My friends and I sat on the outdoor patio which is sheltered and looks out over the vineyard. We enjoyed the range of entrees then shared Saganaki, Crab and Lamb dishes. We had the wine pairing, so enjoyed two Main Ridge Chardonnays and two Main Ridge Pinot wines. Service and wine commentary was great and we felt very well looked after. Lunch was relaxed, we sat and talked and didn't feel any sense of being rushed through or needing to leave. It was all fabulous. Thank you.

Fear not, all that smell results in some delicious wines! Moorooduc ...wow…read more The cellar door is nice and homely (home-made sour dough bread might be for sale if you're lucky), and the friendly Emma serving us helped make this a delightful stop, but the wines themselves stand on their own as the reason to get down here. We're not usually big white drinkers, often skipping them in a tasting, but we got our socks knocked off us right off the bat with the first tasting; a Pinot Gris that was so sprightly and delicious it would have to be one of the best whites I've ever tasted. The Chardonnays that followed also were top-notch, as were the Pinot Noirs. It's just all so good. The whole-bunch Shiraz might be a little different for some people's palates but well worth trying to see for yourself. To my taste-buds; this is home to some of the Peninsula's best wine, and a place we'll be introducing many others to soon.

They then called the day before the event and pulled the rug out from under us saying a wedding had booked out the entire venue, we'd been moved and drinks post could no longer happen. We pounced on the strawberries, the massive juicy grapes, the sweet popcorn, the camembert cheese and deliciously salty crackers as we enjoyed our chardonnay. We were then told an outrageous story by the male owner about him being a porn star and then the inventor of the chupa chup, which is pronounced choo pa choop. Not chapa chup. Apparently the most popular flavour was cola. Their rose is delicious. The shiraz is not to my liking. But the sparkling pinot meunier is to die for. I dislike champagne including the overly expensive moet chandon but this one was easy drinking and had so so many tiny bubbles that seemed to last forever (proposal drink people?). The female owner with the huge tortoise shell glasses made sure our glasses and tummies were full as we indulged in thick crispy pretzels and consumed our sparkling. Go here for the wine, the entertainment and the hospitality.
