This is what happened to me ..... We gave Eric Rubin from UNITED ARTISANS - BUILDING AND REMODELING a deposit to start building our home. He put his partner Rich Jewell in charge but he was impossible to reach to get updates , they barely started the job and didn't complete what we agreed in the contract. Due to legal and a messy issues , we terminated him. Eric agreed he didn't perform his job due to all kind of excuses and signed the termination . He gave us records of what he spent with the deposit and whats left to give us back. We gave him 2 weeks (14 business days) to return the rest of the money but of course he is not responding to texts, calls or emails. We sent a demand letter asking for the money back but of course it seems that we will need to go to court . It's 2026 and there are multiple ways to communicate and yet not a single contractor can set or confirm an appointment. Just echoing the other reviews that this company does not communicate, and I'm tired of having to be available on everyone's schedule but my own when it's my home and my money paying for it.
