He is the B-E-S-T!!!We drive one hour and forty minutes and he is sooooo worth the drive. He understands the human body and in addition to that knowledge he has a unique gift of sensing exactly where attention needs to be given. In other words you leave his room feeling brand new..... the stiffness..... the aches......will disappear. Your breathing will be so much better. Your entire body is relaxed and says, "thank you." Just got a massage from Terri at One Spirit, and it was absolutely perfect. This was my first massage since COVID and I'd definitely feel comfortable going back to One Spirit again. Masks must be worn at all times by staff and clients. They encourage clients not to touch the doors and use hand sanitizer on entering the studio and exiting. And, the therapist sanitizes the hands at the start and end of the session. Highly recommend! read more

I am on vacation. So you think I'll treat myself right... nice relaxing massage ... throw on the hot stones... sprinkle some fancy aromatics... nope not our hero, not that he isn't down for feeling good... nope not at all. What attracted to me to this studio was I had a problem. You see... I took a full day trip from Lewes to Cape May, and as a result... 80 minutes each way, standing up in bobbing water, a few walks and trudging the pavement, high vacation living with glasses of beer and wine, and I get home and... Thunk.. There goes my back... Ah I knew this feeling. The one were your lower back turns to cement and down you go as stabbing pain goes through your legs and help I've fallen and can't get up comes roaring through your skull. Sleep on this and I'll be better right... wrong... I wake up the next morning in stabbing pain. I am barely halfway through my vacation and picture the remainder of it stuck in front of the tv, or in a wheelchair while the beach goes on without me. But I will not let this back ruin.. me oh hell no... I demand satisfaction. So I get up and walk to the beach, and pass out... in the sand on all fours screaming... I probably looked like some lunatic nursing a hang over, and the fact it was so early the closest person was maybe 80 feet away, with the boardwalk the same, this is when you know... this is NOT a good sign. Crawling through sand in pain is not something I would recommend to anyone.... I called up the studio after figuring some massaging could help. I spoke with the women on the phone and literally said... I am broken... I don't mean I want to feel better, but yah ok... well I do... but seriously I am screwed up, I need to be fixed... I was told there was a chance to come in for an hour, so I picked late afternoon while I gave myself a chance to recover. I sauntered in to a classic dimly lit, peaceful area, soft curtains, and quiet space. Tom came in and basically started on me early, and even tried a few things for another 10 minutes afterwards. He was already on the issue, as I was even walking up the stairs like the hunchback of Notre Dam. He was very professional, and mentioned that if I didn't feel comfortable with anything to let him know. Away the work began... ah yes... hands in strange places... but this was business.. no fooling around here this back needed FIXING! This back was not going to ruin me. After awhile it was evident I was feeling better but the problem persisted a little bit. Tom was determined. I am going to try to work on your sacrum ok... sure thing dude... Ah GETTING TO KNOW YOU... la la la...!!! What just happened...? Ah let's try this one.. yup sure.. snap crackle pop Rice Friggin come the Krispies... oh yeah... we have touchdown as while not leaving 100%, I was able to finally walk again and with a giant smile on my face. In short... this place and Tom SAVED my vacation, and sped up my recovery to boot. I am not the person who has to go get pampered on vacation, but the fact that I could call this place and get myself fixed up was a huge plus. In fact there's is probably a good chance I will even go back just because it was such a pleasant experience. read more

I was leaving the post office when I saw a sandwich board with flyers for One Spirit on the sidewalk. Seeing as how it was nearly 100 degrees and too hot to tan all day, I decided to see if they happened to have an opening. The receptionist was very pleasant and said I could be seen at 4:15 (in about 45 minutes). I said that was fine but the massage therapist said he could push back a later client and take me right away (sucks for the other girl but yay me)! My therapist was Mircea, who is super cute and has a sexy accent. He led me upstairs to the massage room which was very dark and had meditation music playing. We talked about what I wanted from the massage and then he began. I'd never had a male therapist before but Mircea was professional and made sure to ask if the pressure was ok at various intervals. I like strong pressure and he got all the knots out of my shoulder. Overall, it was a really good massage. I'm leaving off the fifth star because $90 for a fifty minute massage may have been a little steep. Wandering around later, I came across another massage studio that offered 90 minutes for $110. Still, I enjoyed the massage and would see Mircea again. read more

Came across One Spirit online when searching for somewhere to have a lymphatic drainage massage. I had a recent tick bite and i am being treated for lyme and co infections and thought this would be a good way to work in detoxing. I called in Saturday and was able to get a Sunday morning appointment. The location is great, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxing, comfortable and clean. My husband and I booked a massage while vacationing in Rehoboth Beach. We both had a wonderful experience. My husband had Gregg, who showed him some stretches that would help his sciatica and did a deep tissue massage that alleviated the tension in his muscles. I had Francisco who did a combination deep tissue and Shiatsu massage. I was totally relaxed when it was over. My husband prefers minimal conversation while getting a massage and was accommodated, I prefer interacting and had a fascinating conversation with Francisco. I have a lot of experience with Chiropractic and Physical Therapy care but have only had about a dozen massages throughout my life. I've become increasingly impressed at the skill of most of the massage therapists I have experienced. But meeting Tom at One Spirit Massage Studio left me with one word for my hour-long experience. "DELICIOUS"! The atmosphere at O.S.M.S. is ethereal from the moment you enter. The care provided and the depth of detail taken about my various ailments was impressive. And the gentleness Tom provided at my tender areas: shoulder, head, arthritic thumbs and a healing broken finger was more than I had hoped for. Tom responded immediately and masterfully at my requests for less or more pressure. He intuitively located the areas where I needed more care and attention. Like several previous reviewers' experience, I booked two appointments for SWEDISH massages at One Spirit Massage Studio, expecting a professional and relaxing experience. Instead, I was given a very strange and not at all relaxing massage that I didn't even want or ask for. Right off the bat, I have to listen to my masseuse urinating in the bathroom directly next to my room, which certainly wasn't my idea of relaxing. Then he begins the session by rubbing my head and neck very hard, which wasn't at all pleasant. He told me this was his way of calming me down and relaxing my nervous system. (???) Ok, I thought - I guess that makes sense. He then tells me that I wasn't relaxed because he could see my eyes moving and that that meant I must have not been relaxed and that he would not begin my massage until I was completely relaxed! Umm... what? I chose to get a massage so I can GET relaxed, that's the whole point. After about 10-15 minutes of this weird rubbing, he pulls out some type of vibrating massager and starts using it on my feet and legs. WTF? If I wanted a vibrating massager used on me, I would have gone out and bought one. He then lifts my leg in the air and just... holds it there.... completely still... for literally 5 minutes. It's at this point I should have stopped him and said this is not what I wanted, but at the time I thought this was some kind of warm-up to my actual massage?? Because this was not at all what a Swedish massage is like. I'm extremely disappointed with my massage and I wish that I had just received the massage that I wanted when I made the appointment in the first place. I wish I had asked for my money back before I left, because it was a TOTAL WASTE. Do not bother with this place. read more

I'm from Pennsylvania and get down to Rehoboth once or, at best, twice a year. This means I wait all year long to see Tom and have him work his Myofascial Release magic on me! I first went to see him years ago for a regular massage complaining of a tight neck and he suggested MFR in response. I have been hooked ever since. I leave One Spirit relaxed, loose, and flexible - basically feeling like a new human - every time. I was just there for my annual visit in September. Some of these reviews are disappointing to read and perhaps some of these folks ended up getting a different style of bodywork on them than their expectation of a basic massage - of course they should have gotten what they paid for, but - my suggestion is to remain open to what the One Spirit professionals recommend. I look forward to my visit every year and wish I were closer so I could go more frequently! read more

Started out normal with a nice receptionist and cold water to drink. Then I met the person doing the message and thought well... I have been surprised before but nope just as I thought knowledgable but no strength. She was an older lady that basically put oil on me and gently rubbed it on my skin. No deep tissue or pain relief. To top it all if they charged $105 dollars. This is the most I have paid for a massage and it was terrible. I cannot recommend this place to anyone... read more

$100 for one hour massage that was so-so at best. The therapist would massage my neck for a quick second and then hold for about 45 seconds without pressure and wait. After I told him he could apply more pressure he still went very light. I realize that it is difficult when you haven't been working with a therapist but it was obvious that he needed more training to be more proficient with swedish massage techniques. My partner and I both came across One Spirit Massage Studio quite by accident but I'm so glad we did. We decided to each book massages for our 5-year anniversary gift to each other. My partner had George, who really worked on sports-specific (tennis) issues my partner was having. I had Tom, and although I had originally requested an all-over deep tissue massage, Tom ended up doing a complete hour of upper body focused massage. He noticed that there were some issues with my left shoulder and neck muscles from his intital structural analysis when he met me at the front desk. He couldn't have been more intuitively correct! I felt like a million dollars when it was over and a lot of the 'snap, crackle, and pops' I've heard in my shoulder and neck stopped after the massage. Tom was great and my partner said George's sports massage was also amazing. I would not hesistate to return, every time we're back in town over the summer holidays. If I were lucky enough to live in the area, I'd be there a couple times a month. Professional and superior service all around! read more

My experience here was bizarre. The man that was giving me the massage would gently press a finger on a "pressure" point on my body and simply hold the position for about a minute. I've just finished a Ten Series of Rolfing sessions with Mircea Pinzaru, and his work with me has been the most compassionate and effective treatment for the chronic neuromuscular pain I've suffered with for 30+ years. I'd heard that people think that Rolfing is painful. It is not. Mircea actively listened to me and has a gifted ability to "read" the body to make the most comfortable adjustments. He meets you and your body where they are and he's not going to take either where it doesn't need to go. Besides, any discomfort was trivial compared to the considerable nerve and muscle pain I was experiencing. I'd been to 20+ specialists in 3 states and had treatments at a world-class hospital, injections, and numerous sessions of physical therapy. Surgery was my next option. I will not be doing that. "Money well-spent," "It's well worth the price," etc. are trite clichés in comparison to the comprehensive therapeutic physical, mental, emotional value of the Rolfing work I was able to participate in with Mircea. Rolfing is actually a very comfortable, and often relaxing, dynamic type of whole body myofascial release and neuromuscular re-education (I'd done my research) that realigns the connective tissues, restores posture, and gets soft tissues unstuck and moving the way the body wants them to. (What a chiropractor does to the spine, [I've been to 3 with no improvement] a Rolfer does to the body-wide net of fascial tissue). Unlike a typical massage, the objective of Rolfing is to initiate actual structural integration of these tissues with one's frame because things are wrinkled, compacted, stuck, and generally out of wack. When I pay attention, I now have a felt sense of my body's working with and being grounded by gravity instead of its struggling against itself and the earth under my feet. Mircea's precision and clear instincts introduced me to what I can feel like in a body with restored structural, and emotional, integrity and supported its being a more comfortable and hospitable place for "me" to live. I will continue the progress by practicing his recommended aftercare suggestions, pointers, postures, exercises, and yoga along with periodic follow-up sessions with him. I am very grateful to have a new place from which to continue my life with much less suffering. Life will now be marked by "before Rolfing, and after Rolfing." Seriously consider a Rolfing Ten Series with Mircea Pinzaru to support the recovery and reclaiming of your suffering body. read more

Simply the best therapeutic massage I've ever had. Period. I stopped in for a massage while on vacation in Rehoboth because I had been having lower back pain since my 13 year old daughter decided to get me in shape with her intense track team workout two weeks earlier. Well, needless to say, this 40 something year old mom can't do what 13 year olds can, so my back had been giving me trouble since then. We were at the beach, so I figured I'd see if a massage could ease the pain at all. I explained my issues to Alina, my assigned massage therapist at One Spirit Massage Studio, who used a bit of myofascial release, craniosacral therapy, and deep tissue massage on me. This felt more like a physical therapy session than a traditional massage, with her asking me where the pain was, and really getting at the issue, using different techniques along the way, and giving me exercises to help with my back issues afterwards. This is exactly what I needed! Alina is fabulous, listens to you, and is incredibly strong!! She totally saved my vacation and helped me to get back on the road to recovery. read more
