My wife and I have gone to some rooms at home and enjoy them. Walking in everyone is very friendly and energetic. We decided on the 80's room, and booked it on-line. Super easy to book on-line! Once in the room the game was on! It was definitely challenging and frustrating at times, but we made it through!!!! With six minutes to spare Ca$h Money came walking out of the room read more

4 of us went. 1 really liked it (that was the detective in our group), 2 thought it was fun and one (me) wasn't a fan in general but that's just a me thing, not indicative of the place. Since I've never been to one before I don't have anything to compare it to but the room was well thought out and pretty neat conceptually. Our group agreed that we would have liked it better if the whole group was us, or people we knew. That's what made it a 4 star experience instead of 5...but we didn't realize it going in and even if we had, we wouldn't have booked the whole room for just 4 people because of the cost. Next time we do one of these, we will take a bigger group. read more

My brother and I are celebrating our annual Escape room weekend (we call it Escapapalooza because we are huge dorks and it embarrasses our spouses) and we were lucky enough to start our weekend at One Way Out. We did The Experiment and The Lost Professor rooms. Both were so good! Fun, well themed, the puzzles were clever and there was clearly love and pride put into their rooms. The staff was really good and it is always nice when staff is comprised of escape room enthusiasts and not just teens looking for summer jobs. We have been to many (too many, it is an expensive habit) escape rooms all over the state and these definitely stack up against the good ones. On top of that they are super cheap; $18 compared to the normal $25 and up. We will definitely be back to do their other two rooms! read more

Wow this was my first time and it won't be my last. The rooms are very uniquely design to keep your mind thinking of the next clue. There are a couple different themed rooms that will give you a challenging time! I highly recommend coming here, no matter if it's yourself or a group it will be a blast. The staff is very friendly and goes over everything to help make sure you have the best time possible. read more

Love this place! All the rooms are so well thought out and challenging!! I've done almost all of them and have yet to feel disappointed!

This is so much fun!! Me and my group have now done 2 rooms. The first one was Baker Street ( Sherlock Holmes) and the 2nd one was Railway Robbery. Both were fun and made you think. I can't tell you anything else about the rooms, except that you and your group of friends need to book one soon! It is also good for companies who want to work on team building, ect. read more

Excellent staff!! They where so generous to give us extra time for The Experiment was hard for 2 players. It was so much fun and challenging! We are excited to retry The Professor was hard as well. The staff was super nice and understanding how can escape room can be frustrating solving the clues read more

I was in town for a wedding and some friends set up a trip to the escape room the following morning. I had done a few rooms in the past in other cities, so wanted to check this one out. Simply put, it was very well done. The puzzles were logical and pieced together well, whereas other rooms I had done did not always make sense. That said, it was still very challenging and took good teamwork to be successful. We used all but five minutes of the allotted time. I'd highly recommend this place. read more

This experience was so much fun! We did the Escape Detention room which was a blast and just challenging enough for 4 teenagers. The staff was very friendly, the place was accommodating (free canned drinks and water) and we can't wait to return to try the other rooms! read more

My fiancé and I were visiting family in Virginia and we tried out the Detention room at One Way Out. We had such a great time and were put in with another group. We all became a team and worked together to try to escape. We did not make it out in time, however we were about 15 seconds shy! We had a blast and highly recommend trying it out! read more
