I also love that you can make returns to Nordstrom here since this location is super close to me. Having said that the return policy could still be better as once the limited time passes you can't return at all which can be tough. The other thing I think could use some tweaking is the set up with the sunglasses. Many of them have security tags on them which you have to be super careful with not to scratch the glasses with, and the mirrors above them are distorted like a fun house. It's very strange. I ended up having someone remove the tags to try on and walk to a different part of the store to look in a mirror which the staff was fine with and perfectly understanding about but it did create more work for them. Not sure what the solution is, and I will continue to buy sunglasses here due to the price despite the hassle but it would be better if there wasn't one.

Although they they made a minor mistake overcharging me today, I will forgive them and be grateful for the refund. I have to give props to the customer service being great for the first time being in the store. They were very helpful in explaining the layout of the store. They showed me where the casual work attire was and everything else. The second thing I would like to give them props for is giving me 20% off since my coupon was $10 off and they wanted to be extra nice to impress me for my first experience in the store. Although it was a bit of a drive for me, I don't foresee coming back often since I like stores that are in closer proximity to where I live. There doesn't seem to be a consistent style of clothing here, so be prepared to find examples of every era. This is the kind of place I would go if I were looking for something for a period costume and didn't have all that much time to shop. There's a ton of things here, although there is a lot of variation in quality. My biggest qualm was with the jewelry, which felt way too overexcited-about-the-holidays-and-missed-when-big-brooches-went-out-of-style-ey for me. I honestly enjoy any opportunity to point at something and giggle, but this was too easy. The coat section has some honestly gorgeous finds. I am personally not a big fan of the fur coats, but I ran in to a couple of wool ones that I would love to add to my closet. I'm going to go with the coral reef metaphor for this place: there's tons of variation and something for every animal to eat if it spends enough focused time hunting. Just don't get eaten by an octocloth before you do. I bid you happy hunting.

Gone are the days of barely being able to sort through clothing because the aisles are packed too tight and there's too many items on the rack. Everything here is easy peasy. From the furniture and shoes to the homegoods and knick knacks everything had its place. While the prices were a little high compared to places like Goodwill, I wasn't mad about it because Volunteers of America has a great cause and the money raised truly goes back into the community. I ended up spending roughly $25 and walked away with a $200 pair of jeans, a nice pair of boots, glass bottles I've been meaning to buy but luckily found them here, as well as some nice glass decor that matches my living room perfectly.
