When I…read moreoriginally moved to the central florida area last year, I thoroughly researched each box mainly for validity from other reviewers, challenge of the workouts, and the knowledge of the coaches. All of the coaches here have extensive backgrounds in fitness that go well beyond the level 1 crossfit certification that's required to become a trainer. I don't want to sound like an infomercial here, but back in May I was having trouble with some of my workouts due to lower back pain, one of the coaches showed me some stretches I should start doing and since then I haven't had any problems since! I've also lost a little over 15 lbs since joining, which I attribute to eating better as well. This is just one small example, of how this box has helped me reach my goals. As with most crossfits I've visited, all the members are super friendly and supportive. And as far as challenge of workouts, I would say this gym lifts heavier than most I've visited, which I like because it pushes me out of my comfort zone. However the workouts are scaled to ANYONES fitness level, and there are still some movements I still scale to this day. I would suggest that anyone searching for a gym check out the establishment's website and to look at what a typical week or two of workouts look like at that particular crossfit. This is also another tool I used to ultimately come to my decision of picking this gym, because the workouts were varied and challenging, but not impossible. Also, the gym just underwent a huge expansion and got tons of new equipment to work with.

Pigeon pose, rolling out the hips and wrists, downward dog, etc. I love when instructors incorporate a bit of stretching at the start of class. The class itself had a lot of pulses and we used a good amount of the equipment. We used the ring, the free weights, the resistance band, and the Pilates ball. I've tried physical therapy, acupuncture, yoga and weights to work through my injuries to no avail. So I went in for a consult. He was the first trainer to say "OK, tell me what's going on" and listened to everything without interrupting. He asked a ton of detailed questions, wrote down a ton of notes, took measurements and walked me through the goals for each week. He gave me actionable nutrition advice that helped me stay on track even to this day. If you have scar tissue, an unresolved injury, are frustrated with your physical therapist (like I was), Jim will change your world. After the first session I had improved range of motion in my left side. He is extremely detailed oriented and will challenge you to the end but will adapt every motion to meet you where you are. He is a stickler for form and it shows because no matter how intensely I worked I was always able to work out and feel great the next day. I left every session feeling like a BAMF because he showed me that even with injuries I was capable of so much. I recommend Jim and his practice totally and completely. Wherever you are in your life, if you're frustrated, or want to simply improve your techniques, or want to overcome your injuries, Jim is your trainer.

There is everything you need and more, from treadmills, stepmasters, free weights, even a Babe Cave. They have Zumba class, Matt Pilates, and boot camp, and they are all great. Need more, register with one of the amazing personal trainers for accountability and that extra push you might need. Time to relax, there is a sauna. There is also an infrared sauna, cold plunge tub, cryo bed, and a hydro massage chair. Need to tan, you'll also find a tanning bed. I'm in love with this gym. Btw, it is open 24/7.

I've clearly gotten much stronger in just a short period of time & feel great overall. I was concerned about some back issues (shoulder too) but I've modified some of the movements or weights with no problems. The camaraderie is an unexpected bonus. Pretty much everyone knows everyone and supports & encourages each other. There is a very wide range of ages, strength, skill, fitness levels, etc but they all mix together well. Give it a try!
