Please READ - THIS GIVES HONEST AND EXPERIENCE IF U ARE THINKING OF GOING HERE…read more HOLY LET ME START! THIS IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT IF U ARE LOW INCOME MONEY LIKE ME AND NEEDED COMMUNITY TO TRANSFER or TRY COLLEGE. This was the worst experience of my life and I respect community College so much. I give credit where credit is due and the only thing I can say is at least they kept most places of the building clean. I started community because I needed to go to school but I originally was gonna transfer and my guidance counselor told me to transfer from community cause it was "easier", personally not my case but it does depend on per person. I want to also say I do have anxiety disorder and speech. And severe ocd. I am diagnosed since I was a child. I do take medications. So I was prepared for anything or so I THOUGHT. the first day of school for me WAS awful which I should've seen coming. I was already anxious kid but when I walked in the staff completely ignored me - but I gave it okay because my parent is a teacher I totally understand the stress it was crowded mildly. I asked a question and finally someone told me the direction turns out he took me to the wrong area - then they asked another person who told me to go to point b and IT WAS THE WRONG AREA. getting lost was okay because I knew college was gonna be like that. After I finally founded my orientation station the guy was so RUDE AND MEAN! I tried making small talk like hellow happy first day and he was like yeah not happy for me. Like OK so sorry to bear that and he asked me to sign up for my personal email thing and I was having trouble and basically when I told him he said what are u deaf and took my computer and did it for me but my lord is was so unwelcoming. So I went home with a pit in my stomach. I gave it THREE weeks before I quit and left. Basically when I picked for classes at the meeting class thing. THEY WERE SO UNHELPFUL - first off these grown as women were in front of me acting all high and mighty like ma'am ur 30 I'm 19 please don't act like u weren't 19 before and didn't know anything. Anytime someone asked a question they would snicker and the staff would see and laugh a little TOO!??! LIKE WHAT. THEN they messed up my schedule I told them my major but they didn't tell me I needed to take a math and English they just gave me a few art classes and told me I'm good. Then for finial aid I had no idea about this fee for and the girl there was like well I did mine last year so I can't really help u. Like SCREE U AND FREAK OFF UR THE FREAKING STAFF WHAT RHE FREAK. then my classes started after I managed to get fixed. And let me tell u OMG! u will be lucky if u find some good professors I only found one out of six classes who was SUCH AN AMAZING GUY. HE REALLY CARED ABOUT WHAT HE TAUGHT. my math professor kept yapping about her alcoholic issues and my graphic professor would just assign us stuff and not really teach. I know people say community College is bad and I just want to preference by saying that is not TRUE. there are so many community colleges that are so caring and actually care about education. This however is NOT IT! they were super unwelcoming, you only get stuff done if u literally dominate them. And honestly I know in my classes the way the interactions was so weird like I don't know if some students aka grown ass people and teachers acting like this is high-school. This one girl didn't have a chromebook and this grown ass teacher was like what u can't afford it? Like sir no she can't so what, u can HELP HER?!?! MAKING HER FEEL BAD FOR WHAT??! I excepted some maturity because highschool was the worst but whew i was clearly wrong. Im now in a art college waiting to transfer to a art uni so it worked out for me. Moral of the story honestly NO PLEASE GO TO A DIFFERENT COMMU ITY COLLEGE LIKE NORTSHORE OR SOMETHING. THIS school is so unprofessional. I hope they change and make it better for people who have to go here becahse everyone deserves an education!

I asked him About the terrible reviews on the school and he replied with "ok who doesn't have bad reviews" DIDNT acknowledge the seriousness of the matter of people being scammed, charged, and harassed about their money, especially after graduating. He made a dumb snarky comment because I am on vacation before my classes start, "vacations hit different when you have a career" Lmfao I've never experienced such an unprofessional, invasive counselor. When I called out that behavior and inappropriate comment , he proceeded to say "says a lot about you" Actually Daniel it says a LOT MORE about YOU and "yOuR sChOol" Save your money, and go to a real institution that will take you seriously, and not just use you for you cash.

The beginning of September he still was sitting in the classroom and told to just read the books and take notes, the teacher would just sit on his phone. So a few kids in his class said something to the teacher and the dean that they were told they would be in the lab no longer then 3 weeks after starting school, they were told that the recruiters just say that to get people to insist . A few weeks later my son called me and said he was going to quit because nothing had changed and the instructor actually fell asleep in class!! So I got involved and said that something needed to change!! The next week they finally got in the lab and was enjoying actually being hands on learning how to work on vehicles! Unfortunately to that only lasted a little over a month. The end of November my son finally said he couldn't do it any more, they were back to just reading books and doing modules all the time. He was not learning ANYTHING and paying a ton to do it. I told him to talk to someone higher up and when he did they said "this is how we run this school and we don't really care if you don't like it We feel so lies to and have to pay for months of NOTHING!!! If I could personally tell everyone who is even thinking about going here to run the other direction I would!! Definitely a terrible experience and after reading all the reviews that are so similar to ours, I'm really surprised thia school is even able to be open or have students go there. I feel for anyone that has ever or will ever step foot in this school! They are taking advantage of kids and it needs to stop!

We were walking from the north end after getting fresh pastries from an amazing shop ( See my other Boston reviews) when we saw a small historical sign explaining the history of North Bennet Street School. It was bustling as we curiously peered in. As we continue to walk up to the corner where we spot a sign for an open house at the school. We immediately turned around and went back. The lobby and staff were so welcoming! They got us checked in and answered a few of my questions. They gave us a low down and a map. Each area had us exploring and listening to the enthusiasm spilling from the students. It was really interesting and inspiring. Each presentation was so specialized and well organized. We spent a good chunk of time learning about the complexity of pianos, paper making, hand bound books, architecture and more! Another highlight was talking to an older gentleman who was a first year silver smith ( yes it was super cool) who was putting the finishing touches on a ring just as we walked by. He took the time to show us all of the steps from a rod of silver to the dazzling finished ring!!!! My feedback is that they should a season or two of web series showing their talents to the world. It would also be a great STEM connection for education. So many talents and interesting people in the area. Highly recommended. I'd love to attend a class or two here!

The admissions committee ghosted my student after they completed all the admissions requirements in time for the priority deadline. My student received an email confirming their materials were submitted in time for the priority deadline. Following an interview, there was no notification of acceptance, rejection or placement on a wait list. Zero. Weeks went by, and then months. My student sent emails to follow up, including to the admissions director. Crickets. We parents also contacted the admissions office and director to ask about our student's application. No response to very polite emails and calls. At one point, we got a human on the phone at the admissions office who seemed to be reading from a script, saying they were reviewing applications and would reach out if they needed more info. Six months have passed since the priority application deadline. Still no word -- except that they have the nerve to keep contacting my student with marketing materials. So, clearly they have accurate contact info. Even highly selective Harvard communicates with all applicants to let them know if they're in or out. Yet, NBSS can't get its act together to offer applicants the courtesy of sending a timely rejection email. There is something seriously wrong, in my opinion, with an artisan and trade school that charges $30K a year but treats prospective applicants and families in this manner. In my view, it's a big red flag, and I'd be curious to know if others have had similar experiences.

Steve was great and he made sure that the class was interactive and meaningful for each one of us. Every session, we had fun group assignments which helped us work as a team and build our skill set on that. He made sure that the groups were divided fairly based on our backgrounds. He made sure that all our questions and concerns were answered. All his answers were practical and it gave us a good insight on how things are run product wise in a technical organization. It helped me a lot during my interview process. During the later half of the course, I was offered a job in Product management and I am glad to say that the classes which I took with Steve really helped me during the interview process. Thanks to him and Product School. I also liked the course material and how it was structured. It's quite relevant to the industry. One recommendation I have for Product School is to include more Agile specific material and get rid of Waterfall material as it's getting obscure nowadays. I would highly recommend this course to individuals looking to pivot to Product Management. It was worth the buck.
