There are many clients that have been here as long, or longer than me. I appreciate the classbased teaching, with an individualized touch. The coaches and owners know my name. There is such a sense of community here. I have a complete home gym, but I still love coming to CrossFit EW for the community and a class. I certainly push myself more in a group situation, and I appreciate the coaches watching each one of us, giving tips and tricks and pointers. They won't even go so far as to tell you how much weight to lift or give you additional exercise options if you're not comfortable with a particular exercise or if you were not very proficient in a particular exercise. I appreciate their expertise. This gym is not a typical CrossFit gym because it has a towel service, clean bathrooms, clean showers, plenty of parking, as well as a small bar area which serves protein shakes to order. The equipment is in good shape, and there is plenty of equipment for everyone in the class. You also don't have to clean up after yourself, like some CrossFit gyms, this place has a cleaning crew and the coaches are very good about keeping it clean. Of course you have to return your own equipment, you can't leave it sitting out, but those are the same rules for any gym. There are new monthly challenges, a whiteboard to post your personal goals, and fun member events sporadically throughout the year. This is a great gym to start your journey of fitness. They focus on physical and mental well-being, exercise, and nutrition. There are so many different classes and courses available, as well as individualized training. With 30-45 min isometric workouts and 15 min HIT sessions. They also have an air conditioned FX zone with a silent trainer using weights and kettle bells. I have planter fasciitis and bad knees. Other gyms made it too painful to continue but not Hotworx. It doesn't hurt anymore and my skin looks so much better. More calories burned in a short amount of time and sometimes if I'm too tired I can sit in the sauna and still burn. Plus all the extra goodies they offer help too on top of so many opportunities to earn raffle tickets to a possible free month. 24/7 with a specialized passcode to the front door and staff Monday through Saturday. The equipment is standard CrossFit stuff, made by Valor. They also have rowers and echo bikes. There is a long row on the back wall of bars for pull-ups, muscle ups etc. I've done a couple unofficial workouts here with local community members and friends and family of the owner. I've invited a couple friends as well. Everyone has felt welcome and they go over everything for the newbies. They're keen on letting people know how to modify or scale the workout according to your fitness level, age, injuries etc. I have never had any issue finding equipment for the workout. There is enough to go around. The warmup sometimes is a little jog around the parking lot and they have it all measured. I can't wait for this place to be up and running fully. I hear they may have a cool hangout area, lockers, showers, even a tanning bed. We shall see! In the meantime- they are on instagram so check them out there for more info.
