So, I read the review about One Hit Wonders, someone buying the wrong product in a smoke shop, posted ALL SALES FINAL. It's worth a read. I was there for the matter mentioned. I am here to tell you how well the staff of OHW handled it. Yes, ALL SALES FINAL, the guy was buying a product, a very, very popular one at that, in an original, sealed box with a very clear picture of the product ON THE BOX! Again, it's a smoke shop, like many others, ALL SALES FINAL. He held the product in his hand. Paid, and immediately, not later, but immediately escalated into full-on obscenities to the woman who had just very-graciously serve him. I know the lady, I'm a regular, you would be very hard-pressed to find someone kinder and always friendly.
There was not a bit of hesitation in his tapestry of profanities alleging that she has intentionally misled him, exhibiting violent demeanor. She did not, I was waiting patiently for her to serve me while she spent a nearly inordinate amount of time with this guy. Friendly from start to finish only for him to completely lose it! He demanded for her to call the police on her on his behalf. I was in awe at this guy's nerve to just lose it as quickly and loudly as he did. I was concerned for myself and the nice lady working. The guy's phone was dead so he went to multiple neighboring small, family-owned local businesses causing an enormous scene until one of them finally followed him out of their business and exchanged very strong words with him, the guy demanding from the businesses and passerby's and patrons to call emergency police services. He stalked the businesses for hours. A couple of them finally, concerned for their safety and the safety of their staff and customers, called for police action. The guy was unhinged! Completely! I waited around for quite a while just as an extra body of protection from this guy losing his mind over his voluntary purchase that he spent 3-5 minutes deciding on a flavor, and handling many boxes assorted brands and flavors. It was a very specific product choice he settled on.
The kindness and professionalism by OHW is magnified every time I enter the store. This situation was scary, not knowing how far this guy was going to escalate matters, when it took him about 1.5 seconds from being a happy customer to the level he hit of anger. The scene was unreal. The response from the staff was as best as it could have been. People in fear of lives and safety are not "thugs" as he alleged, there was serious cause for concern.
OHW offers exemplary service, at a level not found in any other smoke shop I have ever been in. The store is magnificent. The staff is, well, the store is lucky to have the staff they have; they're all amazing. The owners must know because staffing like theirs does not happen without specific hand-choosing of people they have working there. The staff is AMAZING. I drive past 4-6 other smoke shops to make it to One Hit Wonders!
I, for one, sort of appreciated coming across the "review" of a 1-star experience. It was a tell-all of the person leaving the review of just how bad of a scene he caused and that he did stalk the store and others for hours. It's a case where the customer was the 1-star, because no one lets people leave 0 or negative stars.

This store is as local as local gets with a very strong emphasis on sourcing local product. This store is a 10-star store. I hope you read the other review. I was there. The review is as unhinged as the scene created by the guy reviewing and leaving a 1-star. It was bizarre and very scary. This store gets major kudos for how well it was handled.
