QuikTrip (QT) May 28, 2026…read more (3/5) QuikTrip is a brand I genuinely like and have come to rely on, especially when I lived in Texas, so I had certain expectations walking into this location. As a store, it was fine -- clean, well-organized, well-stocked, with the food and drinks you'd expect from any QT. None of the fundamentals were missing. What was missing for me was the warmth. At the QT locations I got used to in Texas, you can't even step through the door without a staff member calling out a friendly "welcome in!" -- it's almost a brand signature down there, and it sets the tone for the whole visit. At this location, I walked in and got nothing. No greeting, no acknowledgment, just business as usual. It's a small detail, but it's the kind of small detail that separates a great convenience store stop from just a transaction. The store itself does its job and there's nothing wrong with it. But if QT as a brand is going to keep that warm, friendly culture as part of what makes it stand out from every other gas station and convenience store, the team at this location could take a page from their Texas counterparts. Decent stop, just missing that bit of personality that makes the difference.

Pros: love QT! The clean bathrooms. Super fast/speedy and easy check out. The cheap styrofoam…read moredrinks. The roller items. I like the chicken taquitos and the cheddar jalapeño hot dogs. Contrary to urban legend, they clean the rollers very regularly. They just do it during off peak hours so you don't see them doing it. Cons: uh the place across the street seems happening! Cheaper gas and more ethnic food options? The place across the street decorates for Christmas and QT doesn't.

I am not saying they are three stars on every occasion. In fact, sometimes they are excellent, but…read moreit is the other times they are complete and utter failures that makes me give them three stars. Most recently, they told me that my preapproval for a prescription was denied. I asked them to find out why. Without further correspondence, they contacted me a little over a week later and told me I needed to pick up my prescription "TODAY or it would be returned to stock." I asked why it was turned down in the first place and the young woman simply stated, "I don't see that it was denied. It has been waiting for you to pick it up for about a week." This would not be so bad if not for the fact they absolutely will not even accept a refill request until the day it is due to be refilled. So I have waited over a week without meds. The med in question is lyrica for my peripheral neuropathy. And this might not be so bad if they showed ANY degree of empathy or sympathy for the pain I have endured all this time. And hey, they say simply I should have requested a refill sooner. Hmmm, I'm on auto refill. Why didn't they alert me ahead of time that the refill was declined. In short, they seem to have no idea what professionalism is required of ANYONE in the medical field. Note, this is far from the only issue I have had with them over the years. Heading off a question, I can see this pharmacy from my backyard. I can walk there if I want to and not even get my car out of the garage. This is the ONLY reason I tolerate this otherwise unacceptable mediocracy. One more comment, each one of the employees can be quite pleasant, but they seldom ever come across as any sort of a team. So if you catch that one person who is having a pleasant day, you have a good chance of doing well there. Unfortunately, that is less than a fifty fifty chance of doing well there on any given day. So maybe I am being generous with this THREE STAR review. Then again, if the pharmacist sees one of the clerks treating me badly, he often steps in and takes charge, which, unless they are both having a bad day, is a good thing. He seems to be a good pharmacist, if he worked in a back room away from customers while he works on filling orders. But as far as frontline customer service goes, I find his effort lacking.
