My kids have been part of this program for over 5 years and the skills they learned are not just martial arts related, but my daughter who was shy and quiet has gained so much confidence and has absolutely grown into a beautifully secure and strong young woman who believes in herself and that she can do anything. My son just excels as well and it has helped so much with his speech issues he had when he was younger. They also have a little dragon program that starts at 4 years old, and my youngest started that. Excellent group of kids and adults there who all make you feel welcomed and included into the karate family! This was very important to me because your kids being surrounded by respectful, hardworking kids help them to do the same. . Excellent friend group!! I also started taking the adult classes- they have a fight fit ladies class which has truly changed my life and helped me become so much healthier! They offer two days of morning classes, and afternoons four days a week. Homeschool classes for kids and Mom can work out at the same time in the women's classes. Grappling, karate, pankration, weapons classes.. there's something for everyone!! Highly recommend all of their programs!!

Extremely clean training facility with skilled training…read morepartners (multiple black belts and upper belts) and a coach, Catlon Martinek, whose equally passionate about Jiu Jitsu and functional learning from fundamentals to advanced techniques. As a member I've grown exponentially under his coaching and have made solid connections with other members that I credit with my growth as well. As a team we've been able to compete successfully at many competitions including IBJJF Worlds in Las Vegas standing on podiums consistently. This gym has made many solid connections with gyms throughout Wisconsin and Minnesota including our affiliate Rebel Jiu Jitsu in Minnesota where we get to test our training weekly against a gym stacked full of high level mat monsters. Club 37 has more veteran competitors than they have beginners so every session is going to give you a challenge whether you are new or even an experienced grappler. Oh and the price, well, it's stupid cheap. This gym is more about brotherhood and clout than it is about the money. It takes commitment, drive, and personality to become a member because that's more important to this family. I think it's impossible to find anything near the price with the level of coaching and rolls you get here. But yeah, come see for yourself.

I've been going here 4 plus years. I was here. When it was golds. I was here when it was eau Claire…read morefitness. Now I'm here as it's the ymca. And my conclusion is that each and every year this place gets trashier and trashier. The constant change of ownership has definitely played a role in its decline. If you want to go to a clean commercial gym stay away. Now you can expect children playing on the equipment. High schoolers hogging bench racks. No one cleans their machines anymore. Half the time they don't even put wipes out or restock or clean the bathrooms. There was crap all over the floors today. Also they don't keep the remotes for the TVs out anymore. I don't want to watch politics. no NFL all year!? Crazy. I could be just being over dramatic. But being a loyal customer for 4 plus years and then raising our rates while this places gets more raggedy. No thanks. Saunas are nice tho. But now it's overpacked since it's the ymca now. I miss og golds.

The instructors are all fantastic! They recently received and updated a lot of their equipment, and always keep the gym in good shape by cleaning. I almost always see one of their employees working on something or cleaning the facility. Once you are done working out, whether it be in the pool, weight section, or cardio cinema, you can stop by the desk on your way out for a smoothie! They are really good, and actually not that high in calories. The only thing that I wish they had at this point is towels, but it's easy enough to bring your own. LOVE Gold's, and cannot see myself ever going to another gym in Eau Claire.
