Based on previous reviews, we stopped for an early lunch at this unassuming cafe on Route 75 in n route to Topeka. I enjoyed the Tuesday special - a very generous pulled pork sandwich with potato salad. The pork was lean and delicious. The potato salad was good. My husband had the crispy chicken sandwich with excellent onion rings. By the time we left, nearly every table was full so it is obviously a local favorite. The service was friendly, welcoming, and efficient. read more

Small little restaurant in Fall City,NE. It's BLT was excellent. The pot roast is also very tasty. I have had some excellent pies and some that were not so great. The service is great. Do hope to try the biscuits and gravy some Saturday. read more

This is a gem . In town for work and was lucky enough to stop in . Small diner that doesn't have much for signage but packed in anyway. Usually that's a very good sign and this didn't disappoint as service was great , people were great and ild make a drive to enjoy the food again . Had the hot beef sandwich and the only thing missing from perfection was that I didn't get to take a comfort nap after . The small kind of diner you see in the movies where the staff knows every customer. They are cash only, so be prepared. I was not prepared and there for a work reason and needed some coffee and a bite to eat. The staff was so nice, they offered me coffee and a pastry on the house! Who and where does this happen in today's world? Nowhere but here, I think. I said to give me a receipt and I will mail payment, needed to insist. She said a person last week paid extra in case this would happen to people. Wow!! I sent in a check for more than double the cost, and maybe I can help the next person, and if not, they deserve the tip. Just that alone gives them an awesome rating. Can't give 5 stars only because I didn't have much to rate in terms of food, but outstanding service and nice people, that's a wonder in today's world. Thank you! " read more

This place has always been a favorite of mine. It's a small little diner on the corner of the street with wonderful coffee, food and the wait staff is very friendly. First off, the food portions are good sized so make sure you come with an appetite. I haven't been there when they served lunch, but the breakfast is delicious. One lets, skillets, pancakes and etc. you get a good amount of food for the money, which is good. Second, the atmosphere is great. It's an older building so the benches are wooden and seats at the counter are old tractor seats. Which are quite comfortable. The noise level is quiet to moderate. Good little family restaurant. It can get pretty busy on Saturdays so I recommend getting there early to get some seats, but during the week isn't too bad. read more

Driving through town a few years ago on a rainy Sunday morning we found this little out-of-the-way café. I had the banana pancakes and I have raved about them for years since. This past weekend we had an opportunity to go back through this little town and stopped in for lunch. Wow it's as good as I ever remembered and probably better. This is one of those middle of America Hometown cafes with great service, friendly smiles and fantastic food. read more

Best breakfast around. I love "the works scrambler" it comes with a huge cinnamon roll that will knock your socks off. If you're in the mood for pancakes, all you need to order is one, they are gigantic. Get there early before they run out of fried chicken on Thursdays only. They have daily specials and use high quality ingredients. Come hungry because you won't want to miss out on their home made deserts that are not only tasty but a work of art. There is so much to say about this no-signage, mechanic shop look alike cafe. If you get the chance to go more than once, which you will if you eat there once, try the hash browns, a cheese burger, and barbecue (if you come in the summer-roll down your window as you drive through Falls City and you'll know if they have something smoking.) read more
