We hired Jason for two relatively small home repair projects: repairing some baseboards and wall…read morepaint touch ups , and replacing and staining the quarter-round trim around our fireplace hearth, along with some minor paint touch-up. The agreed cost was $550, which we paid in full before the work was completed. Unfortunately, the fireplace project was never finished despite being fully paid. Separately, we had paid a professional carpenter $750 to build two custom interior barn doors for our home. We entrusted those doors to Jason simply to paint or stain them. Instead, he left them outside in the rain, permanently damaging them. To "replace" them, Jason built two new doors himself. However, they were constructed as heavy exterior-style barn doors, weighing approximately three times as much as our original custom interior doors. They are far too heavy to be safely installed on our interior walls and are completely unusable for the purpose they were intended. As a result, we lost our original $750 custom barn doors, never received a suitable replacement, and our original fireplace trim project remains unfinished despite having paid in full. Our experience resulted in unfinished work, damaged property, and significant additional expense. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Jason.

I can not say enough about the absolutele professionalism that came from Lavallee Construction!…read moreKyle and Rod were absolutely amazing! The job I hired them for was to rebuild my deck and they worked with me from beginning to end, even offering suggestions. They were honest, hard working, and always communicated with me. I signed my contract after agreeing to an affordable quote and they actually finished ahead of schedule. Never pressured me for the deposits and always asked me to come out to see the progress they had made that day. Kyle is a very hard working guy and will stay until the job is done right. I can't say enough and can't express how happy I am with the finished project. They did above and beyond and I am definitely calling them for any additional work I have. I HIGHLY recommend Lavallee Construction. Personable, honest and trustworthy through and through!

SD Construction was hired to remodel a 3 season room, turning into a fully heated, insulated,…read moreusable space. The job entailed adding walls, siding, insulation, drywall, electrical, split unit installation, installing windows, and finish wood work. From the beginning, I was very happy with Scott and his team. I received the requested, itemized estimate within the time frame he gave me. We communicated mostly through email and the questions i had about the estimate and throughout the process were answered right away. During construction, when an existing wall was removed and wood rot was found, Scott talked us through the problem and laid out our options being very clear that the additional work, should we choose that route, would require additional cost. He was upfront about the additional costs (that are often unavoidable) and I felt that he always had the best interest of the project in mind. He wasn't looking for ways to increase cost but was honest when it was unavoidable. The project was completed in a timely manner and though construction brings its own sort of mess, the guys kept my yard and the area as neat and clean as possIble. The project was also completely in a reasonable time frame. If and when a delay occurred (weather, materials, etc) I was notified of it. In the end, I have an awesome new room, that demonstrates pride in workmanship and attention to detail. I would highly recommend SD Construction!
