She let us know what all of our options were and empowered us to feel in control of our own experience right down to the 'adjusting at home' stage. When I went into labor, she came to the hospital immediately and supported us as much (or as little) as we needed her to and contributed to the safe and healthy delivery of my baby girl. We are grateful for her and highly recommend hiring her.

We made the switch from another daycare provider to Next Gen when my daughter was 4. We were both…read moreunsure of how it would go (change is tough!), but looking back I wish we had moved earlier. Next Gen staff clearly care about the families, the community, and each other. The center is clean, the staff fun, and the Directors responsible and experienced. They hold everyone to high standards of care. Sadly, this is the complete opposite of our previous center. Though we have only interacted with some teachers (starting at 4 means we skipped a few classes!), all have been wonderful. My daughter is getting ready for Kindergarten, made fantastic friends, and regularly makes cards for her teachers (just because she adores them). I no longer stress about the care she is receiving, if she will be behind in school, or if the teachers are treated well (phew!). I will note the cost is higher and the hours more limited (close earlier) than our other center. Thankfully, we were able to manage both; totally worth it!

The communication, the staff, the love is beyond my expectations. Director Kim has been amazing in answering questions and Ms.Ally is my sons favorite teacher and has gone above and beyond! I had a bad feeling about this place the second I walked in. I had to use the restroom and the…read moreadult restroom was dirty. Ever since I noticed that, during our tour, I also noticed the rooms that the kids were in were pretty dirty and messy. Grated, kids are messy, but this was a different dirty and messy, like they haven't washed the floor in a while dirty. The newborns were crawling around where there had been food dropped from lunch about 1/2 hour-1 hour prior, It made me really grossed out, plus what if the baby was allergic to whatever was on the ground?! The person we spoke to was nice, and sort of seemed to know her stuff, but gave us some misinformation (pricing info, staff info, etc.). The turnover is really high: 3 teachers leaving all together. That makes me nervous. I couldn't get out of there quick enough. The vibe was terrible. I didn't want to give it one star, but I the location is good for commuting parents.

The testing itself, once you get it, appears to be done well, with competent and friendly doctors and the suggestions that result can be helpful. However, if you have any kind of unique situation, either in the symptomatology of your child, or if the parents disagree about the causes or presentation of the issues present, their approach and systems here are utterly incapable, by design, to handle that. They struggled to handle our bespoke situation and the outcomes of that were harmful for my child. These issues were also frustrating, caused extra costs, and ultimately required external intervention to get the very basic testing required for things beyond the academic testing which was all they initially sought to do. I wish to also second the review that found their billing practices questionable. I strongly disliked dealing with this organization and found the outcomes sub-optimal, more expensive with insurance coverage than simply going to an out-of-network provider would have been and required immense efforts to get issues resolved, some of which never were and that led to further conflict and harm for my child. It felt like my observations or issues were either ignored or disregarded. I regret using this organization.

Happy is an understatement! Since enrolling our daughter in OFLC-Allston 3 months ago, we have had…read morean AMAZING experience. The teachers and staff are all amazing.... Every single one. Sephora was the one who sold my partner and I (and my mother!) on OFLC and we were hesitant because (as all childcare in Boston) it was pricey but we decided that our peace of mind knowing our daughter was being well-cared for was worth every single penny. Dropping her off was hard as with every parent who has ever had to do it, but Sephora personally checked in on her three or four times during that first day and personally made sure she was okay. Our daughter had a hard time with the transition and made plenty of pouty faces at her dad and myself when we dropped her off but she now LOVES it. She is so happy and calm at drop-off. We place our daughter twice a week and when one of our scheduled days falls on a holiday, we can easily place her another day that week so we always get care for the paid amount. Her teacher, Miss Desiree is AMAZING! This teacher goes above and beyond for our daughter. EVERY TIME I come in and she sees I may be nervous about something, she asks me about it, notes my concern, tells me everything will be fine, then writes me personal messages about the baby's progress during the day. It is amazing! The baby loves her. I really can't say enough great things about her. AND about the center. They have even gotten her to NAP! I am convinced that Miss Desiree is a witch with magical baby powers. Leslie, the classroom aide is also so AMAZING and nurturing towards Reese. I can tell my daughter enjoys it when she is around and interacting with her, and she is so kind and warm and welcoming. Since starting, Reese is reaching and exceeding all of her developmental milestones. Her pediatrician is thrilled with how alert and active she is and I know that part of that is attributed to the way the center stimulates her. One of our most important requirements for our chosen care was that they require all staff and children to be vaccinated. Our Future Learning Center-Allston requires that all staff and students be up to date with their vaccines and it really gives us peace of mind to know that when she comes home feeling under the weather, it is nothing a little rest and snuggles won't fix, which is so important given the recent outbreak of measles in this country as of recently. The center is secure and locked down. Only registered family/friends can pick up your child, and you can only access the building by fingerprint registration. They also use their own app (Remini) to send us photo updates on our daughter throughout the day! I could write for days. Parents, sending your children to daycare is SO HARD! I know. But schedule a tour and I PROMISE you, you will see what we saw and now know to be true about this center. One of the best decisions I have made for my baby since her birth. Don't believe me? Check it out yourself!

Ok, so this review is based on my interactions with staff and our first day. I will update my…read morereview after some time. We first spoke to Julie out if the Marlboro location and in comparison to many other local daycares, her kindness and professionalism blew me away. She was knowledgeable and took the time to answer all of my questions. She offered to set up a time for me to visit the Allston location where we will be sending our son, but I declined because I needed time to figure out when would be good. There was absolutely no attempt to hide the cost of the program, which was awesome because so many schools want to meet with you before they give you tuition cost. I met with Sephora in Allston and she is amazing. She is warm, welcoming, kind, and she didn't rush us out or pressure us. I felt like I had known her forever. I immediately fell in love with the space, which includes beautiful classrooms, a nice playground fenced in outside and a huge gym area. The place was clean and beautiful and during nap time, so peaceful. The teachers were so kind, smiling, not a single child upset, not even in the infant room. On our first day today, my son was ecstatic. It was his first day of school EVER and he has only been watched by family members and very rarely. He was so happy and he was following along with the other children eating breakfast and lunch. I couldn't be happier. And the school was so accommodating, in more ways than I can explain. They didn't even attempt to rush us out or anything when we first arrived. We stuck around to make sure he was ok and they didn't seem to mind at all. Even the parents were stopping to introduce themselves and tell us how awesome the school was. It's like a little community. On our way out we met the owner, Lee, who immediately recognized a new face and asked if this was Ben (my son). He wasn't in a rush at all and took the time to chat with us and ask us how things were going and how we felt so far. I imagine with three locations he is a pretty busy guy, but he clearly cares about his school as well as the staff and families. I know it's only the first day, but so far I am amazed and I recommend that others consider looking into this school. It is one of the most affordable schools in the area and they have a flexible schedule and offer fresh meals and snacks, included in tuition. I've been through this before as I have two girls who are 8, and while I feel I lucked out with great schools in the past, this one seems really special.

The staff is always engaging with students, checking-in, and making them feel heard and seen. Waltham Childcare Center is also dedicated to preparing their students for Kindergarten. My son, who will be 5-years-old this October, has made tremendous gains in his social-emotional learning, counting, letter identification and speech.
